At first he was a dumb but sort of lovable character, but now he's just a jerk and it seems like he knowingly pretends to be dumb to annoy others.
I really miss old patrick. Now he is a huge Jerk
Not anymore but still not as good as Pre-movie spongebob. Through at least he is not using his acting skills to annoy others - toptenforlife

Chloe's arguably still worse than him no matter what season, but that doesn't mean he's completely safe from Flanderization. He used to be a very sympathetic character in the early seasons. While he was impulsive at times, he was usually a kid with a good heart who truly loved his fairies. However, I can't be the only one who notices he's gotten more selfish and reckless over the later seasons.
