Top 10 Cartoon Episodes That Are Parodies/Homages Of Movies, Books, TV Shows And/Or Other Cartoon Episodes
Let's face it; these more-often-than-not have a pretty strong tendency to become some of our favorites from these showsEven if you absolutely hate the show like I do, this is another extremely rare diamond in its rough that is most definitely worth seeking out if you are even remotely a fan of the film trilogy that it's based off of
Honestly enjoyed it more than the real show it was based off of, ESPECIALLY the part where the head executives of Sony and Microsoft began straight-up beating each other senseless over the never-ending "Playstation VS Xbox" dispute between them (personally, I'm rather offended that Nintendo's existence wasn't even acknowledged in the slightest by this episode, considering how RIDICULOUSLY good of games they generally make, but in the grand scheme of things, this episode is just so RIDICULOUSLY good that the complaint honestly feels like a mere minor nitpick to me)
It was based on Game of Thrones, not Walking Dead.
Absolutely perfect finale to an already ridiculously epic season of the show, enough said
This episode is honestly the main reason why I actually knew when watching it that the REAL Shawshank Redemption movie actually WAS, in fact, very directly based off of a classic Stephen King novel
For those of you who don't know what Invisible Enemy is, it's from Doctor Who
(DISCLAIMER: I totally DID, in fact, find out about it through a lucky guess on T.V. Tropes)
All I can really remember about this episode is the Kyle Reese parody and that one part where Cartman re-enacts the infamously horrifying "transformation" scene from the ending to Akira, but you hopefully get the idea regardless (if by any chance you don't then boy do you REALLY need to start watching more anime movies, as well as classic action movies in general)
Underrated gem of a show, even more underrated gem of an episode
Personally, my favorite part (besides the cyborg dogs) was the discount Freddy Kreuger with the ball sack chin
Yes, even right down to the part where Jack (now replaced by Heffer) goes to the residence's built-in bar to drown his sorrows
This was the only good episode of Regular Show in my opinion.
