Top 10 Blues Songs by Non-Blues Musicians

The Top Ten
1 Yer Blues - The Beatles

This sounds so incredible by Jeff Healey Band.

2 Blues Scene - Pink Floyd

Wow! I'm listening to this right now. Was sceptical about it as it's, well, Pink Floyd (not my favourite band at all) but I love it! I never expected it to sound so good! Love that guitar!

Found this song a couple of days ago just on YouTube. Damn, it's gold.

3 This Note's for You - Neil Young
4 Boomtown Blues - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
5 Ice Cream Man - Van Halen
6 Soldier of Fortune - Deep Purple
7 Young Man Blues - The Who
8 The Ride - Prince
9 Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City - Whitesnake

My favourite of Whitesnakes's. Really, really love this song by this band.

10 Ride On - AC/DC

This is by far my favourite song of theirs. Not so much the vocals but the music sounds amazing.

I know I've said many times that AC/DC are a blues rock band, but this one is a straight out blues song. Nothing better in the Acca Dacca catalogue.

The Contenders
11 Mistreated - Deep Purple
12 Could This Be Magic? - Van Halen
13 One Long Day - Cold Chisel
14 Night Owl Blues - The Lovin' Spoonful

The Spoonful weren't a dedicated blues band (their style was more a mixture of folk and pop rock), but this song has some awesome blues harp playing by John Sebastian. He was a great harp player.
