Some celebrities did certain things they were well known for & eventually sold out their roots for reasons. Both music artists & other types of celebrities.
The Top Ten
1 Jay Z Shawn Corey Carter, known by his stage name JAY-Z, is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur and investor born on December 4, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. He is best known for his albums Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album. He is considered to be one of the best rappers of all time.

He was among the greatest rappers in history until 1999, where he convicted assault toward Lance Un Rivera at the Kit Kat Klub at Times Square New York (which eventually went out of business & was a release party for Q-Tip’s album Amplified) & by stabbing her in the stomach, which led to him getting arrested. Eventually he was released with a $50K bail. When he was indicted in Manhattan Criminal Court in late January 2000, he pleaded not guilty, therefore he & his lawyers contended that they had witnesses & videos proving he was nowhere near Rivera during the incident. Nevertheless, he later pleaded guilty to 3rd-degree assault & accepted a 3-year probation sentence. Since then his music career fell downhill & he lost his status as being on the top list of the greatest rappers & singers of all time.

2 Nicki Minaj Onika Tanya Maraj, known professionally as Nicki Minaj (born December 8, 1982) is a Trinidadian/American rapper / pop music artist. Minaj is most known for her songs such as "Anaconda", "Super Bass", "Starships" and her feature on "Bang Bang". Despite her controversial songs, Brent Staples from "The New York Times" claimed her to be 'the most influential female rapper of all time', presumably distinctive for her fast flow and her use of alter egos with Cockney accent. She has endorsed Adidas, MAC Cosmetics and Pepsi. Minaj has received ten Grammy-nominations throughout her career, and has won multiple awards including the Billboard's Women in Music 2011 Rising Star award.

Formerly known as the queen of hip-hop/rap (until Iggy Azalea thanks to her song Fancy ft. Charli XCX), yet she released good songs back then such as Super Bass, Starships, Pound the Alarm, Turn Me Up, Voom Voom, but then with the release of her album Pink Friday, she released her “song” Stupid H, which was a huge decline in quality. Her later album Pinkprint took a spin for the worst, where she released Anaconda & her whole career went downhill toward rock bottom. She was criticized for her song & every song since then was complete garbage. She hasn’t made any more classic songs after those days.

3 Kanye West Ye (born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and fashion designer. He is regarded as one of the most influential, as well as controversial, artists of the 21st century. ...read more.

He was somewhat of a problem back in the days, but with album releases like Yeezus (an mock toward Jesus), he acted more narcissistic, yet racist towards Africans. Yet nowadays he’s more in for money & sales than anything else. He even set up outdoor fashion shows for black models with black uniforms in 90+ degree weather for 3 hours, which's harm as that causes heat exhaustion & heatstroke (which's dangerous) & slavery toward models. Yet he no longer cares about fans or stuff & wants the money instead of support.

I was more talking about the decline in the quality of his music.

Kanye to me seems to have a far more obvious decline in quality than Jay Z or Nicki Minaj.

Once known to be a good role model for kids during Hannah Montana, took a turn for her worst after she ended it. She eventually released her song Wrecking Ball & while that sounded like her best realistic song, the music video on YouTube took the wrong approach. She rode a wrecking ball naked & made everyone rethink not only the song, but her in general. Yet she recently twerked onstage with a Canadian flag (which led to getting arrested). Plus she smoked marijuana & took drugs over the recent years (which led to serious vocal cord damage that required surgery that prevented her from talking for a month+). Apparently though with the surgery & the release of her 2020 single Midnight Sky, she learned her lesson.

I know she’s not necessarily always bad (yet she still makes excellent songs), but she was once known for doing country pop & her early songs were golden, but in 2014, she debuted her album 1989 (with her big single Shake It Off), which was the end of her country pop career & she moved onto mainstream pop with the release of Reputation (where she started doing diss tracks like Look What You Made Me Do, Ready for it, etc) & she never did country again. Her latest album Folklore was historic & her most peaceful yet (plus the only album to debut #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 & 200 within the same week) but she isn’t country anymore.

7 Kylie Jenner Kylie Kristen Jenner is an American reality television personality, model, entrepreneur, socialite, and social media personality.

Nowadays the Fred channel’s been inactive from everyone from 2016 to this day.

Known for playing on Jessie. She was a decent star & then after it ended, she moved onto being a part of Radio Rebel with some upbeat pop songs. Then at 1 point she was arrested (though later bailed) & she just fell from relevance.

It was another day in the life- watching vines before I had to go to school and talk to my friends about what I watched. I never laughed, and was actually more confused, as I was just a kid who didn't understand what love was.

She made funny videos on Vine, Instagram & YouTube until the interest in her Playboy history & revelation took place. She eventually drove her out of the ordinary & now she rarely posts on YouTube & is part of a weird world.

And I just now learned that she is Playboy's Miss October 2011. Great- so I was watching a Playmate as a kid.

She was originally a Christian artist, but then she moved onto mainstream pop music in 2009. In 2017 however, her music took a dark path on the roads. She started making her songs more sexually explicit & vulgar (like Peacock, Bon Appetit, your So Gay, etc) & basically switched places with the dark form of Miley Cyrus. Fortunately she redeemed with good songs & is back in the light (though she’s still mainstream).

Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide.

He was among the most innocent rappers back then until towards the 2010’s & then he started making music with more explicit lyrics. Yet some of his songs & albums took him toward a decline & he really declined after his collaboration with Drake (who also declined). Now lately he’s become the fastest rapper of all time in his song Godzilla (in which the monologue describes what he is nowadays).

She became famous for playing Megan Parker on Drake & Josh & even more so as Carly Shay from iCarly (both on Nickelodeon). Drake & Josh ran over 3 years while iCarly ran over 5.25 years with 6 seasons & 97 episodes (too bad it didn't air 100 episodes despite having 100 episodes produced). It was the longest running live action sitcom on Nickelodeon unfortunately until Henry Danger (which had a whopping 121 episodes) which wasn't nearly as good. She decided to end the show to move to acting college for future roles, but her path after that didn't turn out well. It turned out she didn't make entirely though & is now someone we used to know.

He was an artist who not only made pop songs, but EDM (electronic dance music) from 2010 to 2012. However his fame eventually took him toward a downward spiral & he made poor decisions including flipping off passengers during a flight to 1 of his concerts, performing DUI at a drag race (leading to his 1st arrest), kicking a cast member dressed up as Mickey Mouse at Disneyland in the private area (getting him banned from Disney property for life), showing his private area at a Mexican temple (leading to his 2nd arrest) & even punching a fan in the face. Yet even his music turned downhill with no quality or purpose other than to cause shock value with drama over boyfriend relationships & promote sales for money. He became greedy & narcissistic. Thankfully with the release of Sorry (his most popular song now) in 2019. he redeemed, but his music is nothing but trap beats & dark lyrics (no offense Beliebers).
