Top 10 Cartoon Characters We Feel Most Sorry For

Cartoon characters who most deserve our pity characters who are annoyed, abused or treated like dirt by other characters.
The Top Ten
1 Squidward Tentacles (Spongebob Squarepants) Squidward Tentacles is a fictional character voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

I can so relate to this guy. When I was in school trying to mind my own business at breaks on my computer indoors, I've encountered millions of annoying kids always saying hi to me and won't leave me alone. I keep screaming at them to do so but they just don't obey AT ALL. (And yes, that type of monstrosity happened when I was in eighth grade, and it STILL continues!)

Those kids at my school aren't very educated to even become ninth graders (my current school grade) and I have to face the pain every single time at high school, it's so annoying. And even when I encounter annoying children at my class, I run out to the corridors so they won't bother me of what I'm doing. They're the reason why I decided to change my mind and have millions of mental health problems my life, and it's surprising nobody has noticed that until now.

And the fact that all of the counsellors always defend them by my actions and gives me millions of lectures. Luckily, I didn't get suspended, but also gets and gets the blame a lot of times and I'm so sick of it. My throat keeps burning all the time I keep yelling at them, and it's annoying because they NEVER obey at all. And I'm pretty sure that Squidward has the same problems within his life as well.

Trust me, me and Squidward really compare instead I like Spongebob and Patrick.

2 Meg Griffin (Family Guy) Megan "Meg" Griffin is a character from the animated television series Family Guy, voiced initially by Lacey Chabert, thereafter by Mila Kunis.

#EndMegAbuse

Cut it out Seth MacFarlane! Meg has had enough! Sometimes, he just doesn't know when to kill a gag that has worn out it's welcome well before the show's decline! Meg is too smart and pretty for this ish! It's no surprise Seth MacFarlane doesn't know how to write teenage girls! It's no secret, it's common knowledge really!

It sucks being Meg living with a family that always treat her like crap they make fun of her, abuse her and Peter constantly farts on her every chance he gets, there was an actual time when the family actually cared for her but over the years they stopped caring.

3 Sheldon J. Plankton (SpongeBob SquarePants) Sheldon James Plankton, or simply Plankton, is a character in the Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Dude, forget blasting out of the restaurant, Plankton is an emotionally abused, pathetic, occasionally suicidal bum who can barely keep his business afloat. He is constantly mocked and hurt by someone who used to be his friend, and now lives with a fake wife that constantly points out what a failure at life he is.

What's so bad about giving him the Krabby Patty Secret Formula? Krabs getting a penny less a day?

Let's just forget all of the evil things he has done, Mr Krabs has to blast him out of his restaraunt.

4 Chuckie (Rugrats)

Really, his life has to be hard? He has to be afraid of everything? He has to be tormented by the evil Angelica? His mother had to leave him when he was a little baby? Come on Klasky Csupo, stop picking on an innocent two year old!

His life isn't THAT hard. But still, imagine being him for one day.

I feel sorry for Chuckie… )': If it wasn't for Angelica, he would've had a better life with Tommy.

5 Butters Stotch (South Park) Leopold "Butters" Stotch is a fictional character in the animated television series South Park. He is voiced by series co-creator Matt Stone and loosely based on co-producer Eric Stough.

His parents are the worst parents I have seen, at least, in a cartoon, they needed to be arrested literal. Butters needs better parents!

I feel really bad for Butters. His parents are horrible to him and always grounding him for no reason.

His parents always have to abuse him.

6 Charlie Brown (Peanuts)

He's the only child who gets rocks for halloween.

He tries so hard to do things right but always ends up failing miserably, than he has to yet deal with people like Lucy who never give him a break

7 Tom (Tom and Jerry) Thomas "Tom" Cat is a fictional character and one of the title characters in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's series of Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoon short films.

Childhood is the time when you like Jerry and admire his smartness. Maturity is the time you understand Jerry is a Jerk and you feel sorry for Tom. SO TRUE!

Jerry always harms him for his own amusement.

Can't Tom truly win just for once?

8 Courage (Courage the Cowardly Dog) Courage is a fictional character and the titular main protagonist of the Cartoon Network animated series, Courage the Cowardly Dog.
9 Cody (Total Drama World Tour)

Boy, did Cody have an uneasy time in World Tour. He was continuously stalked and harassed by Sierra, and had many of his stuff touched in the process. I mean, I get it, he stalked Gwen two seasons prior, but Sierra took things to a new low. Sierra never left him alone to the point where he voted for her in every single elimination ceremony he was in. This type of thing is the reason Tord left Eddsworld, THIS. All the boy wants is some privacy. PLEASE LEAVE HIM ALONE.

Poor Cody! He gets all the bad luck! He wanted to date Gwen but she didn't like him back! He's so sweet and kind.

10 Jonathan (Rugrats)

I do indeed feel sorry for him in life over such things. His boss, Charlotte Pickles, is oblivious, gossipy, and shallow about such things in life.

When he's not being screamed at by his demanding boss Charlotte he's stuck looking out for her bratty kid Angelica.

The Contenders
11 Wile E. Coyote (Looney Tunes)

The Road Runner always raspberries at him. That's pretty mean. It's like all his actions and attempts to catching him seem justified, luckily he does catch him in Family Guy.

I must admit that similar to Tom and Jerry I actually found it pretty frustrating to watch him continuously try and never manage to catch his nemesis.

I want acnes favorite customer to win just once, but then again that would make him look worse than ever.

12 Timmy Turner (The Fairly OddParents) Timothy "Timmy" Tiberius Turner is a ten-year old boy who is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the American animated series The Fairly OddParents created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

Believe me, he's a 10-year-old who often gets into dangerous situation in a cartoonish ways. How does the show portrayed child abuse like that? I never seen child abuse in my life and I think this is gone too far enough. Getting eaten by an animal (e.g. piranhas, bears, crocs, etc.), getting crushed by an object (e.g. anvils, pianos, etc.), getting killed by someone (Francis, Vicky, Crocker, etc.), etc. I'm glad the show has toned down a bit nowadays (well, almost) but I don't think you should see a REAL kid getting killed by someone or something in a cartoonish ways. I like the show, but the writers have gone too far.

13 Kif (Futurama)

He becomes Zapp Brannigins scapegoat anytime he screws up always gets treated like dirt.

Zap is such a idiot and Kif is Amy's boyfriend and he's a good one.

14 Dexter (Dexter's Laboratory) Dexter is a fictional character and the titular main protagonist of the Cartoon Network animated series, Dexter's Laboratory.

In almost every episode Dee Dee breaks into his lab and destroys most of his invention.

15 Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb)

He's too pure to be a villain. He got abused in his childhood, he was forced to be the family garden gnome. His parents didn't let him play toys whatsoever.

16 Lindsay (Total Drama Island)

Since the beginning Lindsay has always did what ever Heather demands from her and all she gets in return is nothing but crap, Heather later gets her eliminated.

She should be number 1! Heather used her and I got so glad she cussed at her. Action proves she isn't as dumb as we think she is.

She doesn't even realize when she's getting taken advantage of.

17 Kenny McCormick (South Park) Kenneth "Kenny" McCormick is a main character in the animated adult television series South Park, along with his friends Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, and Eric Cartman.

I feel really bad for him. He always gets killed in every episode.

18 Harley Quinn (Batman: The Animated Series)

She's loyal to the Joker, but he's all take and no give.

19 Mrs. Puff (SpongeBob SquarePants)

I feel quite so very super sorry for poor Mrs. Puff herself myself in life all because of having to suffer such endurance of the bane of her existence, SpongeBob SquarePants, who is "unteachable" all because of his boundless optimism and also probably even like for how he is all just a sponge as well as being boneless like no such bones and he's probably also even superficial with a huge lack of depth, just like a shallow person is in life rather than deep like a deep person is in life with such profound insight of depth.

20 Edd (Ed Edd N Eddy) Edd, mostly referred to by his nickname "Double D," is one of the three protagonists in the Canadian-American animated comedy television series Ed, Edd n Eddy. He is the physically weakest but the most intelligent member of the Eds.
21 Rocko (Rocko's Modern Life) Rocko is the eponymous fictional character of the cartoon Rocko's Modern Life and the comic book series of the same name. He is an Australian anthropomorphic wallaby who immigrated to the United States. He works at a comic book store, lives next to annoying neighbors, and is friends with the gluttonous... read more

I'm highly convinced that the show's theme song intro sequence was actually him having a nightmare about the sheer amount of abuse he's suffered throughout his life. And that's just the BEGINNING of the show.

! I feel so sorry for Rocko! I just want to cry for that poor wallaby! )': If it wasn't for *cough cough* EDWARD BIGHEAD, *cough cough* Rocko would have a better life! Rocko rocks! The Bigheads suck!

Yep, it's pretty sad, but I know some people actually have it worse...

22 Shego (Kim Possible) Shego is a fictional character from Disney's animated television series Kim Possible, voiced by Nicole Sullivan.

You should have Ezekiel (Total Drama Island) as #1! He's been abused to the point to not even not knowing himself!

How can she stand being Dr. Drakken's sidekick she's way better at being a villain then him and most all of the other villain characters she actually took over the world in A Sitch in Time but since then she just puts up with Drakkens stupidity and willingly follows his orders.

23 Miguel Santos (Maya & Miguel)

Maya is always dragging Miguel against his will into helping with her stupid plans which never work.

24 Hans Moleman (The Simpsons) Hans Moleman is a recurring character on the animated television series The Simpsons. He was created by series creator Matt Groening and is voiced by Dan Castellaneta, and first appeared in the episode "Principal Charming".

This Simpson character deserves better.

25 Sideshow Mel (The Simpsons) Sideshow Mel is a character in The Simpsons. He is the sidekick of Krusty the Clown because Sideshow Bob went to jail. He first appears in the episode Itchy and Scratchy and Marge.

Sideshow Mel constantly puts up with Krusty's abuse on a daily basis.
