Best Stevie Ray Vaughan Songs

Which Is The Best Song Of The Blues Legend. R.I.P To My Music Idol SRV. Best Song Of SRV ?

The Top Ten

1 Pride and Joy

One of Stevie's finest guitar solos. His energy and passion for the blues truly shines in this song! RIP SRV

He did some amazing Hendrix covers, but as far as an original, this song is my favorite - Blues on steroids!

The absolute best Stevie Ray song!

The song is his best of all time.

2 Texas Flood

A beautifully simple and classic example of perfectly executed blues. Won't ever stop loving it.

It's intangible. I've heard it a thousand times and I'll probably hear it another thousand before I begin to get tired of it.

Ok I didn't think I could vote because I LOVE them all, so I chose Texas Flood, only because I had TO...

I never tire of this song. I have heard lots of versions of it and ALL are just dang awesome.

3 Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

Simply awesome song I can listen to it over and over again and I think he did a better job than Jimi Hendrix

The only player who could play it at a fast pace and still sound amazing. - bighercules

This dude by far one of the best players voodo Child was the best song ever. - Thesaintrob

What...this is top 5

4 Lenny

Outstanding song! There's so much passion in the way that he plays Lenny. It sounds like no other song in the world. Check out the live at carnegie hall performance. It'll blow you away

Can't believe this is not in the top ten

One of the most beautiful instrumental ballads of all time...SRV's finest!

Should be on top 10

5 Little Wing

Best one ever, solo is awesome!

Even though it's a cover... it's so amazing

Better than hendrix version

My all time favorite, I'm in awe!

6 Cold Shot

Simple and true blues

7 Life by the Drop

I listened to Stevie's album for years now but this song is my most favorite, it sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it... Always want to hear it, again and again...

Great song well done, most excellent 12-string. It just works

I'm an ex addict this song really hit home

It was also written by Doyle Bramhall II - BrianScott01

8 Tightrope

Clean riffs again, lyrics from his recovery uncover his soul with touching clarity. A tremendous album, unfortunately his last.

Tightrope to me is a great song and should be in the top 10 to me.

Some of the best guitar work and catchiest melodies I've ever heard. - Beatlesboy9

Amazing

9 The Sky is Crying

The greatest of all time. I love his music and miss the man. The sky is crying touches the soul.

A true individual. He wasn't like anyone and no one was like him. A true artist

All his songs are GREAT but I like "the sky is falling the most don't really know why but I could never get tired of listing it how every many times I heard it continously.

10 Couldn't Stand the Weather

An amazingly cool lick... I think this song is the best of Stevie. The change of the scale in the song makes it perfect.

This is the best song ever! The lick is amazing. Stevie was so creative with his composition!

This should be in top 10. Agree Texas flood and pride and joy are his best

Intro lick is so sick.

The Contenders

11 Crossfire

Simply awesome! If you ever saw it performed live... You would understand#

We go stranded! Caught in the crossfire!

Some of the best guitar work you will ever hear.

These song is one of his best.

12 Rude Mood

Best song ever and iam 14

13 Tin Pan Alley

The live version with Johnny Copeland has a lot of feel and great riffs, along with Stevie playing like he has 3 hands

Great tension in the "mood". Clear sound, very juicy!

This is true blues. Stevie shows the blues is about soul, passion, and pain in this one. His guitar speaks this to us as much as the lyrics do here.

Awesome subtle killer guitar lick!

14 Love Struck Baby

Brilliant SRV song! Should be top 5.

15 Life Without You

Such a comforting song.

Obviously Pride And Joy is number one followed closely by Texas Flood, but this song needs to be in the top 10 as well.

I'd place classics like Pride and Joy, Texas Flood, and Lenny above this one, but jfc, this song is incredibly tasteful and moving.

One of his most emotional solos ever 10/10

16 Scuttle Buttin'

Awesome guitar riff played at lightning speed by SRV in just 2 minutes - Incredible! Top 3 Scuttle Buttin', Love Struck Baby & Couldn't Stand The Weather.

17 Mary Had a Little Lamb

Was always my favorite nursery rhyme, too...

18 Riviera Paradise

How is this not top three?

It don't get no better

This should be higher up on the list. This song beautifully displays the true talent of SRV.

Musicaly, the coolest, calming notes ever.

19 Change It

My top 10 (in no particular order): Change it, Pride and joy, Crossfire, Cold Shot, Couldn't stand the weather, Texas flood, Mary had a little lamb, Little wing, Voodoo Child, Tightrope

Really? Best song. - KidsHaveNoRock

20 Superstition
21 The Things (That) I Used to Do

The guitar solo is so powerful!

It should be at least top 10

22 Tell Me
23 Shake for Me

What a groove!

24 The House is Rockin'

This song is my favorite and I think that should be in top 5

This song rocks! Should be much higher.

25 They Call Me Guitar Hurricane
26 Telephone Song
27 Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love

This is so smooth. I prefer his faster, happier songs like Pride and Joy but this song is nice just to lay down, close your eyes and let this mellow sound wash over you. Lovely. - Britgirl

Love all of his music, but this is definitely my favorite!

28 Look at Little Sister

32 Testify
33 Dirty Pool

This is one of my all time favorites... I almost always cry these days when I listen to Stevie Ray because I know he is gone and will never make any more music. The day he died the music stopped for me in one way. Coming from the south he was and always will be the greatest blues player ever for me.

34 Willie the Wimp
35 Wham!

This is some of the most amazing/underrated guitar playing in a song I’ve ever heard
