Top Ten Bible Verses We Don't Need to Be Christian to Learn From

... Whether or not we are Christian, the Bible is beautiful book of love! No, I'm not trying to force religion down anyone's throats, but sometimes, the world is caught up with how Christians are acting, rather than realizing the book we are reading.
The Top Ten
1 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:21)

Strange enough, most people accept Bible verses when the fact that it's a Bible verse is taken away.

The Golden Rule is found in many other religious texts anyways

2 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs. (Proverbs 10:12)

Beautiful verse, from my favorite book!

3 Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (1 Corinthians 13:4)

It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, but rejoices with the truth! (a song we sang at Vacation Bible School! )

4 This is my command: Love each other. (John 15:17)

It's all you need.

5 honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 19:19)

If they are not abusive.

6 Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful than ten rulers in a city. (Ecclesiastes 7:19)
7 I know there is nothing better for people than to be happy, and to do good while they live. (Ecclesiastes 3:12)

Sometimes, Christians may feel like God is trying to take away our fun. Here, He is saying that we CAN enjoy the world-in fact, I learned at retreat, He WANTS us to enjoy the world He's made-but just to remember that the world is only temporary.

8 You shall not murder. (Exodus 20:13)

So... What is murder? Is it taking someone's life? Well, theses gov. Officials better not, oh wait... So was that right?

I had to add this one! For self-explanatory reasons! Also, shoutout to Leviticus 18:7-search it up!

9 Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as elaborate hairstyles or the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, is of great worth...

This is beautiful.
Maybe I should consider reading the bible, even if I disagree with so much of it!

10 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
The Contenders
11 Corinthians 16:14; “Let all that you do be done in love.”
