I really hate this show. It's explicit overtones makes it too dark for the young demographic it supposed to be marketed to, and gives us the wrong view on wildlife. The "circle of life" garbage that the "pridelanders" follow is their way of justifying killing, which is not right. It needs to be cancelled immediately, and I hope that will be the case once the supposed darker second season is over and done with.
The only good thing about this show is that it introduced a clan of good hyenas, an antidote to the negative portrayal of the species in the original film. That's it. There is nothing else that's good about TLG, or TLK as a whole, no matter what views people have.
It would've been better if it was an original series with an all-new cast of original characters instead of a spinoff of TLK.
