Most Bizarre Picks from Day 1 of the 2018 NFL Draft

Sometimes things get really weird in the first round that comes completely outta no where it can be good at times, but then there are really bad times where your sitting there going... they picked who? Here are simply the most outta placed picks that are quite a bit off much.
The Top Ten
1 Denzel Ward to Browns No. 4

Okay look Ward was expected to fall top 10 around the late 10's at the maximum no way would anybody expect Ward to actually fall in the top 5, and yet Bradley Chubb was still on the board. Classic Browns in a nutshell have fun with another lost season already.

2 Rashaad Penny to Seahawks No. 27

Oh dear god this was an epic fail selection by Pete Carroll to make the call that he believed that penny was the better back than Guice really has some serious issues. I have hard to believe a guy from San Diego St. is better than Guice from LSU who has the more explosive talent to really put a team on the map of offense capabilities.

3 Jaire Alexander to Packers No. 18

Green Bay's plan totally back fired that's for sure what were they thinking when they traded down only to take a corner who was at best a late first round pick. In that time, and spot Jackson from Iowa would of been a great pickup for somebody with great size, and speed his got it all, but it is what it is.

4 Taven Bryan to Jaguars No. 29

I really don't get this pick whatsoever, You have Malik Jackson, and Marcell Dareus already in play of that amazing 4-3 defense. It was already set WHY ARE WE DRAFTING ANOTHER D-TACKLE! Give Bortles some weapons he lost Allen Robinson, and yet you couldn't at least take Courtland Sutton unbelievable.

5 Terrell Edmunds to Steelers No. 28

Well I did expect at least an Edmunds to be taken off in the first round never would of fought both brothers would be gone especially the safety who I didn't even expect to fall in this first round at all. Cool seeing Ryan Shazier though for the special pick, but than again they had a chance to get Harold Landry Steelers might not get another chance to do that.

6 Mike Hughes to Vikings No. 30

For one I get why they need to replace Tare Waynes whose a pretty weak number two corner, but I'd argue that a guard would of been the more far right observation considering the guards struggled much more than the tackles had.

7 Sony Michel to Patriots No. 31

A very surprising pick considering that Lamar Jackson was still up there as well as Courtland Sutton would of been a good depth guy to have instead we get Michael who has major flags with healthy related issues not so sure of this selection.

8 Hayden Hurst to Ravens No. 25

I'm not a fan of the pick, or the fact that he is basically going to be 25 by the time the season begins thus a major red flag. Thankfully this was not the last pick from Ozzie Newsome as it was Lamar Jackson who would be the last choice that reasonably does make sense. Where Hurst yeah I get you need a new Tight End because Benjamin Watson wasn't the miracle worker you hoped for, but the Dakota kid would of been a more acceptable pick than a guy whose 25, and at best has 3 years in him to play at the maximum.

9 Billy Price to Bengals No. 21

Now as a need this is not a bad decision, but the fact that James Daniels was still on that board, and yet was still not taken was stunning t say the least. For me he is nothing more than a round 2 pick he'd be in my top 50 list, but then again expect the unexpected when it comes to the Bengals only if so then they should of drafted Orlando Brown right?

10 Josh Allen to Bills No. 7

Now granted realistically its not totally bizarre, but I'll tell you what is the fact he fell where he did in the matter of a 24 hour last minute time span. Allen was found out of past offensive twitter posts thus you believed he would fall hard in the draft well the Bills said screw that red flag logic, and still took him anyway. While arriving at the draft itself I couldn't help, but notice that his excuse for it all was somebody was using it at the time which I find hard to believe, and frankly I'm in shock they still took him after all that developing story in the matter of hours leading up to the draft.

The Contenders
11 Baker Mayfield to Browns No.1

This might just be me but I thought this was weird because it kinda came out of nowhere. He could be good but knowing Cleveland they have their history of quarterback failures. On top of that everyone thought they would have taken Saquon Barkley.
