These Blues artists have been (quite rightly so) officially recognised and inducted as Legendary Blues Artists in the Blues Hall of Fame.I've included my personal favourites. If I've missed any you feel deserves to be included in this list, feel free to add, or vote for an existing artist.

She was known for her eccentric hippie style and psychedelic rock music. Actually, her "psychedelic" period wasn't all that psychedelic, and fairly short. In the two years she fronted for Big Brother, the music was mostly blues-rock and R&B. The Kozmic Blues band and Full Tilt Boogie were much cleaner, tighter bands, and she was still rock, blues-rock and R&B, though her vocal control had improved markedly. Then, she passed.
