Best Years of the 21st Century
2010 was a common year starting on Friday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2010th year based on Anno Domini/Common Era designations. It is the 10th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 1st year of the 2010s decade. This was the best year in the 21st century. I wasnt so old facing college issues. But I wasnt too young either to not know about exciting things in life like science, girls, etc... I was a teen and in high school. It was partying everywhere. And also the time when I began to know about the truth behind everything, physics, biology, nature, why we exist, etc. I read hawkings brief history of time for the first time. My close friends were all total nerdy and geeks and I was a high school genius and ubergeek.
Also this marks the beginning of time when the new technology called smart phones and whatsapp are getting very popular and my jump to 3g internet from 2g. Means access to a much faster bandwidth for all people. Apple released ipad. Ebooks getting very popular, amazon will release kindle fire 1 year after 2010.
So this marks the time when all developing countries get widely connected to the rest of the world through internet and facebook.. I also remember the old orkut. The peak of technology advancement. The tallest tower burj khalifa gets opened in 2010.
Not to forget the music released in 2010s. FIFA 2010 was the best FIFA. I istill remember the FIFA theme song Shakiras waka waka This time for africa. And also the Michael jackson's one of the last song " Hold my hand", as a tribute to his death.
2011 (MMXI) was a common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2011th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations. 2011 was an awesome year as well as the year I started kindergarten. I remember celebrating my 5th birthday and getting a mini Lalaloopsy school bus as one of my presents. I even remember my preschool teacher bringing in a bounce house inside the classroom on my last day of preschool. I would totally go back to 2011 as a little kid if I could. I can't believe 2011 was an entire decade ago already.
My opinion, I leant this one to be number one, manly because it had really great songs that year. There's a great remix for them. The old days were good.

I was 8 in this year, nothing bad happened to me or my family, most of movies and tv shows were good. And this year had amazing music. This year was SO good. Get this higher.
Nothing matches with this year, the energy, the enthusiasm, there are people who say that 2006 was boring and that hip hop died in 2006, but they're very wrong, 2006 is the year which set a fashion trend all the way up till 2012, so anything that people see in early 2010s is because of the change in 2006.
I was in middle school in '06, 7th grade I believe? still, the best year in my life because 1. I met my GF 2. digital media was the bomb and 3. GAMING!

1998 - 2001: I can not remember a thing!
2002 - 2004: These were the first years I vividly remember and these years were great! I was a happy and cheerful young child.
2005 - 2007: These years were also great!
2008 - 2009: Mediocre!
2010 - 2011: Things got way better!
2012: Best year for me! I was a healthy and cheerful teenager and this was the peak era of my family's happiness level. Also good music dropped. Just before everything went downhill by year.
2013 - 2014: Excellent years, but not good as 2012
2015 - 2017: Good years, but not that great as 2012 - 2014 was.
2018 - 2019: Average!
2020 - 2021: Bad! My depression began
2022 - 2023: Really bad! It got more worse!
2024: but this year is not over!

2004 - 2007: Great years, but not as good as the earlier years, but still had a great childhood.
2008 - 2012: These years were okay, Things were starting to change a lot
2013 - 2014: Bad. Things were starting to suck!
2015 - 2016: Awful! Things were getting worse!
2017 - Present: $#! tty music, Movies, T.V. shows, etc.
I sometimes hate being a teenager in the 2010s, which means I was 13 in 2013.
I sometimes wish I was born 10 years earlier in 1989, so I could be 13 in 2003, and 30 in 2020.
Although I was born in 1999, the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s were awesome, although a lot of people hated the mid to late 2000s, It wasn't that bad for me, except 2009.

2019 (MMXIX) was a common year starting on Tuesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2019th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 19th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 10th and last year of the 2010s decade. 2019 was the last good year with 12 full good months until everything in general and internet stuff went downhill. 2020/3/3 was the last good day and then every single thing that was going on around the world became crap including general stuff. 2020/3/3 was the day I came back from visiting Japan for cherry blossoms with my husband and the day after on the 4th he was in a crappy mood, and my two children who were toddlers destroyed a picture frame in our house, then everything went downhill and at evening I saw crappy content on internet, people on social media were saying crappy leap year instead of being glad, some terrible movie and I forgot what the name was it was released that day. Social media and movies have gone crap on this day. Japan went to all business in the country lockdown right after we came back there and then North America went into lockdown on the 13th. General stuff and internet stuff went downhill altogether.

This year was the golden time of my life. 2016 was just slightly worse, but still amazing, in February 2017 the golden time of my life ended and my dealing with Holocaust deniers started.
2015 was the most nostalgic year of my life. The starry night, M83music, my old friends, and the club Bella gold. Best time of my life. GT Racing 2, asphalt 7, and real racing 2 were still around and the atmosphere felt nostalgic. It is the second most nostalgic year followed by the 1980s.

Good and bad. I had a fun time going out with friends, exploring abandoned buildings, making youtube videos and trying not to breath in my friends vape haha. However I had an operation and was very ill the day before, also had a unusual reaction to a menijitis vaccine and threw up a lot so yeah strange year I guess.
Way better than the previous three years! One of the best, my second little sister was born, we moved to a better house, and I got a Nintendo Switch.
Best year of my life, 2016 was boring and terrible, in 2017, I felt so happy.

Just behind 2012, 2013, 2003, 2006. 2014 was the fifth best year for me since I lived in Japan. When I hear about 2014 playing nintendo with my friends spring into mind. Interestingly it was better than most of my childhood years. Nothing bad annoyed me that year except that celebrity, that lady in High Kick Through The Roof who died in November. Damn I wish I was born in 2003 like my younger sister so I could put 2014 in my childhood, not my teen years. I was born in 1999. My younger brother said that 2012 was his best year and agreed with me on the top three. 2014 is another year I wish to go back to.

But there was some good thing that actually happened this year, there were more bad things than good things. The good things were is that schools reopened for in-person learning, vaccines came out (in late 2020), few places started reopening, I started my first year of high school, I graduated middle school, and Spider-Man No Way Home came out.

I also in this year lost 50 lb. Also, in the summer 2020, when there were almostly no restrictions in my country, I had many trips. Yes, COVID pandemic was horrible, but is this time period better? Now, instead of it, people are dying in Ukraine and atomic war is again more and more probable scenario.
