Best X JAPAN Songs
The Top Ten
I just love this song from beginning to end. A lot of people have their personal interpretation about the song's message; some say it is about the dark side of life. But for me, I think it is a story of a brokenhearted artist at the brink of suicide but chose to live instead and ended up painting a beautiful red rose. But that's just me
Because its just flat out amazing. The Symphony is awesome. Drums are awesome. Well Composed. The best part though, is that it literally represents the ups and downs of life! Just listen to it and you'll understand!
the best song in the world, the riff is good, drums are awesome, piano is also good, meaningful lyrics, voice is also good.
One of the few masterpiece out there, and you will not get tired from listening to this. The title explains it, the Art of Life. A very meaningful, emotional, inspirational song, it resonates with each person, as we move forward in our lives. Just think for a while, what is Life? Maybe this song can give you an answer.
While the other songs are brilliant as well, I have to admit that at some point I'd get bored and switch to something else.
But Endless Rain is different. I never get tired of listening to this song. The opening, the ending, the melody, the drum beat, the guitar solo, they're all perfect (for me at least =P).
It's a must included song whenever I created a playlist of mixed artists.
This is one of X japan's most emotional song. In the last live you feel the emotion from people sing along, and the emotion of the band. It's incredible. And the lyrics are beautiful...
I love this song a lot... I can feel this song from my depest heart, you can feel how painful love is... You must hear this song if your heart is broken, It's so incredible! Can make you calm, and feel refreshed.
I'm not a fan of Japanese songs or listening to it.. But once I've heard this song... Wow! I really loved it... And I can say I can related to this once.. For me it's a heart capturing.. Because it made me feel calm and relaxed
So deep, an awesome song that has an awesome guitar and drum solo. The lyrics are magnificent and the power in which Toshi-kun sings them is magnificent as well. The intro is also one of the strong points of Kurenai.
Art of life is a good song but not everyone can listen to a 30 minute symphony. Kurenai is a way more emotional and hardcore song and is a must listen to song. It starts of nice and slow and gets better and better.
The choice was really hard, because this band have just so many great songs. I choose Kurenai because it have different parts and it will surprise listener, at least when she/he heard it first time. This also reminds me hide's smile. (last live). Kurenai is one of the greatest masterpiece in Jrock and also in music's history!
Kurenai is the best song that I've ever listened. The percussions was really good such as guitars and drum. All Japanese people should vote for this song. Make it at the first best song in Japan.
the riff and solo just kick ass
Yoshiki's drum solo was ssimply just amazing. This song is better than kurenai.. And I love hide's solo too. Their last live version was even better..
This song has always been my favorite. The song is just very deep and I could feel what he is singing about. And how come this isn't part of the Top 3! Or top 5 the least. But again, I could listen to this everyday for a lot of times. The lyrics look simple but it has got a lot of messages to the listener. I love you X-Japan!
this song makes feel like being in dream place, makes so many feelings and emotional like guns n roses IT'S ALRIGHT
What this song is doing here? This song should be in the rank 5 or above! It's so... Touching. I just downloaded it. And... I'm so impressed
It was so moving, it really stuck a cord in me. Great song to listen when you need to smile through your tears. Yoshiki's piano is sp amazing.
I always take this song in a karaoke! I could cry singing this!
Yoshiki's piano is outstanding along with his drumming! All perfect! Hide's solo along with pata's is very touching combined with the bass line and most importantly toshi's powerful vocal! That's what makes this song so perfect!
Man one of the great songs of x Japan... This song was dedicated to his father who died in his arms.. T_T... You can feel the sadness and pain to.. But there's still happiness...
I was first introduced to X Japan through this song, the instrumental version. Can't believe it came from a heavy metal rock band. And blame Tears, because know I am hardcore to X Japan
You know, I like Art of life, Endless rain, Tears better.. but this song definitely deserves to be in the top 10, I'm surprised it's this low?
How couldn't this song rank on the top? Its melody is too beautiful, and it might be as good as Endless Rain too.
I swear this song was in the top ten last tie I saw it what?
One of my favorite ballad rocks with endless rain
Since the first time I heard this song I loved it. I was expecting a melodic piano song then boom! Explosive guitar. The solo is just amazing. Its melodic and aggressive. I think the best part is Toshi's singing. You can feel the sadness and emotion in his voice. "You dyed my heart in blood. No way to kill my sadness" Along side Forever Love, this will always be my favorite X song
Everything about this song is spectacular. It has to be heard to be believed. I love the heck out of this song, but it also makes me very sad because few people in the United States have ever heard it. If you're going to introduce anyone to X Japan, this is the perfect place to start.
The most underrated song of X Japan. From start to finish its just a crazy amount of energy and technicality. It's my favourite X song by far!
A heart touching song... the tune almost makes yo cry... the video is even better
Heart touching lyrics
I love the original version of this song but everyone should listen to the live acoustic version before casting their vote.
It adds a whole new dimension of passion and beauty to this song that rivals the more famous emotional ballads like endless rain and transforms it into one of the most spectacular moments in Japanese rock history
Simply a twelve-minute epic.
Must be 2 after Art of Life
What Is doing this song here? It should be top 5 at least! It's the little versión of Art of Life, great progressive song with epic riffs, bass lines and drums
Powerful, opening that carrys all the way through, beautiful lyrics, inspiring, this has to be one of their most iconic songs
This song describe the band characters, very powerful, memorable, progressive, and romantic. hands down to dahlia
Simply the icon of metal song at Japan music insdustry
Its their anthem.. Couldn't say much of it..
It's like with this song, they can call upon an army of X Freaks all around the world to sing along with them..
X is one of their best songs espicalliy when hide was around!
This song freaked me out.
IV in my vein
Best speed metal x Japan music.. very psycho music and gloomy mind
I've got ecstacy but I feel the tears rolling down
I like the melody a lot, especially when yoshiki playing the piano and hide doing the guitar. The lyrics are awesome too. Maybe the song moved me when it could be transformed into an orchestra performing version. I would recommend this since it's one of my favorite songs from x japan.
How come this song hasn't been mentioned yet?
The lyrics could be a bit stagnant. But this song has the most beautiful orchestral play, with beautiful piano tunes and beautiful melody as well.
This has to be one of the best song from the album Dahlia. Beautiful piano and orchestra.
"Sing without you, I'll sing without you, can you feel my pain? "
Good melody & best ever
First song I heard by them can't remember where I heard it from it was a while ago but still my favorite of all time by them. I just like how his voice sounds in this song its just a really good song. Its just a pure classic
The melody is a combination of hard and soft music, both piercing into my emotions deeply. Though I heard some negative comments about this song being The Saw IV main theme, I personally enjoy it anyways, be it the original version or the classical one. Yoshiki's piano is badass
The song that saved me after my girlfriend ditched me. :')
Love this song its a great way to remember hide
This song its just amazing! Full of energy! Its all what you need to wake up in the morning or just for uplift the mood.
The riff, theming and melodies are some of X Japan's best.
One of their greatest song... Deserves to be in the top ten! Very touching expressing grief and agony
A very touching and beautiful song that shows so many sadness and pain...
This just has to be in the top 10. please guys, this song deserves that!
A very beautiful song
It's the ultimate energy song feel-wise. It's in your face, balls to the walls riffs, fierce bass playing, and perhaps the greatest harmony in a rock song (not power/symphonic metal) with many instruments with lyrics you never though were about suicide/death on weekend
I think, Weekend is the best song for me cause this song is the best guitar solo than any other of X Japan songs which have guitar solo in that song. I wonder why this song is on top 30. This song could be on top 10 at least.
This song is really good. I wonder how this is not the top 4 or 6. If you listen to the last live version, you'll know how sweet the guitar solos and drums beats are. This song reminds me of my HIGH SCHOOL life..
The whole song is totally incredible. The chorus, anyway is the best for me, given the intro is too heavy. Overall, beautiful melody
Just the intro, it already gives me chill
It is a joke? Freak, this song is so many things togethe, really great!.. you guys got to listen this song
This song is X Japan transitioning to the 21 century.
Hey this song is amazing! How could this can be on 26th?
Should be top 5
I think this song is Amazing! I love it!
I was surprised because rank is 27!
Underrated.. I dunno why, this song complements a Dystopia backdrop.
Just heard this song for the first time and WOW... Damn this is good!
Almost a precursor to Art of Life, this song is a rollercoaster of emotions to listen to. Yoshikis piano perfectly complements the guitars in this power ballad for the ages. While the recording may not be up to par with the quality of their other releases, this song is still a triumph in the heavy metal genre, and in music in genrral. Deserves a listen to if you haven't already.
