Back to the Past - Time Squad

bobbythebrony So many of you younger user probably don't know about the good Cartoon Network show known as Time Squad but I'll tell you all about it.

Time Squad is a Cartoon Network show that ran from June 2001 to November 2003 and lasted two seasons. It is set in the future in 100,000,000 A.D, and is about the adventures of three time cops who go back in time to stop history from being screwed up. First off, let's take a look at the characters.

Otto Osworth is an eight year old orphan from the 21st Century. He is a history genius and is "adopted" by the other main characters when he proves to be a big help as they are awfully incompetent. He isn't an official Time Squad member and though he is enthusiastic and competent, the others barely listen to him. If it wasn't for Otto, many of their missions would end in complete and utter failure. Despite all this, the others still care for him dearly.

Buck Tuddrussell is the buff, southern chief officer in Time Squad. Though he has the highest authority, he isn't a very good leader. Most of the time, he's selfish and narcissistic with poor hygiene. His catchphrase is "It's go time!", which he uses even when unnecessary. He is also a brute and will often beat up historical figures such as Confucius, Atilla the Hun, Eli Whitney, and the authors of the Declaration of Independence. He has an unhealthy obsession with weapons and keeps a prison above the satellite station which holds people such as Mahatma Ghandi and Blackbeard. Despite all his flaws, he is a father figure to Otto and cares about others, though he doesn't want to admit it.

Larry 3000 is a robot and the other official time squad member. He is known for being very feminine, enjoying things such as cooking, sewing, and figure skating though he also enjoys golf too. He resents Tuddrussell as the latter likes to force his will on others. Larry also is sensitive and just wants to be loved. He is also the only person who can work the Time Squad computer and time machine. Though he resents him, Larry cares for Tuddrussell and while he initially didn't care for Otto, he loves him like a son.

Time Squad has 26 episodes and are similar with unique differences. Some episodes they go on missions and some they don't. They must stop historical figures from changing history. Some, such as Ivan the Untrainable, are hilarious, and some, such as Every Poe Has a Silver Lining, are weird. Either way, every episode is remarkable in their own way.

Well, that's Time Squad for you. It doesn't rerun anymore, so if you want to check the show out, I suggest go to YouTube where it has it's own channel with every episode. That's about it. I thank you for reading and I'll see you next time. Goodbye!

I remember watching Time Squad a very long time ago. I only remember this one episode where they beat up a bunch of guys from the past or something. Otto wasn't there cause he was sick I think. - visitor
