Top 10 Cartoons that are Terrible and Overrated

The Top Ten
1 The Loud House The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around the chaotic suburban everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, to which he survives as the middle child and only son in a large family of eleven children. Originally set to premier on January 2016, the series instead premiered on May 2, 2016, with the episodes Left in the Dark and Get the Message.

The only reason people like the Loud House so much is because there have been so many crap shows on Nickelodeon recently (Breadwinners, Planet Sheen, Fanboy and Chum Chum), so when people see a show that's OKAY but not amazing ( such as the Loud House, Harvey Beaks and others) people overexaggerate and act like The Loud House is heir to the throne sheesh!

Why is this on the list? This is a good show for Nickelodeon. The characters are really likeable. The animation looks good. This should not be here.

I assume the big reason why people hate this show is that Chris Savino, the show's creator, being the showrunner for the last two seasons of Dexter's Laboratory and the Powerpuff Girls.

It might be terrible and overrated for you guys but not for me. Also, I respect opinions if you hate the show.

2 South Park South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado.

Lol are people calling bad because its almost as iconic that the simpsons and will always be more iconic than family guy?

So annoying to watch

3 Bob's Burgers Bob's Burgers is an American animated sitcom created by Loren Bouchard for The Fox Broadcasting Company. It premiered on January 9, 2011 and is still running as of 2022.

It's basically a Family Guy clone but worse...

A burger restaurant? Seriously?

Stupid cartoon.

4 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and pets, Snowball II and Santa's... read more

What's sad is, at one point this show actually deserved its praise. Now it doesn't, and this has been the case for TWENTY YEARS now.

Simpsons at their worst are still better than Family Guy.

5 Beavis and Butt-head Beavis and Butt-Head is an American animated sitcom created and designed by Mike Judge. The series originated from Frog Baseball, a 1992 short film by Judge originally aired on Liquid Television.

The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television show, 'Teen Titans'.

You would think with all this hate on Teen Titans Go! that it isn't overrated, but considering that it still has a massive fan base and even airs 159 TIMES A WEEK, that just goes to show you this show is nothing but an overrated cash grab that's holding back Cartoon Network!

This show is just downright awful to me but if you like it well I respect your opinion but I don't like this show it just has to many dirty jokes

The only reason why Cartoon Network hasn't, and never will, reach it's full potential: terrible reboots.

Overrated from their own network but not overrated enough to be higher.

7 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and exhibits much of its humor in the form of cutaway gags that often American culture. ...read more.

Yes it's overrated, but not as overrated as south park.

In my opinion this show should be number 1 on this list

Why Is Powerpuff Girls above this? This should be number one. Because it has one of the worst fandoms.

I'm very sure someone would add this here so I added it first. I love this show!

This show's cancer level is over 9000!

12 Harvey Beaks Harvey Beaks is an American animated television series created by C.H. Greenblatt for Nickelodeon. Originally announced to premiere on March 29, 2015, the series instead premiered on March 28, 2015 following the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards.

I honestly don't think it's as good as people say it is.

Forget What I Said About All Cartoons in This List

Including Mina and The Count

13 Dora the Explorer Dora the Explorer (2000 - 2019) is an American preschool educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner in which Dora goes on adventures with her friend, a monkey named Boots.

Everyone hates it.

14 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

Season 4 was terrible, seasons 1-2 were great and season 3 was just okay.

The show to me was always a mere wannabe DBZ.

Boring piece of trash

Whats good about this show I felt like the kkk tried to make a kids show but really this show is pointless and has no humor just gore shredding ripping out to bits at least familly has sum jokes to cover it up nothing good about this show even teen titans looks golden compared to this junk

16 Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Ben 10: Ultimate Alien is an American animated television series - the third entry in Cartoon Network's Ben 10 franchise created by team Man of Action.

Am I the only one who thinks this and Alien Force were decent? Though, I have to admit Ben Tennyson has gradually devolved as a character as they keep on rehashing the franchise over and over again...

I liked original Ben 10,so why just keep rebooting it? I kinda watched it too, but its too complicated and deep, less funny now!

All of them except for the reboot from 2016 were good. Omniverse was good, but the animation, dear god

I liked the first Ben 10 and Alien Force, but then Cartoon Network kept rebooting it

17 The Legend of Korra The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that aired on the Nickelodeon television network from 2012 to 2014. It was created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino as a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Seriously? I don't care if it's considered inferior or superior to its predecessor Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's still an amazing sequel that combines the right amount of action, humor, and dark and mature themes that you don't see in most cartoons these days! The only bad thing about it was how Nickelodeon failed to utilize it properly as a show.

This show was great!

18 The Powerpuff Girls (2016) The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains. This show has an anime spinoff made in Japan, three specials, a movie in theatres, and a reboot. The show aired from 1998 to 2005.

Cartoon Network, why don't you learn a lesson from Nickelodeon about how to do reboots or revivals right? At least Nickelodeon gave us a proper and well-executed installment of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Looking at Teen Titans Go! and The Powerpuff Girls 2016 reboot, all the executives that work at Cartoon Network should go sit in a corner and think about how much damage they've done to animation by only caring about pandering to kids just for the money and not thinking about putting quality into a well-structured animated series.

So terrible it gives the original one shame...

Very bad reboot

19 Fanboy and Chum Chum Fanboy & Chum Chum is an American 3D CGI animated television series created by Eric Robles for Nickelodeon. Horrible animation, dumb characters that aren't even funny, the sisters and the bullies are terrible characters. I am with PhantomStrider, this show is atrocious.

PhantomStrider hates this cartoon and put it pretty high on a list of cartoons that he hates and everyone else likes

Little boys laugh at this. But its really dumb just like the three Eds.

This show is one of the best cartoons ever!

21 What's New, Scooby-Doo? What's New, Scooby-Doo? is the ninth incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon franchise Scooby-Doo and originally ran from 2002- 2006. The theme song was created by the band Simple Plan.

Why are some of these cartoons on the list good? I get most of them are overrated, but shows like What's New, Scooby-Doo? aren't terrible by any means. It's my favorite installment in the franchise for its decent animation, Scooby and the gang being great as always, and loads of timeless comedy and mysteries.

Catchy theme song and probably the only Scooby Doo show that was really that good.

Used to be overrated but it's not as overrated so that's why it's not high.

Personally I think it is a little boring, but that's just my opinion.

22 Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Also called "Miraculous", "Miraculous Ladybug", "Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir", "Ladybug and Cat Noir" or simply "Ladybug" . It's a French show created by Thomas Astruc and Jeremy Zag, produced by Method Animation (by Zag) and SAMG Animation (in Korean version). I enjoy this show, but yeah, it is overrated, just like some magical girl anime. I don't mean this show is terrible. I honestly like the concepts of Miraculous holders, their Kwami, Akumas...
But its too childish. The chemistry between the two main characters, and the fight scene is pretty interesting to watch, but I think it's just a normal everyday magical girl anime, which mostly spends episodes always fighting.

23 Gravity Falls Gravity Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation that first aired on Disney Channel, and then on Disney XD from June 15, 2012 to February 15, 2016. Not overrated
