Ranked! Timesplitters Characters Part I (A-I)

htoutlaws2012
Viewer discretion is advised

In this I will pretty much do the criteria inspired by a YouTube Video, and maybe tweak some of it to my own customization of each character in existence of the series. I am only going over the playable characters not NPC because that's more story driven than anything. There are a ton of characters in this series, and the number comes out at a staggering 270 combined is unheard of. I thought to myself I am up for the task for this one. All of these will be in alphabetical order, then at the end I will statistically put in together from worst to best, and no i'm not just going by tier that's too easy instead i'll put a good chunk of description to each character I come across. Who is near the tail end, and top epsilon. With that said this should be interesting ''time to split!''

Accountant TS2 - Yes we start off with one that strangely enough in real life can hold firearms so in a sad way this now makes sense although in the game there are portrayed as terrible handling. Plus I probably wouldn't wanna play with a dull looking Accountant anyways, especially not after looking back, and thinking oh Stephen Paddock all these years does kinda make a video game. To be honest without making bad Las Vegas jokes ugh... the dude comes off extremely generic, and uninteresting.

Ample Sally TS2 - If I remember correctly there were two western girls in the wild west that were very similar, but for some reason were not featured in that tomes story mode why I don't know. Ample is the one that's more think then the sister Lean. The two are almost literally had no choice, but to be in the colonel's gang for their own survival can't say I blame them one bit. Hey at least her accuracy is much better.

Amy Chen TSFP - She is one of the main sidekicks for Cortez to tag along with throughout the story. She has little resemblance to Joanna Dark, and Lara Croft but not all the way, and her stealth like approach is a dead giveaway. I would say one of the more awesome new characters introduced in the game probably near the top, and I can totally see why people think Amy is pretty cool addition.

Angel Forge TSFP - Forge is more of a minor protagonist compared to the rest of what Cortez encounters in his time traveling. This cyborg definitely has a personality behind that mask imagine how messed up the mouth must be is still unanswered. Nevertheless a intriguing character from the Ultra Net time period.

Angel Perez TS1 - When I first saw Perez when selecting which protagonists I wanted to be for Planet X I immediately questioned the attire for how strange that was i'm like just go with the dude with the more cooler name then. Now granted she kinda has the fifth Element look, but that's it this was one I just never cared to play with, nor would I wanna bother with.

Anya TSFP - After the death of Corporal Hart, Cortez is being watched on by a new recruit named Anya who is kinda like what Cortana was for Master Chief if reason before story contastrophy. She plays an excellent role in Future Perfect to the point, kinda funny at times revising the story the hinted gags you may have missed when playing it back in the day. If there was ever at TS4 Anya, and Cortez would come back.

Arial DaVinci TSFP - Before you started to get on with the game I started to look around some of the most obscure names out there, and this one was quite a treat maybe not life wise, but you know when you get near the bottom end of the selection, and see this like a lost work of a certain famous artist.

Arthur Aching TSFP - There are a large portion of zombies in the 3rd games of the series, and yet Aching comes off as generic all around zombie. He is basically an undead character, but that's really it to be honest would I pick the character probably not. I prefer other before him for sure.

Aztec Warrior TS2, & TSFP - There are times I come across characters like this where they make more than one appearance, and yet maybe that was for the best giving them another shot. These warriors sound cool, but in TS2 they were so weak to play as. Making them feel like peasants compared to the more high priests of the jungle.

Baby Drone TS2 - These Drones are very unique in which they can cloak which was a first in the series, and wow their the more weaker of the splitters they are very interesting nevertheless.

Bad*** Cyborg TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Unfortunately I must censor part of his name, but yeah this cyborg to me has the best look, and he represents the classic cast of memorable characters throughout the series as a wildly popular choice to go with. Hey he would be one of my go to guys usually, I mean he is all rounded for the most part he has it all to me. The minute I unlocked him in the first game I knew this guy was indeed lived up to his name.

Barby Gimp TS2 - She is basically in a gang of Sadako's of Neo-Tokyo which in fun fact inspired by the film Blade Runner. A very somewhat interesting look to Gimp with the visor, and has claws mysteriously. She's probably one of the more underrated characters with a very unique look you may want to know more about that only made one appearance.

Bear TS2, & TSFP - Yeah because everyone likes a circus animal included in the game this is the only game series you get to see a moving bear shoot you with a gun what a treat. I do like the quote they gave him in Future Perfect which is like saying of a song, which it probably is come to think of it.

Beetleman TS2 - First discovered when doing one of the arcade modes during the elite trial. I first seen Beetleman I thought it was one of the most unique concepts for any character yet I mean the way he looked, and he is one tough little insect to kill he has it all. Unfortunately he never made in Future Perfect.

Big Tony TS2 - Awe yes the big boss the mobster who tries to take down Jake Fenton from reaching him, and... he meets his own fate. Then proceed with similar challenges they used for the Mr. Big of the previous game, and that's pretty much Big Tony.

Blanche Deadwood TSFP - The only maid zombie in existence, and one that's kind of interesting how that individual turned out being zombified to begin with. Did she get murdered by a estranged rich man, or from actual rubbing ''the world may never know.''

Booty Guard TSFP - In Future Perfect they definitely got much more henchman for Khallos to stop Tipper from completing his mission. One in which was highly deadly exchange from Russia well then how expensive is this insurance policy Khallos (Dr Evil *cough *cough)?

Braces TS2, and TSFP - The tough guys messenger for Big Tony even Louie knows who to give the news to... well most of the time. He stood out so much that he even made it in the next game huh well then I don't have a problem with that at all.

Brains TSFP - Yes even a monkey Zombie because why not he has slowly become the mascot of the series. If I have one positive thing to say about one i'm not into is that you look at the socketless holes there seems to be no brain found. I'm just not a fan of this look of a monkey.

Brother Bartholomew TSFP - A very generic white scientists who is bald like most of them except for Sister Faith just how Crow visioned. Yet when I read this dudes name i'm thinking wait he is a scientists, and a man of church as well?

Brown Zombie TS1 - A blatantly generic zombie you encounter at the very first level tomb, and I immediately said ''wow this character is just has no style to him.'' This, and another zombie are way too alike to the point they must of just been filler characters.

Calamari TS2, & TSFP - One of the more obscure characters that are just straight up bizarre that some seem to like me I thought it had a strange looking design for something that is amusing suppose to resemble actual food as the name is referred to. It is kinda humorous being shot by a living squid though.

Design: 5

Total Score: 21

Candi Skyler TS2 & TSFP - I found it quite a mystery how she alone made it in Future Perfect, but Her partner Hova got left out was i because he came off somewhat cocky I don't know, but what I do know is that. Skyler does have that stewardess look only without the hat. Which you know it can't be the strangely similar right?

Captain Ash TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Ash is one of the few that pretty much will be in all the games, while I prefer his first attire over his other two which were lamer he is still an iconic character in the series. His timeline is a bit interesting though where you learn his first actual venture was actually the Jungle then lastly to the tomb which is indeed Ash's best character model, but if that's the case why does he have an american accent when he grunts in the first game? ''Cheers!''

Captain Ed Shivers TSFP - Shivers is the only character to be a pirate, but I say this loosely only because where is the common sense of what one is suppose to look like. I mean yeah his got the anchor, and all, but where is the parrots or the Patch at come on now you're leaving out the bigger details.

Captain Fitzgerald TSFP - A generic foot solider on a ship who is probably working on the cannon firing the island you are seeking to go after. Otherwise he appears in no close site of the story as he is featured as a playable bot from the start. Cool name out of the four, but that's really all I got.

Changeling TS2, TSFP - a very unique concept type of zombie that can shape shift into the victim which is pretty awesome, and this wasn't the only one to do this, but for being the first that's pretty innovative.

CS Animation: 6

ChassisBot TS2 - These are pretty easy bots to take down unlike its heavyweight counter part that bring, and adsorbs a ton of bullets. While seeing to be pretty generic of all the robots, not much personality other then being a mechanic's henchmen, and that is all there programmed to be.

Chastity TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Awe yes the fearless female who along with Gretel have appeared in all of the games. One that has had a interesting look change from the first to the second that actually fits in pretty well with the setting.

Chinese Chef TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Chef is just a completely cool character, and one of the fan favorites that's been thought all the games despite not being a factor in 2, and Future Perfect, but he does get put into Chinese challenges and Arcades over those years its not like there ignoring that factor at all.

Design: 9

Chinese Waiter TS1 - A lot like the Chef only a waiter, and one that's silent, and cool. Apart of Mr. Big's Gang, and he along with the others are trying to prevent cops Tipper, and Malone from getting the evidence boy do they come across with numbers more less inside the restaurant itself.

Design: 8

CS Animation: 6

Clip Clamp TSFP - Just a filler zombie who is actually seems somewhat interesting that he is created of sow. Jacob Crow at it again only this one must of been hand made in a way.

Design: 5

CS Animation: 5
Playability: 3
Total Score: 16

Colonel TS2 - ''I'm the colonel, nobody messes with me!'' Incredibly generic name to give an enemy I mean seriously at least Cortez was called Sargent Cortez in his first appearance, but this guy is just called The Colonel okay... also when he gets hit he already sounds way off from you're typical Confederate solider that's very inconsistent mashing of the voice.

Design: 3
Originality: 3
CS Animation: N/A
Playability: 6
Total Score: 12

Comrade Papadov TSFP - A generic soldier whose accent is hard to determine... wears a helmet so big to the point how does he know when an actual enemy is nearby gamer logic says who knows, and they probably don't get it as I surely don't.

Design: 5

Total Score: 8

Corporal Hart TS2, TSFP - The original sidekick to Cortez in Timesplitters 2 holding off a huge swarm of the splitters, until eventually they managed to get all of the time crystals only for Cortez to see she is dead, but at the end of Future Perfect it is said that once Cortez has defeated Splitter crow that everything has been erased thus Corporal Hart's death then never occurred reverting her back to being alive which wow is that insane in the membrane.

Design: 8
Originality: 9
CS Animation: 4
Playability: 10
Total Score: 32

Cortez TS2, TSFP - Now we get to the main war hero of the series, Cortez is the one that can save humanity from being destroyed, and have everything reverted in his time traveling through he encounters various enemies all from strange, to even robotic. He is the perfect character to have a movie around where Vin Diesel can easily take that role, and I would work like a dime. I like how Cortez evolves from this cool kickass solider, to this more comedic somewhat in Future Perfect I mean they definitely did much with this character where how can you hate that?

Design: 9
Originality: 10
CS Animation: 7
Playability: 8
Total Score: 34

Crispin TS2, TSFP - Probably one of the more cooler undead characters that is inspired by Iron Maiden's iconic mascot Eddie, and you can see that resembled in Timesplitters 2, then in Future Perfect where he sounds a lot more chill considering he is aged at 99 I mean that's weird to say, but this is one undead character that always keeps coming back from beyond the grave.

Design: 6
Originality: 7
CS Animation: 8
Playability: 5
Total Score: 26

Cropolite (Portal Daemon) TS2, TSFP - One of the few characters that goes by two names given, first encounter is that he is incredibly huge in the story Notre Dame, and is one of the easiest bosses in video game history. Seriously all you have to do is move back, and shoot he goes down like that. Much more smaller look though I favor more, and he is pretty good to play for a demon from another dimension.

Design: 9
Originality: 9
CS Animation: 8
Playability: 6
Total Score: 33

Cultist TS1 - We go from great, and memorable to probably one of the more dull, and lame ones, and I wouldn't lie in saying that playing as the Cultist kinda blows. The first unlockable character in the original Timepslitters game, and maybe one I felt disappointed in seeing. granted the appeared more than any other character in the tomb level, but after fighting through all that this is my reward ugh... at least the Chef, and *cough cyborg were far better options.

Design: 1
Originality: 1

Total Score: 3

Crypt Zombie TS2, TSFP - A very tan looking crypt zombie raised by Jacque in the Notre Dame story, he and the Sewer are what you end up fighting off first before getting to the main cult leader. Crypt's design is kinda similar to one of Crispin, but not as epic. He, and many in the same time period reoccur in Timesplitters Future Perfect in a more alternative placement.

Design: 3
Originality: 5
CS Animation: 3

Cyberfairy TS2 - Unique character that plays no role in the games story, but has similarities with DaVinci who also wears barely any clothing. Moves incredibly fast, and has decent aim as well.

Design: 5
Originality: 7
CS Animation: N/A
Playability: 6
Total Score: 18

Cyborg Chimp TSFP - In terms what monkey a prefer, strangely i'll go with the cyborg interpretation the most. Sure there stats are still low, and all, but they carry a banana as a weapon. Not like a zombie where all he has is nothing in style where here yeah this is okay for me.

Design: 5
Originality: 2
CS Animation: 5
Playability: 4
Total Score: 16

Daisy Dismay TSFP - A typical female who is only unlocked if you have a partner to play with kinda sucks, but I did unlock her eventually which was more frustrating than anything. Nevertheless a zombie with a lotta charisma one who is fast as well.

Design: 4
Originality: 2
CS Animation: 6
Playability: 3
Total Score: 15

Dark Henchman TS2 - Unlike the elite counterparts in the second game you had to fight through only the male henchmen some of which were dressed in a more authentic style of black and white. There also like there more dressed to kill unlike the elite's who end getting replaced by these guys as the whole timeline is flipped 4 years from each time travel. The Dark Henchmen is probably one of the more powerful all rounded characters in the game where he is incredibly almost unbeatable to take down. A character with a great challenge, but can be difficult.

Design: 6
Originality: 3

Total Score: 17

Deacon Swain TS1 - One of the original six default heroes to pick from, and honestly he was my least favorite of the bunch why? Take a good close up of this dude does he really look like a protagonist to you? Deacon is a very forgettable character right from the start, but the face says otherwise.

Design: 4
Originality: 5
CS Animation: 2
Playability: 2
Total Score: 13

Deadwina TSFP - Well they did a little of both with this one, where she is definitely inspired by the Exorcist, but at the same time they did this before in the previous game having a small minor character have a zombie like face with Jinki. I never cared about this character simply because Edwina I had no interest in, and I feel the same with her undead counterpart.

Design: 2
Originality: 0

Total Score: 3

Deep Diver TSFP - ''For glory or death'' indeed these guys definitely go in fearlessly after you once you reach near the end of the games story they come from the underwater roots of the underground mining facility underneath the island. These guys seem cooler than most of their actual comrades, but hey there more less tougher opponents compared to scrubs in the beginning.

Design: 6
Originality: 4
CS Animation: 5
Playability: 4
Total Score: 19

Deerhaunter TSFP - Well that's one dark moose charging its horns like a bull right at you, he was slimmed down a significant some when he was already an unlockable character, but he was a much more formidable sub boss compared to the portal daemon from the previous game. Despite being weird with hooks for arms, but a very cool addition to the final installment perhaps sadly.

Design: 9
Originality: 8
CS Animation: 8
Playability: 7
Total Score: 32

Dinosaur TS2, TSFP - Literally a good character for target practice if you have gotten rusty over the years, towards the end of arcade league you'll know what I mean its satisfying taking down loads of Dinosaurs as the ultimate predator in this case with a crossbow, and take down all of them as fast you can which I remember being one of my favorites playing. In Future Perfect he is a default section from the start which alright I guess.

Design: 5

Dozer TSFP - he is one of the few characters in the history of the series that can hover when the move around, he may look menacing by his eyes, and considered a cyborg, but his stat are very poor he is better off the slaughtered prisoner role that's actually fits quite nicely.

Dr. Katje Nadir TS1 - Awe yes the Russian doctor who ended up giving us her daughter in the next game whose pretty cool as well. I always pick her easily over Graven who just seems like he isn't not much use for me to even care for where with Katje yeah there's enough care for the character between the connections, and the way she looks very interesting backstory.

Design: 7

Dr. Lancet TSFP - A generic scientist who appears frequently in the levels of the mansion in Future Perfect in fact they even show you the witness the transformation of him being turned into a zombie as he is already one of them. He is just one of those that shows that he is a flat out coward when it comes to being fearful type.

Dr. Peabody TS2, TSFP - I like his voice in the second game, but in Future Perfect I get why he was there, but not as epic for me. ''i'll take care of that bomb for ya.'' Where he is given no role in the final game its like why have em there well since he was a favorite of the previous game I get it.

Dr. Pustule TSFP - Like I may have said previously a zombie version of the actual generic scientist. Well little to no difference from this, and one thing I hated in Future Perfect in general is that they made a lot of those similar slight differences, but lack the creativity of the model.

Duckman Drake TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Who doesn't love a duck shooting a gun, but also being hunted making hysterical noise when they got shot, and that would be sir Drake Duckman spelled backwards. Wacky in a good way, he is another character whose great for target practice, and most of all he is a cult favorite by the fans that always returns in every single Timesplitter game.

Elijah Jones TS2 -While Mordecai, and Peekabo are alright at best it was Elijah who I thought was legit good. I mean even in the opening cutscene he just seems like the ultimate gunslinger. Eli Scrubs TSFP - Also known as the last character picked from outta the hat as a default selection in arcade. Seriously though let's take a good look here, Robot legs, and a cactus face ugh... and even more fascinating is that when you look cloesly at his eyes notice how their pink-ish... the cactus is high on drugs, and i'm gonna leave it at that.

Female Cyborg TS1 - Now we get to the opposite of sub-par well done looks to just nothing really that special to it. This cyborg is probably the weakest one out of all of them in terms of design.

Female Trooper TS2 - These space marines are apparently allies with Corporal Hart, and Sergeant Cortez in Timesplitters 2. While the male trooper is in the game itself seen killed off by one of the Reaper splitters the Female trooper is no where to be found, but can be played in the arcade mode using her 3 different times.

Fergal Stack TSFP - One of the last enemies put in the story mode that you later unlock in the game itself, he has a pretty good ugh... animation, and he seems like a solid henchmen to have been a machinist.

Fingers McKenzie TS1 - While he is supposedly a protagonist in the fist game he and Velvet steal jewel, but hid them in a chemical plant. Not sure why i'm taking control of two thieves, but whatever let's cause some mayhem!

Fishwife Mutant TS1 - Probably my least favorite of the mutants that you see close up in the village level. There are many other better selections then to go with a fishwife. This is one character who seemed completely rushed, and just completely bizarre in general to understand such as shooting her head, and than seeing its Green Zombie all this time what is this Scooby Doo or something.

Float Alien TS1 - Oh hey another alien, and one that floats that's cool I guess, remember what said about the female alien well still a interesting character, but at the same time compared to the others its hard to see if this is the weakest of the bunch which is tough to determine, but I slightly like him more than I another alien who I will talk about a little later down. Although he only appears in the spaceways mission, but strangely not the Planet X mission which okay.

Freak TSFP - Awe yes the tough endurance Freaks from the U-genix mission that I actually had a lot of trouble with only because of the distance I had to keep from him. First look of him I'm like this dude looks awesome too bad he was in it for a good 20 minutes of the mission. This is the one character in Future Perfect they hit a home run with because he was already a unlockable character when the game started, and even in the games story he was very interesting sure he looks a lot like the Hybrid mutant, but with The Freak being introduced was just so greatly executed.

Now, here in Manhattan... the spell is broken. And we live again!'' Just imagine if they used this character like that epic narration by Keith David, but not quite in the second game, but he does have an accurate look at least, but the voice ugh... it is what it is.

Gaston Boucher TSFP - Oh my an undead chief in a mansion lookout with his blood murderous hands coming to get me ahh! Seems like a good addition kinda side by side with the Chinese Chef in a way only there from two different times... he might look human, but don't be fooled until learning one shot to the head, and that's pretty creepy.

General TSFP - Generic name for a character is one thing I have a problem with, and second aside from being semi-decent as a side protagonist he just tells you the agenda of what to uncover. Pretty much you find out oh he is the one running this whole command by the name obviously thrown out there. Why give him a name or something. Almost as lazy as The colonel. I bet if you made another Timesplitters game (which is unlikely) you could make him into a turncoat which would be interesting, only that's like how Atlantis was basically.

Ghost TS2, TSFP - At one point you may have noticed I used Ghost as one of my profile pictures, well he is probably one of the most interesting looking characters since debuting in Timesplitters. Completely different from the rest with the others in his own travel time as well in the world of Blade Runner pretty much with excellence music to listen to while being incredibly stealthy. What is this Metal Gear Solid Suddenly?

Gilbert Gastric TSFP - Basically an updated look from the Feeder zombie so kinda like a rehash, but a noticeable one at worst. Comes off even more bland then the previous entry thrown in because why not add in more filler we need 150 characters.

Girl Zombie TS1 - Thus he had a smile of a few minutes until he realized he went back to mention the undead once again. hmm... okay yes she was one of the most difficult characters to unlock because that Mansion level is ridiculous on Hard, and next there is an interesting theory about this zombie. Gregor Lenko TS2 - Lenko is a pretty underrated protagonist in the story portion of Timesplitters 2 I mean he has his own voices, and none of it is recycled so what gives why didn't he at least come back another time around why not give the Russian bear another run.

Gretel TS1, TS2, & TSFP - One thing that I do like is all of Gretel's designs look great, and she has been treated probably the best of the cast of those who have been in all of the games. She is kind the anti-hero in the second game where in the first she is the protagonist somewhat despite little explanation put into spaceways aside from boarding without clearance. The second game you must assassinate the dark machinist who builds hundreds of clones of the two same robots, and defense turrets which was one of hardest to beat. In Future Perfect she is just there by default with no major role.

Hank Hova TS2 - The most forgotten of these here heroes to the point his sidekick ends up being put in the next game by herself is still a complete mystery to me why not just have the two like Ghost and Chasity... did he come off smug like or did he just wanna die on the planet ''the world may never know.''

Hans TSFP - Oh dear... not this freak of nature like wha... what am I looking at? Black pupils eyes, what type of gear is he wearing, and worst of all his pose is creepy ''Hey wanna be in my gang?'' Harry Tipper TS1, TS2, & TSFP - Awe yes the doppelganger of Austin Powers in video game form, Tipper does have a personality, but also a confusing time wraps from how his order goes from the Train, to then he is a Police officer in Chinatown, to then to Khallos's island. It does at least make some sort of sense because how did Khallos go from having Blond hair to brown in just 3 years. Tipper never seems to change that much of his look other then the attire he is given in each of the games.

Hick Hyde TS1 - For me he is the best of the mutants why is that well he is has a great selection reaction, and I like that look A cowboy hat plus the disinformed arm kinda like Bionic Commando. I wanted him back in the second instead the one they did end up choosing. He has a lot of inspiredness to him as well thus why there's a beaker in his hand.

High Priest TS2, & TSFP - For a dude who is suppose to be a priest he sure doesn't look like one to me, but hey more to him. He looks good at least, and while he isn't one of my go to's he is somewhat more interesting than the actual Aztec warrior.

Hunchback TS2 - Another character i'm surprised didn't make with the rest of his own settling I mean why is the Hunchback left out from the rest? Impersonator TS1, & TS2 - Oh the king of rock 'n' roll lives in Timesplitters... oh no wait its just a cheap impersonator parody joke i all he is which strangely the fans likes I never quite understood why, but he just seemed like Elvis to me ''Thank you very much.'' Which reminds of another terrible game that I know of.
