Best Super Bowls of All Time
What really makes this Super Bowl great is that it’s the definition of you can win no matter what the odds are. The giants not clinching the nfc East but then narrowly escaping every playoff game is just perfect. Eli narrowly escaping a third down sack at the 50 yard line to complete the today known Helmet Catch to David Tyre was the best football and probably one of the top ten sports moments. And if all the hate the pats got today was happening as frequent as when the pats lost then, this would be more appreciated then it is already. The giants could really use some help today though lol.
It may have been low scoring, but that game was entertaining. Back and fourth, and when the Pats scored, and people thought 19-0 would happen. But the best catch in NFL history, the Tyree catch, and the Burress touchdown to take the lead with the crowd roaring made this game incredible. No doubt, best super bowl of all time!
I’m pretty young, 11 to be exact. I was born in January 2008 and was brought out of the hospital on February 3rd, the same day this Super Bowl happened. The Giants won the Super Bowl on the day I was brought out of the hospital. My parents viewed as a miracle and it might be I don’t know.
The reason why the Giants won this super bowl isn't because of Eli Manning or helmet catch(that did help though), it's because of how well Tom Coughlin knew Bill Bellichick. Another reason is the Giants showed up for this game, and the Patriots didn't. All of this is coming from a Patriots fan.
At least the patriots and giants game was well-played. The falcons just gave up after halftime and gave the patriots a free win. All they had to do was run the ball but instead they throw three incomplete passes and waste maybe 10 seconds. If they had've just done that, they would have won. Most overrated super bowl in history.
I watched this game because I needed the Pats to win (Falcons crushed Packers in the NFC Championship, and I wanted revenge). As Atlanta surged to a 28-3 lead, I oddly thought the Patriots still had a chance. I turned out to be right. Tom Brady made the greatest comeback in NFL history, to somehow win in overtime 34-28.
The first super bowl in overtime was as good as it sounds. Brady's 466 passing yards led to the greatest comeback in NFL history and the Julian Edelman catch was one of the best ever. Also bonus points for flying Gaga
It ripped my heart out, a 28-3 lead. My dad told me the Pats could make a comeback, and I didn't think so. I half expected it, but didn't say it. I was not surprised they were right.
I'd put this game above any other. It was exciting from start to finish. You had James Harrison make the greatest play in Super Bowl history with his pick six to take a 17-7 lead to end the half, before Arizona came back to take the lead of a incredible 64-yard catch and run by Fitzgerald, and a Saftey on the Steelers looked to be the end of it, before the Steelers defense came up clutch to give Roethlisberger one final chance, which he took advantage of by driving down the field and throwing the best throw in Super Bowl history, followed by the best catch in Super Bowl history, and a fumble by Warner on the next drive locked up the Steelers record 6th Super Bowl victory, and shut down the upset Cardinals (who miraculously made the playoffs with a 9-7 record)
When you take into account the aesthetics of the game, no Super Bowl has been a more exciting viewing experience than Super Bowl 43. Seeing the Undefeated Pats go down was sweet, but the numerous big plays at big moments really puts this Super Bowl above all others
The Wrong team won no it had to be the cardinals if they won I would have to many stuff in my room I mean the Steelers. Come ON!
The best ever hands down! 42 was a boring game until the last couple minutes. This one was exciting, big plays all game long
Best game ever from start to finish with the most dramatic play ever at the end. Also featured 2 teams with potential dynasty implications and possibly 2 of the best teams to meet in the super bowl. Unquestionably the best
This game had emotion and controversy. I loved seeing Richard Sherman lose, and I also loved the great back and forth action. Malcolm Butler is my hero, and although I loved 51, this will always be THE Super Bowl tom me.
This is the best super bowl game ever. and this is said by a Seahawks fan. Don't know why you guys think the steelers vs seas hawks game was better where the seahawks got screwed by officiating.
Should be 1 best one ever. Only one close is xliii. Exciting from start to finish
Over 1,100 yards of total offense. Eagles backup Nick Foles outshoots the greatest QB of all time Tom Brady. Going for his 6th Super Bowl ring (Brady) puts together the only 500 yard passing performance in playoff history let alone the Super Bowl and he still comes up short. Brandon Graham causes Brady to fumble in the final two minutes when most people were figuring he was gonna complete yet another Super Bowl winning drive. This has gotta be up there w/ Giants beating the Patriots in Super Bowl 42 as the biggest upset ever. EAGLES finally win a super bowl after decades of mediocrity... FLY EAGLES FLY. Gotta be one of the best football games ever played. 74 points combined by the two teams can't recall more than two drives combined where the teams didn't score!
This was fun, heart pounding, and emotional. A bit off the emotional side that part was just a Little bit because Tom didn’t get his 6th ring. The eagles last drive (before the fumble) in the fourth quarter was very heart pounding. Loved the back and fourth. This was one of the best Super Bowls ever! FLY EAGLES FLY!
The Eagles are no longer the underdogs now. Now they're Super Bowl champs! Hats off to Philadelphia for their first Super Bowl win!
Nick Foles once again proved that Tom Brady is not the goat and can't be the goat.
Overrated superbowl of all time. 2 crapola franchises becoming Cinderella. boring game, good ending but no star power outside of rams offense. Snoozer of a matchup
My heart is broke
One yard short #4
A great Superbowl. Might have had a different ending had the referee not thrown the flag on Benny Barnes after Lynn Swann tripped him. The ball was uncatchable too.
Lynn swann catch I think #9
Not only the greatest super bowl of all time but the greatest coaching job of all time. For Parcells and his protege Belichick to go to Candlestick and defeat the mighty two-time defending super bowl champion San Francisco Forty Niners on five field goals and a fake punt then defeat the Bills' k-gun offense that just demolished the Raiders 51-3 a week before, all with a journeyman quarterback and running back is nothing short of the greatest coaching performance of all time.
Decided by 1 point, Persian gulf war, whitney houstons anthem, red white and blue teams, no turnover, dramatic finish by 2 nfl powers in that era. No flukes or irrelevant franchises without history and fan base like titans, panthers.
No turnover, no penalty all game wow
Only game ever decided by 1 point. end of discussion
At the time the Rams was the team that I hated the most, and the Patriots are currently my second favorite team next to the Bucs.
I was there, Patriots first Superbowl win, Great Game
Too bad that the Bengals were great at the same time Montana was great. Wish the Bengals had pulled it out!
#12 because it was old? This deserves to be in the top 3, amazing game and amazing comeback. This super bowl is better than SB LI
Though the score was kind of lopsided, it really was deceiving. The saints were actually down at halftime. It was a thriller, had the saints failed to recover the onside kick maybe it would've been lower. But this was interesting and one that will be remembered as such.
Sean Payton calls an on-side kick to begin the second half. That was the game right there. If the Saints hadn't recovered; game over. Rank this game MUCH higher
Tracy porter, onside kick, two best teams that season #5
XLII is a definite secon d but this was the best football game ever.
Super Bowl III is the game that made the Super Bowl what it is today.
The only one that really matters.
It should Be in the Top 5!
It should be number 1!
Elway's dive remains one of the greatest moments ever in a sports game.
This should be number 1. The ravens beat the legendary niners
Wasn't this the lights out game?
Should be much higher
Ben roethlisberger's ball actually barely touched the goal line. Not by much, but that's all that's required for a touchdown. The seahawks did not get "screwed". They got beat by the better team
No. This game was garbage. The officiating was garbage. I'm glad that the Bus got his, though
Wrong team won again, but still, probably the best Super Bowl ever
The one that made the others possible!
The original game followed by 51 more
The one that started it all
Back and forth lead changes and big plays. Stupid kicker blows game after great panthers late comeback
One of the most momentum changing plays, longest pass (99 yards) come on!
Think this the one where he drop the catch lol #7
Poopee my pants in this one
An ugly, low scoring defense dominated game. Seriously, the score was an ASTOUNDING 14-7.
