The Top Ten

1 Michael Jackson Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, dancer, and songwriter born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana and passed away on June 25, 2009. Michael Jackson had a... poor relationship with his father. Joseph Jackson was too driven by success for his children that all of them were uncomfortable during their late-teen years, and Michael was no exception. The King of Pop stated that he had "no childhood" as he was pushed into the music industry by his father at a very early age. Like his siblings, Michael would be abused by his father and he was unable to partake in any interests that were outside the Jackson Family business.

The relationship between Michael and his father was also a reason why the singer converted his house into a private amusement park much later on. Up until his death, Michael still had an uneasy relationship with his father.

How was he ruined?

As acclaimed and successful as he was, his personal life was a train-wreck and his father has a domineering mentality that has emotionally harmed his children for decades. Regardless if Michael is one of the most successful musicians ever, emotional scars (especially if paternal/maternal) are not easy to get by). Also, Michael was forced into the music industry, despite having great talent.

The face of Home Alone had his father Kit Culkin as his film manager. The results were particularly ugly on Macaulay's part. Kit was the sole reason why Macaulay was in The Good Son to begin with, and that was because he threatened Macaulay to withdraw his role from Home Alone 2. That, and because his father was incredibly domineering resulted in Macaulay becoming exasperated and drained in appearing in various failed films, ultimately leading to the young actor's retirement from film at age 14.

Since then, Macaulay's relationship with his father has been estranged and the aren't on speaking terms. On a further note, Home Alone director Chris Columbus was also frustrated in working with Kit, to the point where he ensued that there were no child actors with a Stage Parent during the pre-production of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Really just any child actor deserves to be on this list

Corey was forced into acting by his parents at age 3. He was restricted to only reciting and memorizing his lines for films in which he appeared in and he had a close relationship with his parents, the latter having explicitly stated that they never loved him. Made worse in that Corey was the only member of the family who was earning money.

Corey Feldman was extremely jealous of Corey Haim, regarding his success in Hollywood, but, he was also jealous of the fact that Haim had a loving relationship with his parents, whereas his own ones were cruel to him.

He was forced into acting at 3, took drugs and alcohol at 13/14 and he was sexually abused at 14/15, I can’t believe it. He deserved so much better
