Drops of Jupiter

Great song. My best friend recently died and I would like to think he's still around somewhere in the universe. I cannot listen to this song without tearing up. Train recently performed at a conference I attended and I waited all night to hear them perform Drops of Jupiter. Right before they sang it, my friends- who never heard of Train- told me they felt ill and needed to leave. Since I was driving I left with them and as were were walking out I heard the distinctive opening words and I never wanted to kill someone like I did them. Not to worry- I'm going to see them next month and I will finally experience them performing my all time favorite song.

Pat wrote this about his mother when she passed away. While very metaphorical and most of the lyrics will pass over many heads, it is a beautiful song that gives hope. This was the song that made Train what they are today.

Hey, Soul Sister and Drive By are great, but for me they will never compare to the beauty of this song.

A million times better than Hey Soul Sister. That song is just bubble gum pop for the masses. Drops of Jupiter is a real song with very meaningful lyrics. The piano, guitar, bass, and vocals are woven together seamlessly. The song is still catchy, but it has so much meaning that it never gets old.

The defining song of train, this was the song that made them famous. When most people think of train's early days this was THE song that they would think of. Sure Soul sister is a great song, its just that this one I feel had better lyrics and a larger impact on the world.

This is definitely Trains best song. It is beautiful and the lyrics are amazing. I've know this song for as long as I can remember and it is definitely one of my all time favorites! I love Train's new songs too but drops of jupiter will always be #1. BEST SONG EVER.

By far the greatest Train song in my opinion. Also, I just love the facht that it's a song about his mum and that he's singing about her not being gone completely, because she's still somewhere here in this universe just like everybody else. It's a beautiful message and while listening to this song I both have tears in my eyes but a smile in my face. It's incredible.

This is awesome and it has do much meaning to it I couldn't. Get it out of my head for a month and this amazing song in a master piece and I am begging for it to be a top 1 please take my opinion into consideration trust me it really deserves it

Train has never topped what they did with drops of Jupiter. They've moved too far to pop kind of music. Before songs like drive by it was all about the music and feeling, something I miss from train and this song is a good example of it

This is the song that defines Train as a band. While "Hey Soul Sister" and "Drive By" are both some of the best songs of the past few years, Drops of Jupiter might be the best song to come out since 2000. It's a true marvel of the music industry.

This is classic Train, "Hey Soul Sister" is a good song but it doesn't sound as meaningful and heartfelt as "Drops of Jupiter. " In this case the song that made them the one that remade them.

Wonderful, beautiful lyrics! Not the typical cookie cutter kind, There is a deeper meaning and everyone can interpret Drops of Jupiter a different way. There's so much soul in it. A very special song.

It's an incredibly poetic song, one that creates feelings that I can't quite describe with words. In any way, it's beautiful, heartfelt, and one of Train's best songs ever.

The best song that Train has ever made. There are many close songs, but this has got to be the best. It has actuall music in it instead of the pop crap that is currently popular. Unfortunately, Train has recently become a pop band instead of rock. Call me crazy for being 13 and enjoying rock from the sixties, seventies and eighties, but this is the kind of music listen to. I am well aware that this was published in 2001, but, as I said earlier, this song uses real instuments in it and real talent.

This song is so heartfelt and touching, specially since Pat wrote it for his mother. when I hear it, I get taken to a different spiritual level- truly wonderful lyrics and melody

Hey Soul Sister is great and should be in the top 5... But I do not understand how it is #1? This song should be #1, it really is what made Train who they are. This song is by far the best.

I love this song so much! "and tell me, did Venus blow your mind? Was it everything you wanted to find and then you missed me while you were looking' for yourself" :')

This song resonates with every guy that's heard that common refrain from his true love who announces that she needs to take a break to find herself.

Hey Soul Sister or any of the other songs might not even have been here without Drops of Jupiter. It's such and amazing song with amazing lyrics.

This is one of te most pure rock songs ever and it is just amazing example of song writing this song is by far best its just pure poetry

Second only to Hey Soul Sister! I love this song. Come on people! Vote for Drops of Jupiter! It should be higher than Drive By at least!

One of the greatest songs of all time! Hey, Soul Sister is great too but nothing compares to their greatest hit. It's just fantastic.

Seriously? Drive By at 2? This one deserves that spot, following Save Me San Francisco, please vote for this and help it get there...

This song has so much lyrical beauty... it always takes me out of this world and to somewhere new. It beats Soul Sister to me, sorry.

One of the best songs I've ever listened to. I've loved this song for so many years and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon.
