1 Harold Shipman Harold Frederick Shipman Jr. (14 January 1946 – 13 January 2004), known to acquaintances as Fred Shipman, was a British GP and the most prolific serial killer in recorded history, with an estimated 250 victims. On 31 January 2000, Shipman was found guilty of murdering fifteen patients under his care. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order. Shipman died by suicide by hanging himself in his cell at HM Prison Wakefield, West Yorkshire, on 13 January 2004, aged 57.

2 Amelia Dyer Amelia Elizabeth Dyer was one of the most prolific serial-killers in history, murdering infants in her care over a 20 year period in Victorian Britain.

5 Dennis Nilsen Dennis Andrew Nilsen (23 November 1945 - 12 May 2018) was a British serial killer and necrophiliac, also known as the Muswell Hill Murderer and the Kindly Killer, who murdered at least 12 young men in a series of killings committed between 1978 and 1983 in London, England.
6 Peter Sutcliffe Peter William Sutcliffe is an English serial killer who was dubbed the "Yorkshire Ripper" by the press.
7 Patrick Mackay Patrick David Mackay is a British serial killer who confessed to murdering 11 people in London and Kent in England, from 1974-1975.

Despite his crimes and being classified as a psychopath, he does show remorse. He even writes about how terrible he felt in a prison journal. At least that much is good.

10 Jack The Ripper "Jack the Ripper" was the alias of an unknown serial killer in Whitechapel, London who brutally murdered 5 women (mainly prostitutes) between August and November of 1888. To this day, he has remained a mysterious and popular phenomena among serial killers and popular media.

He's probably the most famous of all. He pretty much started the whole serial killer craze. And he was never caught nor identified. We will most likely never know his true identity.
