Best Television Characters

The greatest characters ever to appear on television.
The Top Ten
1 SpongeBob SquarePants - SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is a fictional character and the titular character and protagonist of the American animated television series of the same name.
2 Homer Simpson - The Simpsons Homer Jay Simpson is the main protagonist of the American animated television series The Simpsons as the patriarch of the eponymous family.
3 Dean Winchester - Supernatural Dean Winchester is a fictional character and one of the two protagonists of the American drama television series Supernatural.

Dean needs to be higher on this list. He's not the typical 'hero' character. He's witty, sarcastic, brilliant, strong, and will do quite literally anything for his family. He's got a bit of darkness to him, he's not just a black and white character, there are gray areas. He doesn't realize his own self-worth and breaks viewers hearts multiple times. In the end, he is the best character on television.

Dean is perfect. Deserve much better.

4 Bart Simpson - The Simpsons Bartholomew JoJo "Bart" Simpson is the oldest child, and the only son, in the 1987 show The Simpsons. He was created by Matt Groening. His hobbies are pranking people including Lisa Simpson and Homer Simpson.

6 Tony Soprano - The Sopranos Anthony John Soprano is a fictional character and the protagonist in the HBO television drama series The Sopranos, portrayed by James Gandolfini.
7 Dr. Gregory House - House

House M.D is not just a great series because of the cases the hospital gets or the amazing plot twists, it's the characters, and House is the best one. He's a brilliant doctor, but he's rude, hypocritical, has a horrible bedside manner, and is even addicted to painkillers. However, he is a good person. This is shown very well in the season 4 finale. House M.D is memorable for many things, but it is especially memorable for it's titular character.
