Top Ten Most Bizarre Blind Guardian Songs

***
Blind Guardian stuff is odd in general but some songs top even their own average level of eccentricity.
This bizarre feel can come from an odd song structure, odd time signature, melody, vocals, lyrics, chorus, bridge... Or a combination of several things.

Note:
Odd time signatures/ meters, such as 5/4, 6/4, 7/8, 9/8, 13/8, 23/16...
The default time signature for metal is 4/4 (march! ) so anything different from 4/4 is odd in metal.

The Top Ten
1 Bright Eyes

What's NOT bizarre here?
One of the most unique songs I've ever heard. It's awesome.
Also check out the acoustic version. Amazing, too.

2 Nightfall

Odd time signatures. How odd? - You can dance waltz to this metal song! Try it - invite your significant other and do it. Or just imagine ballroom dancers doing that.

3 The Throne

This song is composed of several choruses - I've never heard anything like that!

There are several amazing melodies, each one deserving to be a chorus to different songs.

I just can’t stop singing along from start to finish.

One of my favorites from the 2015 album - it's just great! I'm so proud of them.

4 Wheel of Time

Oriental tunes here - it’s bizarre to hear anything oriental in a metal song.

When I listen to ‘Wheel Of Time’ I always imagine belly dancers dancing to this symphonic metal piece … Yeah, it sounds bizarre because it really is but nevertheless, ‘Wheel Of Time’ is a masterpiece.

Ritchie Blackmore used Arabic scales in Stargazer and Gates Of Babylon (Rainbow).

5 Sacred Mind

Ghostly and psychotic vocals, and lyrics.
I do love how Hansi sings with his ghostly voice at the beginning and especially how he shouts "on FIRE! ". It sounds so psychotic and it's so awesome!
This song is quickly becoming a favorite from the new 2015 album.

6 Time Stands Still (At the Iron Hill)

The way characters are portrayed is unusual in a metal song, especially the part with dialogues and how Hansi sings this. Here Hansi is a semi-actor.

"I'll dare you, come out, you coward
Now, it's me or you".

"Slowly in fear the Dark Lord appears
'Welcome to my lands, you shall be damned".

7 Lord of the Rings

When lyrics say "Slow down", music speeds up! Odd and pure genius.
This just sends 2 opposite messages to your brain (slower, faster) and I'm sure they did it on purpose.

8 Time What Is Time

1. Acoustic intro to a pretty heavy song;
2. Moreover, it's flamenco style!

But it works perfectly. That contrast is a cool transition.

9 Miracle Machine - Blind Guardian

A song with no intro. Hansi just starts singing after one short note on the piano. Only one note, less than 1 second long!

10 Majesty

It's one of the fastest metal songs, which is also pretty agressive but it opens with...a barrel organ version of 'The Blue Danube' - a waltz by Johann Strauss II.

The Contenders
11 The Bard's Song

It's inspired by folk tunes. One may say folk metal bands also use folk tunes, so what's the unique thing here?
Here it is: Blind Guardian use folk tunes but they don't sound like the other folk metal bands. Blind Guardian just use the folk tunes in a different way and nobody calls them a folk metal band.
