Top Ten Biggest Snubs in the 2018 Oscar Nominees

The Oscars 2018 has just been released, and there was some really good choices for nominations here and there. But of course it had some snubs as well. Here are the biggest snubs of the 2018 Oscars!

The Contenders: Page 2

21 Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
22 Cars 3

Not the greatest animated movie of 2017, but it was one of the better ones that year, and surely it's much better than The Boss Baby! - ModernSpongeBobSucks

23 Mary and the Witch's Flower

I find it odd that when it comes to anime at the Oscars, only Studio Ghibli movies are favored upon. I know Mary and the Witch's Flower is a Studio Ponoc movie, but that studio was comprised of former Studio Ghibli employees. Either way, the fact that The Boss Baby snubbed The Lego Batman Movie, A Silent Voice, this, and the other anime movies submitted including In This Corner of The World, Napping Princess, and Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale really enrages me. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

24 In This Corner of the World

They chose The Boss Baby over a realistic portrayal of traditional life in Japan during the WWII-era. More or less, I'd say that's actually just heartless. Just heartless. Just as heartless as A Silent Voice being snubbed too and as heartless if The Breadwinner never got nominated (I'm glad it did, though). - ModernSpongeBobSucks

25 Napping Princess

This anime movie had such prolific talent and industry veterans working on it! The concept itself is undoubtedly interesting, to say the least as well. As with any of the 5 anime movies submitted for nomination for this year's Oscars, Napping Princess deserved a place among these 5 to have a chance to be nominated. Compelling in both story and animation, I can't fathom why anime movies as touching and well-crafted as this are snubbed by something like DreamWorks's latest cinematic trash. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

26 My Little Pony: The Movie

While not the greatest animated movie of 2017 (nor have I seen it myself.), this movie is at least WAY more worthy of a nomination than The Boss Baby. However, there's just one thing. I've said it once and I'll say it again: My Little Pony: The Movie wasn't submitted to the list of animated movies being considered for nomination in the Best Animated Feature Film category to begin with. In other words, it isn't the Oscars' fault, it's Hasbro's fault that they didn't even consider submitting their movie for nomination. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

27 Batman vs. Two-Face

The best film of the year. Rest in peace Adam West (the most likeable and charming Batman ever.) - girlcool

28 Get Out
29 Ryan Gosling - Blade Runner 2049 Ryan Gosling - Blade Runner 2049 Ryan Thomas Gosling is a Canadian actor, musician, and producer. He began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs including Are You Afraid of the Dark?
30 The Emoji Movie

Nah, this deserved to be snubbed. Even The Boss Baby deserved a nomination more than The Emoji Movie. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

Nice joke, now stop trolling - BoyGenius234

Deserves to burn. - mattstat716

32 The Star

Wouldn't say it really deserves an Oscar nomination. Not saying I like it or that I think it's a good movie from the looks of it, but at least it's better than The Emoji Movie. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

33 Justice League

Deserved a Oscar for special effects. - girlcool

34 Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

I'm sorry for constantly putting this film on lists. I just really liked it and wanted to help it become more popular. - girlcool

Well, they don't really nominate direct-to-video/DVD movies, so I can't really say this was snubbed. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

Do you really think the academy would nominate something like this? - Phillip873

Tom & Jerry : Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory : The Adventures Of Link & Zelda
& Knuckles - mattstat716

35 Beauty and the Beast (2017)
36 Transformers: The Last Knight
37 Wind River
38 Armie Hammer - Call Me By Your Name

Hammer should have easily received a nomination over Woody Harrelson. Hammer was much more deserving.

39 Tiffany Haddish - Girls Trip
