Top Ten Biggest Problems with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

This series is so tired out and is getting so monotonous. This is probably the second worst movie in the franchise so far. It's actually pretty tragic. Some franchises need to just end if you know what I mean.
The Top Ten
1 It Was Made Solely for Profit

Cash cow goes MOO! Don't even try to fight me on this one because in your heart, you know it's true. Disney doesn't give a crap about the film, it gives more of a crap about making that MOOLAH. They've milked Star Wars, they've milked the live-action remakes, and now they're milking this franchise! You guys are seriously out for cash aren't you? Can you guys try not to make yourselves look like cash cow milkers?

Like the fourth, is was made for money. But then again, so is most modern movies. I was so hyped for this movie two. The first teaser was cool and that first trailer was SOOOO good! When watching it, I liked it, but in my heart I knew something was off, I had this feeling throughout the whole movie.
The POTC franchise ended with At World's End.
On Strangers Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales are spinoffs. Admitetly, enjoyable, but spinoffs nontheless.

Like the Jaws sequels, The Matrix sequels, Jurassic Park III, Age of Ultron, Transformers, Disney remakes, this movie was only made for money!

Hmmm, that explains why I found tons of Pirates merchandise at Walmart before the movie even came out.

2 Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, is a fictional character and the main protagonist in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. He is a pirate in the film series. The characterization of Sparrow is based on a combination of The Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards and Looney Tunes cartoon character Pepé Le Pew. He first appears in the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. He later appears in the sequels Dead Man's Chest (2006), At World's End (2007), On Stranger Tides (2011), and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017).

Oh lord. I can't even believe that JACK SPARROW is one of the problems with the movie. You know your movie isn't good if the most iconic character is actually one of the biggest problems. Jack contributes VERY LITTLE to the plot this time around. First, he gets himself in trouble because he loses his crew, then he gets drunk and sells his compass, allowing Salazar to get to of the Devil's Triangle. Once he gets the Black Pearl out for everyone and they set sail...he does NOTHING other than make terrible jokes! Yet the movie STILL chooses to focus on him! Why? He's not important to the story, the movie should be focusing on Henry Turner, the new character they introduced!

This is not Jack Sparrow. This is someone pretending to be Jack Sparrow. The writers clearly did not understand Jack Sparrow at all. He is a genius, a genius disguised as a fool. His weird mannerisms, odd talking is just to throw his opponent off. He is a master at escaping situations that one would think was impossible. He is not some Mr.Magoo who does things by pure luck.
Say what you will about On Stranger Tides, at least they still kept Jack mostly himself.

I agree, all he did was get drunk and then GIVE away the compass he was always supposed to keep. He was acting like a jerk messing around, yet barely contributed to the plot like Carina and Henry did. He IS the MAIN character, he should of contributed much more good to the plot instead of bad, that is the villain's job. So were they trying to make Jack Sparrow a VILLAIN

3 It's Unoriginal

This proves that the series needs to just end. It basically just uses the exact same formula as the last few movies and charges you extra cash. It doesn't take risks. It doesn't build upon its success (oh wait...what success). It doesn't even TRY to be something creative.

Just let this franchise die.

4 The Plot is Convoluted

One of the positives of the first two installments is that they had very simple plots and they could do a lot in the runtime because of it. This forced in WAY too much, explaining why the characters get out of so many tough situations super easily. Barbossa coming in to stop Jack's marriage to that ugly monster is clearly the movie's way of saying, "We need to move on, we've run out of time for this segment". The same thing could be said when Jack is conveniently saved from the guillotine by his Pirate Crew who didn't even like him at that point.

5 Terrible Humor

To put it simply: The humor is just not funny or memorable at all. Jack Sparrow is not funny in the slightest, making this entry tie into #4. He literally does nothing "funny" in the movie besides getting drunk and just being an idiot. Carina Smyth being referred to as a witch over and over again was extremely annoying as well. The rest of the jokes were forgettable.

6 Fanservice

Jack Sparrow being an idiot throughout the movie is fanservice. Hector Barbossa is fanservice. Making this movie is fanservice. Continuing this franchise is fanservice.

I liked the film, but this list is really good.

7 Terrible Acting

I'm mainly focusing on that dreaded actress for Carina Smyth. Whoever was directing her really sucked at it because her acting was so laughable it hurt.

8 Boring Characters

I didn't find the characters interesting in any aspect, but maybe that is the movie's fault for not doing much with them at all.

9 Generic Story

Blah blah blah, get the Trident and defeat the bad guys, blah blah blah.

10 Generic Antagonist
The Contenders
11 It's Boring

Compared to other movies in the series, I didn't feel invested at all.

12 Lame Action
13 Too Predictable
14 Johnny Depp Isn't as Good as He Used to Be

This is true! This movie is a huge Joke!

He lost his mojo

15 Unoriginal Music

The music on its own is actually quite good but everyone knows that this wasn't the pirate music many liked. Geoff Zanelli brought some too much with him. He also changed the instruments in some key pirates music. And that hurts. Except for the beginning and ending, most of the music was not what you expect
