Top 10 Blatant Lies that Nostalgia Purists Will Tell You About Video Games
I actually don't like the first generation, they have one of my least favourite sets of starters, and a lot of the designs are just too boring. There are 5 legendary Pokemon, which apart from mewtwo, are pretty vanilla, at least mewtwo gots its own signature move in gen 5, and megas in gen 6. And the region is rather boring, not having any real interesting areas. There are a few Pokemon I like from gen 1, but the series just got heaps better over time. Gen 2 is a huge leap, adding tons of new evolutions, making the older Pokemon a little less boring and making them easier to remember, and many of my favourite Pokemon were added in gen 2, eg: Ampharos, Skarmory, Heracross, Scizor, Tyranitar, Typhlosion, and of course Lanturn. Not saying gen 1's bad or anything, it's Pokemon, it's almost always good, but just not one of the better ones.
This is when I REALLY started to realize how overrated ALTTP and OOT really were
Hell, there were actually quite a few things about Link's Awakening and the Oracles that I enjoyed more

Did Super Metroid ever have a horrific alien parasite epidemic (CONSIDERABLY even more horrific than Metroids, mind you, not counting Prime from Metroid Prime) attempting to take over the entire universe in the most absolutely disgusting fashion possible, even going as far as to copy Samus' Power Suit just for good measure?
More importantly, did Earthbound ever explicitly show Porky becoming an even worse version of Adolf Hitler and effectively turning the entire world into his diseased, polluted plaything? Did Earthbound ever show animals being amalgamated together into terrifying beasts like the Cattlesnake and the Horsantula? Definitely not true, I mean sure, the fifth installment: Paper Jam Bros. was dissapointing but that was only the fifth one! Dream Team, the fourth one outshines the original in almost every way!

In the past, I wasn't very sure of this game at first due to the M-rating, but when I got older and understood it more, I realized that it was not as bad as I expected and is actually very funny. That is, if you like dark humor. As long as you separate fiction from reality, then all is well.
Okay, I'll admit that the Great Mighty Poo boss fight was pretty funny, especially the first few times

I admit that Star Fox 64 is my favorite Star Fox game (especially the 3DS remake), but that doesn't mean that I can't like any of the others, since the other games, despite their flaws, are as likeable.

Untrue. It may have flaws, but I still liked it and it is far from the worst, despite what many have claimed. Rise of Lyric has more flaws, if anything.
No it isn't. The franchise sucks as a whole and the crossover concept is terrible. Why would anyone put Square-Enix characters in a crossover with the overrated corporate mess known as Disney? It does not help that the original characters are terrible and adored by so many perverse yaoi fans. The storyline is also too confusing to even discuss about.
Nah, they were only made to please the die-hard fans of those IPs and aren't as good as other games.

It doesn't matter to me who Rareware should be part of. Their games are great, regardless. Both Nintendo and Microsoft are good. Cut it out already, whiny nostalgic brats.
As much as I love the game, I still acknowledge it's flaws. Good game, but still; Some of the other games were better. Awakening technically saved the Fire Emblem franchise from dying or fading into obscurity, for instance.

Not true. It is actually a good game and I am hoping that it will release on the Switch, knowing how most Wii U games are getting rereleases there these days.
