Ranked! Wrestlemanias

Hello everybody, Wrestlemania 36 will take center stage in a performance center for the first time ever. We have had an interesting history of this big ''pro wrestling'' event. It's one of the two main big attractions nowadays. How fitting to go through a 3 and a half decade span of grand stages of pretty much staying up for this specially. Well as somebody who mainly watched the main shows instead of watching that constantly. I'm gonna rank them all 35 from biggest dumpster fire to well done. ‘’Oh! Oh! Wrestlemania, fighting to survive. pump it up, pump it up!’’

Wrestlemania I - Despite being the first of its kind, far from the best. In fact most of the matches were just very forgettable. With a lot of count out ot DQ finishes don’t help it either. Squash matches, there were two matches that had been the main attraction Andre body slams John Studd predictably. A reasonable main event being hyped up by the team of Mr. T and Hulk Hogan taking on the ‘’heels’’ of Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Now what makes this match unique for a tag team match is that you have two special guest refs, along with two managers. Overall a show you could watch once, but can’t say you’ll like the entire whole of it.

Wrestlemania II - This show was very different, where it would cut to three different venues of New York, Chicago and, L.A. The New York matches were probably the worst of the three. Started off with a countout, Savage squashes George Steele. Jake Roberts does the same, and we have a rematch grudge between Piper and Mr. T again. Where Piper loses again via DQ yeah lame finish. Next we have the Chicago matches. The main attraction to this one was Ozzy and the NFL players in a battle royal match. I’ll admit the best one here is the battle royal itself. This is a defining example of why Andre the Giant was the king of battle royals. Most notable of those players is ‘‘The Fridge’’ in the match was pretty cool to see. They would follow with a tag match. Which was alright, but still not the finish you would hope for. Finally its onto L.A, we see 3 duds of matches, and onto the real big match everybody came for being Bundy and Hogan. The build to this was good, but the match itself was not quite that. Looking at the show now it tried experimenting something that just ultimately failed big time. Thus regarded as one of the worst Wrestlemanias in history.

Wrestlemania III - Okay now this is the show that defined what Wrestlemania is supposed to be. It had a catchy slogan. A share of good and bad matches. A nice venue in the Pontiac Silverdome (sadly no longer exists). What makes this show unique is that for most of the matches were done with lights on, but when it came to the main matches the lights turned down except for in the ring which made those matches much more memorable. I would even go so far as to say that the Macho Man vs Steamboat match was better than the actual main event being Hogan Andre obviously. In terms of great technical battle that was it. For battle for a mid card belt it doesn’t get any better than that. Andre Vs Hogan is infamous for Hogan being the first to bodyslam Andre where the crowd went crazy as Hogan won in unreal fashion. For what this show accomplished this felt like the first definitively good Wrestlemania that set the standard for other shows to come.

Wrestlemania IV - Okay this show was basically King of the Ring styled scenery. A tournament filled with championship advancements. Along with some other matches in the mix like the I.C. title, or the battle royal, tag titles match were okay for what they were. While not exactly a show I would recommend at least the right guy won on this night. Macho man to this point was built like a mega star, and that the show built up Ted Dibiase as a major heel to come. It does some things right, but a lot of not so good as a whole feeling kinda forgettable more than anything else.

Wrestlemania V - The show was very meh I gotta say. Not bad by any means, but the way it was being built on paper seems unusual I gotta say. Big John Studd won the Royal Rumble instead of getting a title shot. He instead special guests a match between Jake Roberts Vs Andre match. Although the idea to have the mega power breakup in this match fits well seeing they would feud with one another that entire year. You had a good showing from the tag matches, but everything else feels entirely forgettable.

Wrestlemania VI - I love the arena look for this show in Canada the first of its time. I gotta say a pretty well rounded show of undercard matches as well. Hogan Vs Warrior great main event match. The only time the Warrior finally got the title after being in the mid-card for the most part. Very good show overall. I have no problems with what this one was trying to achieve.

Wrestlemania VII - I would call this the very americana Wrestlemania. I say for its main event more less. Still though that was a very good match. I’d argue the retirement match of the Warrior and Macho Man was the best. This show had some solid tag matches. I say its a show worth a look.

Wrestlemania VIII - Another good show, Wrestlemania started building up some pretty well done quality shows. Coming off a great royal rumble that year where Ric Flair won. I gotta say Wrestlemania 8 as a whole is very underrated. A very good set of matches found here. Yeah there’s the awful Hogan Vs Sid match, but get past the awful main event the undercard fantastic.

Wrestlemania IX - Now we have come to the infamous Wrestlemania 9 that takes place in Caesars palace. I’ll give it this, I like the different choice of venue outside. Everything else on this show was awful. Your best matches were the tag matches, and I guess the open card although it was a countout finish. Undertaker vs Giant Gonzalez could have been an interesting match, but instead its the only streak match where Taker won via DQ. Making it the worst wrestlemania match for him. A historic main event turned into the worst all time wrestlemania finish ever. Where a face Hogan in sheer seconds takes the title away from Yoko despite the heel moves made to beat Bret in return to lose in seconds. Just a…. What a terrible show. Some of the worst booking you’ll ever see.

Wrestlemania X - Wow! This show was definitely something, and Bret Hart was the MVP of this show. Wrestling two matches for 30 minutes. Between a great match against Owen, and eventually in the main event wins back the title he lost is a fitting way to end the show. Also the first ever ladder match was also in this show, and man was it innovative for a mid-card title.

Wrestlemania XI - After a little uprising from 10. We go back to downright awful again. Many say 9 is the worst show ever. Try topping what Wrestlemania 11 was capable of. Name a good quality match? There isn’t one, they tried to find every celebrity there was. I love how in the intro its comparing itself to the previous shows. Failing flat overall of a bizarre choice of a main event between L.T Vs Bam Bam. Oh and who could forget the weird finish to Bret Vs Backlund I Quit match. Even Jerry Lawler was all confused by that outcome. Simply the worst Wrestlemania ever, and one of the worst PPVs of all time.

Wrestlemania XII - As a whole, Wrestlemania 12 serves as another very underrated show that was well done. As a transitional way into the attitude era, what a way to slowly move into that. One of the best opening matches in history The first ever Iron Man match being very infamous to the longtime rivalry of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. There is plenty of win to be found here.

Wrestlemania XIII - Wrestlemania 13, is ironically what the number indicates a bad show. A lot of underwhelming matches nobody recalls other than the main two matches. Stone Cold won the rumble, but instead ended up facing Bret Hart one last time in an epic match of submission in which he never tapped out and just passed out. The main event was not nearly as good however with one of the weaker streak matches for the Undertaker to win the title. This is a show I would skip over except for the Austin Vs Hart match I highly recommend that at least.

Wrestlemania XIV - Now this to me is the heart of the attitude era. A great show, and excellent build up. I’d there two matches that were weak, but otherwise a show you should watch. Especially if you wanted to visit what the Austin era of wrestling was like. Kane in his prime in the first match against Undertaker was awesome. Dumpster match was unique. A lot of great stuff can be found quite enjoyable.

Wrestlemania XV - That year in wrestling drew a ton of ratings, but in terms of wrestling was nearly as good as the previous year. It goes to show with the Royal Rumble despite having one good match. Was more or less the same feeling. Bart Gunn jobbed to Butterbean can’t help but get a cheap laugh out of that. Take Vs Boss man was the worst cell match to this day. Austin Vs Rock Part I was good, but remains as the weakest of the three matches they had on the grandest stage. Ths was the PPV Triple H became heel and sided with Shane from there on out becoming one of the biggest heels in the company for quite a long time. It does that well, but that’s about the only postvie I have for this show as everything else was either quickly rushed matches, or were forgettable. Major step down from the previous sow.

Wrestlemania XVI - By this time the rosters were much different from the last few years. AT this time the roster for the then WWF looked really good with some powerhouse names on this show that were from WCW. Eventually changed companies. You had many dud matches largely forgettable. A major cluster hardcore time limit match. A catfight, because that was in that era. Yawn like tag team matches bumped later down the card. One of the worst main events ever that should have just been Rock and Triple H. Instead added Big Show and Mick Foley to make sure Triple H needed something extra to screw The Rock over. A lot of bad in this show even with the hype. Although I did enjoy the triple Threat match for two titles, and the triangle ladder match would go on to pave the way for the TLC creation later that year. Still though not enough to really say of it being anywhere near good.

Wrestlemania XVII - 2001 year for the company was a very good year in terms of quality of PPVS and this one has been cited as one of the greatest shows they have ever put on. I gotta admit this show is always fun to revisit from beginning to end. Hardcore match was pretty increible. Good technical wrestling by Wah, and Angle. TLC II was unreal, The first Taker Triple H to me is still their best one. The McMahon Street Fight was over the top, and done brilliantly setting up their long feud of the invasion after this. Rock Vs Austin was interesting considering both at the time were baby faces, the big mystery was which of these two would turn. Well the major swerve was that it was Austin and McMahon on the same page. Something nobody would ever envision. Great show deserves its praise and must be watched by any diehard fan alike.

Wrestlemania XVIII - Second time Wrestlemania goes back to Canada, and not nearly as the show that was from 6. 18 was a fairly average Wrestlemania. I’d say, there’s some good things I did like the way the took the hardcore title after every few seconds cutting away to it. Steve Austin giving the greatest stunner to Scott Hall. Of course who could forget the epic match between two legends Hulk and The Rock. Some of the best build up to any match ever. The NWO was back, and wreaking havoc unleashing their poison. The way the crowd goes from booing to cheering for the Rock was some of the best crowd reactions done perfectly. Jericho even said as undisputed champion. No way could his match with Triple H follow that up. Speaking of that match had some really dumb build up story, and of course Triple H won the title back, and went on to his infamous reign of terror on raw there after. I don’t hate the show, but i’m not saying it's that great either.

Wrestlemania XIX - In terms of pure wrestling, Wrestlemania 19 was great for the matches itself. The show does start off slow with some forgettable matches, but really picks it up by the 3rd match the quality gets better. One of the better diva matches in the triple threat match in which Trish won the title again. The tag match was pretty decent, Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho amazing match. Memorable bitter end to the match.

Triple H Vs Booker T was done terribly, bad storyline followed up bad a massive burial in which Booker T could recover for a while since this one brief push he was given thanks to The Rock. The final three matches were all awesome, The McMahon Hogan match was so good, and yet so believable of the storyline built up to this being Vince’s better matches he put up. Roddy Piper made a stunning return helping Vince, but to no avail. Wow, and it gets better. The final Rock Vs Austin match was really good. No outside interference, just pure action. The Rock was really aggressive in this match attacking the legs of the rattlesnake. Massive counters, and finishers used in this were unreal. This was the match Rock wanted to beat Austin on the grandest stage he sure did it.

Finally we have the main event Lesnar Vs Angle was truly an epic finale to the night. Now this match was just my favorite of the night. While HBK Vs Y2J was phenomenal. What these two guys did in the main event can never be outdone now. Lot of countering maneuvers, a nasty boutched taken by both men when Lesnar went on the top rope for a shooting star press. Kurt Angle wrestled with a neck, and hamstring injury. What a fighter. Taken a 3rd F5 to end the match as both gave great respect for one another. Thus the right way to close out the show, and while it is flawed has been given a lot of love by diehard fans. Despite the low PPV buys it was one of the best PPVs I’ve ever seen in terms of all the big matches many wanted to see were done well. Minus Booker T Vs Triple H.

Wrestlemania XX - The follow up Wrestlemania 20 was just as good nearly. Starting off with Cena beating Big Show one of the only times he was fairly tolerable as a mid carder face of smackdown. Tag matches were decent, the two duds were the diva tag match, and obviously one of the worst matches of all time in Brock Lesnar Vs Goldberg. Crowd gave a huge thumbs down thanks to knowing these two were at the time wrestling their last matches. Thankfully Steve Austin stuns both of them for the awful performance they put up.

Let’s cut back to the good of this show. Christian Vs Chris Jericho was a very good storyline of two best buddies now turned against one another. This established Trish and Christian as major heels at the time. Oh yeah the memorable heel turn as Jericho loses good stuff. Evolution Vs The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection was a fascinating handicap match I’d say. The build around this match led to the Royal Rumble with Mick Foley taking the test spot just to get his hands on Randy Orton who had quite the 2004 year. Putting over the faction the right move, good effort by both teams. The Cruiserweight open was a very unique matchup, after every two wrestlers is pinned, and the other wins another wrestler hits the fray. I would of preferred Rey winning, but yeah let’s get the major heel over who turned on Eddie okay then. Victoria Vs Molly Holly was another unique matchup. Molly lost, and we got the infamous hair shaving clips of doom. Kinda comedic, but not a bad short match that it was. Taker Vs Kane part II had great build up but was vastly disappointing as a matchup perspective compared the first encounter.

Eddie Vs Kurt ended up being a pretty well done match in which Eddie got a major assist thanks to Goldberg when he won the title at No way Out. This is a vintage Eddie Guerrero finish I must say. Finally we got one of the greatest triple threat matches in history. Sadly this won’t be replayed by the network knowing the history of the one they call Krispen Wah. The major push he was given winning the rumble at #1 is all erased. A phenomenal match that is now tainted to that incident overall.

Wrestlemania XXI - Going Hollywood, but also showcasing a new era being established. Another great match between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. The first ever Money in the bank match was an innovative transition of an alternative way a superstar could win a major title. Edge being the first winner has great hold up to this day. One of the better streak matches versus Randy Orton giving it all he had, but came short. A pair of duds in the Diva’s title match and a sumo match. The two title matches at least got the right guy over, but were not that good match quality wise. The later Triple H Vs Batista match at Vengeance was much better than this. For being the match that pushed John Cena as a main eventer this would soon be the slow turn of what would become the annoying baby face for the next 9 years. To me you get the best match on this card. Shawn Michaels Vs Kurt Angle was one of the best technical showings ever. Giving this all the time needed. This just shows you Kurt Angle can wrestle anybody and put on a good show, and Shawn Michaels giving it his all in out performing like he would normally do. Excellent build up turned into a great outcome. A very good show that could have had better title quality matches if I had to nitpick.

Wrestlemania XXII - Soso start, but picks right back up with the 2nd Money in the Bank match. RVD wins that’s awesome, but ends up losing that push due to his demons getting the best of him. JBL Vs Wah was a very lame match where the heel meh. Something that is definitely not meh is Mick Foley Vs Edge in a Hardcore match. Good spots especially the flaming table finish what a fitting way to end that blood boiling excitement. Booker T vs Boogeyman was a comedy bit that’s all that was. Taker vanquished the world’s strongest man in a Casket match. Shawn Michaels Vs Vince was good for what it was, but the payout the feud the next month was really stupid. Rey winning the title was overwhelmingly predictable for that time when Eddie had passed away and they exploited that death into the storyline. A forgettable pillow fight for a few minutes, and our main event is John Cena beating Triple H. Nobody took Cena legitimate until this match. Triple H eventually turned face, and John Cena’s long reign of terror on the raw roster was over welcomed. I went back and forth how I felt about this show, and there’s some good and bad in the mix.

Wrestlemania XXIII - The 2nd time Wrestlemania is in Detroit. Only now in Ford Field for the first time. Well at least it started off great with the 3rd Money in the bank match, and at the time Mr. Kennedy was the right move, but its a shame he lost that shot to Edge later in the year. Khali squashes Kane here, Wah beats MVP in a forgettable mid card match. This would be his final Wrestlemania match before well ‘’that double murder incident.’’ Taker Vs Batista was placed way too early in the card. Very good match from both of them here. Forgettable ECW thrown in matchup. The major star power matchup with the 45th president and Vince agree to a hair vs hair match between two wrestlers of their choosing. This was the major buy rating for this event alone, and honestly it was pretty entertaining for what it was. I like Celebrity Trump, I'm not a fan of POTUS Trump to put it in two different character personas. Anyways he wins over Vince getting the last laugh with Steve Austin doing the honors. We get a shortly done lumberjill match, and finally our main Event John Cena once again only takes on Shawn Michaels. While this match is good, the night after Raw overshadowed this match leaps and bounds. I mean you got the main matches the audience cared most about, and you had your soso matches in the mix as well. Still it was good enough for what it tried to do.

Wrestlemania XXIV - Go From Motown to Florida, not unlike Wrestlemania 9 with the whole decor setup. This one was much cooler being an outside event. A decent starting match of the Belfast brawl. Followed by as always a great Money in the Bank match in which CM Punk avenged his loss the previous year. We had a brand war matchup between two massive heavyweights in Batista and Umaga. Once again Umaga loses again on the biggest stage. Kane squashes Chavo in record time. He won the opportunity in a dark match battle royal. Shawn Michaels Vs Ric Flair was fantastic. One of the greatest final matches for any wrestler. How fitting it is the showstopper to be the one to do it. You had a snoozer lumberjill match that followed that. A very disappointing triple threat match between Orton, Cena, and Triple H. I did enjoy the Floyd Mayweather V. Big Show fight was entertaining seeing a David Goliath type battle with no DQ stipulation put in place. You had the strong finish between Edge and Undertaker. These guys put on a very good main event match. Undertaker winning was the right move, and a fitting way to end an incredible Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XXV - Oh man the 25th anniversary of the biggest show in wrestling history. A major mixed bag for me in terms of the things I like about it, and what I didn’t like as much. CM Punk going for his 2nd win was one of those I liked. This later established him as a major heel for the next two years before going into his major face run. You had a nice idea of an all diva battle royal. Only to have it wn with a man in drag two thumbs down for execution. Jericho pretty much beats up all three 80’s legends. Steamboat being the only one giving Jericho a decent fight towards the end. The Hardy Vs Hardy match was good, but their follow up match was better. Rey Mysterio beats JBL in record timing forcing him to retire in-ring. Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest matches you will ever see. Unbelievable spots done, and of course there would be a sequel to this. Next two title matches were not nearly as good. The finish to the show was pretty weak I gotta say. John Cena wins back the belt beating Edge and Big Show. Triple H Vs Randy Orton had a great build up, but the turnout was pretty boring and a major disappointment. You didn’t have the mcMahons, or Legacy come out to make the match a lot more interesting. Instead it was a 1 on 1 match you knew Triple H was gonna win and not give Orton the belt. Yeah its Okay, but not good nor bad either.

Wrestlemania XXVI - Wrestlemania 26 was much better than 25 for sure. Although it didn’t start off right away with that promise with a squash tag match. I do find it ironic that Randy Orton is facing the two former legacy members here which was used in an actual video game storyline props for that being actually real to come. We do get a good Money in the bank match, but the winner comes out pretty disappointing that Jack Swagger is the one to win and get a major push only to go back into the mid card by the end of the year. Triple H Vs Sheamus had some good build up, and the match itself was fairly enjoyable. Rey Mysterio beats the Straight Edge Society pretty much, and at this point the group went more and more downhill. Bret Hart Vs Vince some of the promos build ever, but the turn out like some other matches so bad. Bret pretty much is enjoying this moment.

I can’t blame him, but a heh. Chris Jericho Vs Edge was a good match with a surprising outcome where Jericho manages to retain. I say this due to the fact the previous PPV he was awarded the belt thanks to Shawn Michaels. Eventually both superstars found their way to raw after the brief few rivalry they had going. Diva tag match was what it was, they would have another match on raw where the opposite team won so fair is fair I guess? Oh yeah that Batista heel run was pretty sad I gotta say. He just kept losing to cena left and right only to quit for quite a bit. Can’t say I blame yeah. Being Drax the Destroyer was the better move after all. We get the sequel match to the epic previous match. Shawn wanted one more shot, and this time his career was on the line. While this is still a great match it was not nearly as well done. Still though the two embrace, and that was the end for Shawn Michaels. For most part taking some of the decisions made is still a show I can enjoy time and time again.

Wrestlemania XXVII - Ugh… Wrestlemania 27 to me is one of the most frustrating shows to look back on where this could have been so much better. Like for instance the first match isn’t so bad its more like they could have done a little bit more with what was given. Del Rio ended up being a major heel that year, and maybe you could have had Brodus and Christian fight outside or something to those lines. Cody Rhodes Vs Rey Mysterio was one of the few matches I actually liked for the most part how that was done. Cody literally owned Rey here, and to use his mask against him is an even more fitting way to end the match. The Corre get jobbed to a randomly put together team of 4. Randy Orton Vs Cm Punk was okay for what it was built up as. After this though CM Punk would rebound in the biggest way ever. Oh lord kill me, Jerry Lawler Vs Michael Cole is a must skip match. A waste of time, the worst rivalry ever. Terrible match after another. They gave this way too much time for a joke of a match. A good streak match for what it was one of few matches are like on this PPV. A Mixed tag match that was famous for a backstage altercation that later fired Melina because of what John Morrison was doing. Otherwise that team picked up the win in what was a forgettable match that featured Snnoki ehh. By this point the show sucked, and by the time we had our cringeworthy main event I was already not feeling for either guy here. I didn’t care for Miz, or John Cena at the time. By the end of it, the Miz won, but thanks to a huge assist by the Rock it didn’t matter he overshadowed his win. Miz would never recovered to his killer heel status as he would later lose the title to Cena a few months later, and ended up going back to being a mid-carder which honestly is where he belongs. Pretty much the whole show didn’t focus on itself as a whole, but felt like a major advertisement for the next show to follow this.

Wrestlemania XXVIII - Here we go Wrestlemania 28, it has been building for literally 365 days since the last show which was god awful. First match once agains was the world heavyweight championship. Bad pattern once again. Only this time it ends in 18 seconds. The next match Daniel Bryan and Sheamus would have was far better. Kane Vs Orton was just a mostly randomly put match where Kane ended up winning it was more of a surprise in a way. More super heavyweights get put over as Big Show just would not be denied to Cody Rhodes. A diva tag match that was decent I gotta say. Taker Vs Triple one last time, with Shawn Michaels as referee for what it was, it was great, but in terms of a cell match comes as one of the weaker ones hardly even using the cell. A brand matchup that had great twists and turns where team Raw prevailed. CM Punk Vs Chris Jericho was done very well. This was one of many great matches they would have in the short feud they had. Finally the main event. What was title once in a lifetime was that type of matchup. Both guys giving it all they got, great ending of Cena getting too overconfident only to lose in the end. Perfect way to end the show with the hometown rocky go over.

Wrestlemania XXIX - You want a really flat filtered event. Wrestlemania 29 is one I both deeply and hate, and is very hard to watch again and again. The first match though doesn’t bother me too much with the Shield beating Show, Sheamus, and Orton. Mark Henry Vs Ryback was forgettable, a really short tag match Daniel Bryan and Kane retained. Fandango vs Chris Jericho was a pointless push where Fandango went where exactly? A joke of a match put in that could've just been a debut raw match instead. Del Rio retained over Swagger, really weird seeing Del Rio as a brief face here. Now you have your big three matches to go, the streak match was good. CM Punk last match on the grandest stage with the company. At this point he was a heel later on that year Paul Heyman was managing him. Still a good match for what it was, and the only time we see Punk in pink attire. To this point I never mentioned crowds, but this New York crowd was so not interested or loudly pumped that it was shown in the Triple H Vs Brock Lesnar match. Absolutely quiet all you hear is Triple H loud breathing, and him saying ‘’Brock!’’ Totally awkward to say the least. Finally we have the rematch to their epic battle from Wrestlemania 28. Only this one was worse, right from the getco it was a finishes fest the entire way through. Predictably John Cena wins, and the next night on raw he gets booed which is fitting for how terrible this show was.

Wrestlemania XXX - 30 years and counting, and this card got me pumped unlike the previous one. The crowd felt energized like the other 28 shows. Starting off with Daniel Bryan Triple H well now this is exciting. Both guys are literally putting it all out there, and thanks to a quick inside cradle Daniel Bryan is moving onto the main event. The Shield dispose of the authority quickly, Cesaro wins the first ever Andre the giant battle royal rumble. This is the only time it was taken very seriously. Cena Vs Bray Wyatt was a good match, but the wrong guy won here. It would take quite a number of years for Bray to recover from this number of losses he took here killing his momentum.

Now unlike cena Vs Bray, not everyone will agree with what I have to say about this next match. Personally I am very okay with Brock lesnar ending the streak. The way they were building may not have convinced people, but to me if you go back to his prime years he pretty much beat the Undertaker with more wins than losses. Even in my old video at the time I even said it would be 21-1. What I love most about this is not the match itself, it was not the best streak match. The shock value was so good, the audience member in the crowd is a great meme himself in that memory of any other streak that’s over.

The diva invitational was what it was a little time to breathe after the shocker of the night. Finally the main event, and honestly it was literally Daniel Bryan Vs everybody in this match. Triple H getting his nose in it again. He is taken out early, then it's back to a triple threat match. Yet felt like a 1 on 2 match. How fitting that the ending to this match is an almost identical reenactment to Wrestlemania 20. Submission finish and Batista tapped out, and the yes movement ultimately won in a great Wrestlemania turn out.

Wrestlemania XXXI - By this point Daniel Bryan is once again a master of being in the first matches of Wrestelmania ain’t that fascinating? Well after being clear again for whatever reason he is competing for the I.C. title when the last PPV he became a major star. Well here’s what really happened he got too hurt to the point he was out of action, and the yes movement died instantly. Bryan wins the title here in a very good start to the show. Randy Orton Vs Seth Rollins had a real good spot at the end where Orton won. Triple H Vs Sting so should of been Sting Vs Undertaker, but I digress. I say this because while the match itself had some moments like having the NWO and DX at the end of the match. I hate the finish where Triple H is put over instead. It’s an indication that the WWE beat WCW pretty much. This was Sting’s disappointing run with the company. Two major matches he ends up losing 0-2, and in the hall of fame.

Diva tag match in which was A.J. Lee’s final match before leaving the company days later. John Cena buried Rusev here, and from here on out was treated like a joke. Taker beats Bray Wyatt fairly well, but this came after taking the awkward first loss for the first time. I would have preferred if he retired at Wrestlemania 30 honestly. Main event featured the most hated baby face of all time Roman Reigns going up against Brock Lesnar who at the time nobody was beating, and or was barely showing up at reoccurring minor PPV’s. Brock was dominating Reigns most of the match until Reigns started getting some momentum going until Seth Rollins came on the screen. Taking down both men with the briefcase pinning Reigns, and we get a surprisingly good finish.

Wrestlemania XXXII - Oh god, Wrestlemania 32 had some weird, and yet hated decisions made overall. Zack Ryder won the ladder match? Miz winning the belt for whatever reason was a little bit more satisfying just because Maryse returned. More weird bookings as AJ Styles falls in his first Wrestlemania match to Chris Jericho. League of Nations beat the New Day, which would have been an incredible win if they didn’t get treated like a joke to a hall of famer stunning all of them. Brock Lesnar predictably owned Dean Ambrose all the way through giving him very little offense. The diva triple threat match was one of the only good things I actually liked about this show. To this point the diva matches were treated so inferior this changed a lot of it. These three put it all out there, and of course Charlotte ended up winning it. Undertaker Vs Shane to me was… good for the bumps but that’s it. Shane has gotten better with his wrestling abilities, but the whole stimulation for this match makes it all pointless knowing he ends up getting the GM job on Smackdown. Corbin wins the battle royal, and goes on to have a push with the company as a major heel. Rock does a six second match for the heck of it. Finally we have the main event nobody cared about what so ever. You know when the crowd is cheering for the heel that’s a bad sign. It went on for a grueling almost 30 minutes of total rejection. There’s been some bad main event matches, but this one has to be undoubtedly the worst. When the crowd was that detested for that long marks the overall bad show Wrestlemania 32 stands up as.

Wrestlemania XXXIII - Wrestlemania 33 is one of the shows that’s very hard to say where it should be. Giving it some time I look at the show like. While there were some matches that could have been better. They packed in some nice things looking back. Very good opening match between Styles and Shane, followed by a good follow up of Kevin Owens Vs Chris Jericho. I’ll admit this divs match was a step down from the previous year. Then you have what I think is the highlight of this show that came in the middle portion of the night. It was supposed to be three teams, but a mysterious 4th team was added in, and it's the Hardy Boyz. One of the biggest shockers, and even more so they even went out and won the match. I would to say later down in the show was nearly as good as I thought, and this goes to show. Following this would be A mix tag match where team Cena beat Team Miz pretty much. Cena proposes, and who cares next.

Seth Rollins Vs Triple H is very good, but feels so awkward seeing Rollins use the Pedigree for a brief time due to his original finisher the curb stomp can pretty much cause concussions. It's better to see him with the finisher be brought back where here it feels bizarre. Randy Orton makes Bray Wyatt go 0-3 on the grandest stage. Lesnar finally defeats Goldberg for the first time in his career (worst set of matches in history). Naomi retained the Women’s title, and Roman Reigns gave Undertaker his second loss (Boo!). The 2nd half was so overwhelmingly bad, but the beginning was so good it almost puts the show more towards the middle if it wasn’t for that one stunner nobody saw coming.

Wrestlemania XXXIV - Wrestlemania 34 went back to the routes of how awful 32 was. Well maybe not with the first match where Rollins won the I.C. belt in a good triple threat match. Charlotte Flair predictable ends Asuka’s winning ways, Jinder mahal weirdly won the United States title of all the wrestlers in the match. Harper and Rowan win the tag title, one of the last times the two would tag for a brief time on Smackdown. Undertaker puts an end to John Cena rather quickly, a hilarious dud. The two tag matches that ended in submission were actually not too bad for how they were. Nia Jax wins the diva’s title (okay), AJ Styles retained in one of the most disappointing matches of all time against nakamura who won the royal rumble match at #14 mind you. They went on to have bad matches after another and he gets more and more down the mid-card after this. Braun and a kid win the tag titles for a day, and the main event once again has Roman Reigns in it, and Brock Lesnar. This one was actually shocking, Lesnar actually retained and didn’t drop the belt to Reigns… well then. It had some creatively bad booking choices, but was still overwhelmingly horrible.

Wrestlemania XXXV - Still early to tell how much it really holds up seeing it was the latest one. Rollins quickly as the bell rings beating Lesnar was the right call. Otherwise he would have been in for a long match where he would have lost knowing how much Lesnar can endure those types of matches. Styles, and Orton had a solid match, Usos retained, the Shane Vs Miz matches were actually well done in building up the hatred for the two and as a formed team. Still a good match that displays just that. The IIconics winning the tag titles the right call. I'm glad they went that route. Kofi Kingston Vs Daniel Bryan should have been the main event clearly, the way this was built, and actually giving Kofi and push and him winning was both a surprise, and awesome to see a guy who has always been in the mid-card for so long get his brief big moment that was special, and that is the one that will stand the test of time. Joe immediately beats Rey, Reigns beats Drew (Boo!), and Triple H is still wrestling for this long good god. Not even Batista could end him. Kurt Angle’s final match ends in disappointment, as he falls to Corbin. Finn Balor takes away the I.C. belt away from Bobby Lashley, and we get our first ever female main event. In which the right person got over in Becky Lynch. Still a good show to watch even after a rewatch.

Well there it is folks all the Wrestlemania ranked from all different timelines. This year is going to be extremely different. One of those surreal feelings done in a studio with no audience. Curious how this goes. For now see you next time.
