Top Ten Biggest Mistakes of the WWE from 2006-2015

The Top Ten
1 2015: Roman Reigns Wins Royal Rumble

Let's face it 2015 has been a great year in WWE, but this had one of the worst Royal Rumble winners of the deacde. This wouldn't be such a problem if the WWE Champion wasn't Brock Lesnar. It just didn't seem right for Reigns to beat him, so they were forced to make Seth Rollins champion, which is in my opinion, an awful choice.

Simple he should have won the previous year when Batista shouldn't of won him winning 2015 made absolutely zero sense.

2 2013: Twice In A Lifetime

Just a word of advice, if the fans don't want it, then don't do it. While Mania 29 was great, the main event is one of the least wanted in history. When The Rock was made champion, they essentially spoiled the ending of Wrestlemania because no one else other than John Cena could really go over The Rock anymore because CM Punk had been champion for long enough.

WE did not need a sequel match between the rock & Cena one was enough.

3 2012: 18 Seconds

To put it simply, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus should've had a great 10-15 minute match, not an 18 second one. Especially considering it opened the show.

For a world title match that was ridiculously bad booking.

4 2011: The Miz Main Eventing Wrestlemania

In what universe is The Miz ever deserving of main eventing Wrestlemania, much less winning, much less against John Cena?

Later gets buried thank god I hate the miz.

5 2014: Making Brock Lesnar WWE Champion

To put it simply, Brock Lesnar created a complete mess as champion, forcing the WWE Title to be completely ignored for 4 months. Lesnar had a horrific 7 month reign which saw only 4 title matches.

I can see the point if it was taking a huge large break with the title then yea.

6 2010: Dropping The Ball With The Nexus

They should've won at Summerslam, they were suppose to but Cena's ego stopped it (admittingly he regretted it). Cena shouldn't have joined, and they should have gotten some championships.

The nexus should of won at summerslam but instead John Cena's ego said no.

7 2009: Having HHH vs Orton Main Event Mania 25

The biggest case of burnout since HHH vs. Jericho. It would have been a great match if it didn't main event the show. Why? Because one of the best matches ever HBK vs Undertaker should've ended the show.

We all know it should been Taker and HBK

8 2002: HHH vs Chris Jericho Main Eventing Mania X8

Everyone knows that Hogan vs Rock should've main eventer the card, and it was supposed to. However, just like when Booker T was supposed to beat HHH at Mania XIX, HHH ego supposedly stopped it, causing an underwhelming finish.

9 2014: Cena winning for the 15th time at money in the bank

Nobody wanted to see Cena get closer to beating Ric flair for the most reigns in history.

10 2003: Scott Steiner Main Event Push

I don't think I have to explain this very much. All I have to say is that HHH vs Steiner Royal Rumble 2003, was Triple H's worst match ever.

One of the worst build-ups to a match ever.

The Contenders
11 2008: The Billion Dollar Contest Thing

It seemed so innocent, they just wanted to boost ratingd, but it didn't work. In fact, they had to pull the plug on it just so they didn't lose so much money.

12 2004: Randy Orton As World Heavyweight Champion

Sure Randy Orton was a great competitor, sure he had the makings of a future world champion, but at the time, not a current World Champion, and not a Face either. His face turn was so bad, they forced him to drop the title just one month later.

Oh yea that was too soon.

13 2007: The WWE Title Mess of No Mercy

The worst part of this mistake was that it could have been easily prevented. Just have Triple H replace John Cena to battle for the vacated WWE Title. Not have the title given to Orton, then lose it to Triple H who defends it against Umaga, before losing it to Randy Orton. Who cares if HHH vs Umaga was booked, replace Triple H with say, a returning Shawn Michaels.

14 2006: Rey Mysterious World Champion.

Rey Mysterious just wasn't cut out to be World Champion. Plus, the match he won the title in was disappointingly rushed. Randy Orton was supposed to win the title but he decided to destroy a hotel room. Great job Randy, you are the reason behind one of the worst World Heavyweight Champions ever.

15 2001: The Botched Invasion

The Invasion angle should've been one of the biggest in WWF History, but Vince's ego forced it to completely flop, forcing WWE Stars to join team WCW. Making WWF vs WCW more of WWF vs WWF.

16 2000: Rikishi's Main Event Push/Heel Turn

They made rikishi look like a side note in the austin hhh fued. While the initial reveal was a shock everything that followed was utterly horrible

17 1996: Shawn Michaels Holding the WWF Title for so long.

HBK at first was just not a good World Champion, and people had known this long before he dropped the belt after 8 months. He should've dropped it at either King of the Ring or Summerslam.

But that was the beginning of the HBK era.

18 1994: Co Royal Rumble Winners

Okay, admittedly this actually could've worked, but the execution was just awful. Luger and Hart should not have had a title match on the same night. They should've battled each other before hand and one of them should've gotten a title Match.

19 2005: Drafting Batista to Smackdown

I know I will get some heat for this, but it really killed what could've have been a long rivalry between Batista and Triple H. Imagine if the two battled at Summerslam 2005, it would've been something special, and benefit them both. Unfortunately the draft crippled Triple H's momentum briefly, and after Batista lost the title, it took him forever to regain the title, and that title reign was quite short.

I don't think it was that bad honestly.

20 1999: Lying to Customers About Survivor Series

A Triple Threat Match was advertised between HHH, The Rock, and Stone Cold. However, Stone Cold being I'm the match was a hoax as he was scheduled for neck surgery. At the very last minute they replaced him with Big Show. All when they knowingly used false advertisement.

It seemed like it was big show appreciation night was what the PPV felt like.

21 1998: Kane Winning The WWE Title

Kane winning the title literally accomplished nothing because he dropped it back to Stone Cold the next day.

22 2014: wyatt Family Burial and splitting up

This was a bad decision because once Bray lost to John Cena at payback the whole faction started to break up to which Bray was doing solo matches to the point he was really losing momentum.

23 2013: Damien Sandow Burial

Cena had a injured shoulder and he still beats him such that is very wrong with this choice.

24 1997: Sycho Sid vs Undertaker Main Evening Wrestlemania

Seriously, Bret Hart vs Stone Cold was the only good match on the card, and it should've gone on last.

25 1995: Lawrence Taylor vs Bam Bam Bigelow

This was an example of when WWE didn't know what they were doing. Seriously, a retired football player vs a mid carder in the main event of Wrestlemania. That is why WWF was in a slump during this time period. Stupid stuff like this.
