Biggest April Fools Jokes of 2018

This year's April Fools Day in 2018 truly had some big laughs. Getting to the point, this list will be counting down the biggest April Fools jokes of 2018. Bear in mind I may not know all of them, so feel free to add something I may have missed. Otherwise, feel free to vote and add to this list.
The Top Ten
1 Toonami Airing FLCL Season 3 in English Sub Instead of English Dub

Call me biased for putting this way at the top, but hey, it's my list, so I get to choose the top spot. Anyways, Adult Swim is big when it comes to its April Fools stunts. From the 2012 joke where Toonami was brought back instead of "The Room" airing like every April Fools Day prior to that year to the notorious 2017 joke where Rick and Morty made its Season 3 debut in place of new episodes of Samurai Jack Season 5 and Dragon Ball Super, the creativity and innovating minds of Adult Swim are truly a blessing. And this year in 2018, the Jason DeMarco and the Toonami crew really went above and beyond with this year's April Fools joke. As many of you may know, FLCL is getting two all new seasons coming this year in 2018, with FLCL: Progressive coming in June and FLCL: Alternative coming in September. So when FLCL aired its 3rd season on this April Fools weekend, the 3rd season definitely made its premiere... in ENGLISH SUBTITLES! That's right. Toonami has long stated they won't air anime ...more

This would be such an SJW move if given a though. When equality is a given attribute to it.

2 Burger King's "Chocolate Whopper"

Behold, the Type 2 Diabetes Burger! In this corporate April Fools fast food gag, Burger King presents not an average Whopper, but rather, a Chocolate Whopper. Consisting of chocolate cake buns, a chocolate patty, raspberry syrup, candied oranges, white chocolate rings, and vanilla frosting, this joke burger certainly must have given health experts heart attacks at the sight of such a concoction. Luckily for them, it's all a harmless joke. But seriously, I'm not sure if my sweet tooth can take in all the chocolaty goodness of something like the Chocolate Whopper. Or being able to take in all the rage my parents would have if I ever ate something unhealthy like that.

3 The Bizarre Rick and Morty Spoof, Known as Bushworld Adventures

As I've said before, everyone is most likely aware of Rick and Morty's April Fools stunt from last year when its 3rd season premiered instead of Samurai Jack and Dragon Ball Super. Did I forget to mention it aired for almost 8 HOURS STRAIGHT?! WHAT ON EARTH, TOM 5?! Ahem, saltiness aside, Rick and Morty isn't one to slack off in this year's April Fools weekend, as fans were notified by Adult Swim through a broadcast message to check out its official website. Expecting any potential news of the 4th season of Rick and Morty, fans were instead trolled hard by a bootleg short of Rick and Morty, called Bushworld Adventures. While fans sadly still have to wait for news of a Season 4 (Taiga Fujimura's been there, you know), the Bushworld Adventures is still a relatively fun short that both satirizes and pays homage to Rick and Morty's themes all in an alternate universe.

This is just a weird skit this is what rick and morty would be if it was 11 minutes instead of 22 minutes and if dave willis made this show 10/10 on the short

Did the Rick and Morty creator do some crack? If he did, why didn't he share any with me?

4 Google Cloud Hummus API

Google is no slouch at tech-savvy April Fools jokes with its fake products, and this year seems to be showing no signs of slowing down for next year's gags. One of the fake products in particular this year just so happens to be the Google Cloud Hummus API. Created by Google Israel, the Google application basically helps find a compatible hummus for the average hummus lover through an "advanced artificial intelligence algorithm" set in "a hummus big data warehouse". I wouldn't say the joke can apply to me that much since I don't eat hummus, but it's nice to see the Israelite people having a sense of humor.

5 Team Rocket Taking Over Pokemon Social Media Accounts

"Prepare for trouble! And make it double! To protect the world from devastation! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth and love! To extend our reach to the stars above! Jessie! James! Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light! Surrender now, or prepare to fight! Meowth! That's right! " That's right, indeed! The Pokemon Company truly had a field day with its April Fools stunt, as practically all Pokemon social media accounts were made to look as if Team Rocket hijacked into all of them in an attempt to gather all Pokemon fans across the web to help capture Pikachu. I've seen Gudako take over all Fate/Grand Order social media accounts, I've witnessed Lisbeth and Silica hijacking Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag to push for more character appearances, but this one truly takes the cake! As expected, at the end of the day, Team Rocket fails as always and blasts off again. Now to help Officer Jenny apprehend them even if it's all for naught!

6 The Fake Teaser Trailer for Shazam!

It's no joke there's really a film in production right now for the DC hero Shazam!. The project is being directed by David F. Sandberg, who also directed Lights Out. But, it IS a joke that a teaser trailer for Shazam! has been released recently. The teaser trailer for Shazam! initially starts out like any DC Universe cinema trailer by Warner Bros. would. It's only a few seconds until the fake-out comes along and it gives us footage of the 70's Shazam! live-action T.V. series and not the actual movie itself. Those who were actually looking forward to news of the upcoming movie may be disappointed, but I think most of us have had a pretty great laugh at the end of the day.

I hope for this to happen anytime soon. I wanna hear that iconic shout "SHAZAM! " heard for the first time in a live-action film. Make it happen DC.

7 Netflix Acquiring Seth Rogen

Wow, I never thought human trafficking could be this funny (I apologize in advance if I may have offended anyone who is a victim of or has witnessed human trafficking). Basically, Netflix made an April Fools joke where they acquired Seth Rogen by him signing a contract that will "transfer full ownership of his personal autonomy to Netflix, Inc." In reality, the acquisition is anything but real. However, the joke does somewhat act as advertising for Rogen's new comedy special coming to Netflix on April 6th as well.

8 Funko's Indestructible Box Spray

Funko now introduces a new concoction specifically designed to prevent your Funko boxes from inevitable destruction! Just spray on that box spray and POOF! Your box will be good as new regardless of any damage inflicted upon it in any intensity and any type. Trust me, it's truly something revolutionary for all you Funko collectors out there. Too bad this product for junkies is junk that's just fake junk. Guess it's best to keep on preserving them with every inch of obsessive-compulsive disorder you can.

9 Roku Happy Streaming Socks

Ever snack and watch on Roku, but when you reach the remote to switch to something else, your dirty grimy hands prevent you from tainting the remote? Well, no need to worry! Roku has now created the latest in technology. That's right! Roku is proud to present Roku Happy Streaming Socks! Now you can switch the T.V. just with the slightest movement of your toe through built-in motion-sensor technology! And that's not all! These pair of streaming socks also come with toe warmers and a homing device that keep you from ever losing these socks! WARNING: These socks may cause third-degree burns that may involve firefighters having to put out the burns while a fat green man squeals in pain. And these socks are coming in... NEVER!

10 Dragon Ball Super Episode 132

I think its an indefinite hiatus. But hey, as DBS's timing schedule was on Sundays, and this April 1st was on a Sunday, a week after the last episode, it'd say its effective.

11 ThinkGeek's Klingon Alphabet Fridge Magnets

Meh. Just some fridge magnets created by ThinkGeek that are supposedly meant to recite the Klingon Alphabet from the Star Trek franchise. Of course, I don't really have much to say about this since I really don't know that much about Star Trek, but I'm sure there's some Star Trek fans out there who may find interest in this elaborate April Fools joke. And who knows? Maybe someday, the product might become real and able to be purchased. After all, ThinkGeek has had one of its April Fools products from previous years become the real deal, so these fridge magnets may become real as well.
