3 Parklife - Blur

Better than oasis

4 Different Class - Pulp

Totally with ziggylife on this one. Jarvis Cocker is one of the greatest singers and lyricists of all time - he deconstructs daily life with an unstoppable sense of humor and of observation, while also sounding like he wants to make love to every girl who he has ever met. This has some of my favorite melodies of all time, too. The instrumentation is not bad, though it's not the highlight - but the pretty original use of synths is noteworthy.

Favorites : 'Common People', a working-class anthem full of cathartic rage ; 'Mis-Shapes', an opener that calls every loser, virgin and pauper to arms ; 'Something Changed', probably the most lovey-dovey love song ever ; and 'Sorted For E's and Wizz', an absolutely stunningly well-written song about rave parties.

"Stomach in, chest out
On your marks, get set, GO !"

This is not only the greatest Britpop albums, but one of the best albums ever.
