Best Characters that Could Fit Into DC
Like Marvel, DC had established a very rich and diverse atlas for its continuities since the 1930s. While it's cast of heroes and villains are nearly unprecedented, there is always room to implement more.Which characters from other forms of media do you think could mesh in well into the DC Universe?
Chulthu is a very interesting choice. Him and most of Lovecraft's mythology can work out well with DC lore, considering much of the emphasis on Gods. I can see Cthulhu being a part of the Old Gods or a precursor, representing insanity and gloom. Chulthu could definitely be universal threat, something which the Justice League could have real difficulty dealing with.
Wesker would do really well as a DC villain. Being a genius in his own right, he could wind up being a villain for Batman or The Flash. I also see Wesker as being a horror equivalent to Vandal Savage, minus the immortality, biding his time before making a move. He can also serve as a foil to the Joker, considering the nature of his villainy.
I can see Beerus being a New God similar to Darkseid, except not evil. Beers can fill up a role carried out by Galactus in Marvel, by destroying planets as a natural part of order in life. He could also prove himself to be a tough competitor against Superman should he decide to destroy Earth. Also, Beerus Vs Superman, who doesn't want to see that?
Yes, there is Static Shock and Black Lightning, but Cole MacGrath is unique in his own right. Given the presence of metahumans in the DC universe, Cole could be one of the most powerful individuals on Earth, on par with The Flash, Aquaman and Wonder Woman. If he is good, he could be a Justice League member. If evil, he might wind up as an opponent for The Flash and a member of a supervision team. There's so much to work on with Cole on this.
Also, the inFamous 2 comics were published by DC.
DC is no stranger to supernatural elements, which is why I think Jason could fit in well. He could serve as a foe towards John Constantine and does share some similarities with Doomsday, namely the fact that he's unstoppable and will kill anyone in his way. Although due to the tragic nature of his current state, he can be an anti-villain of sorts.
Like Jason, Freddy could serve as an antagonist towards magic users like John Constantine. Being pure evil, Freddy can fill up a role occupied by Victor Zsazsa as he is a serial killer himself, in addition to having supernatural powers. That, and Batman could also find himself getting troubled by Freddy Krueger at times.
I could see Madoka as being either a cosmic being or a New God due to her status as a goddess. Madoka could have a series of her own, exploring the struggles she undergoes due to her immense power, resulting in her seeking council from experienced magicians like Zatanna, Constantine and Doctor Date and wiser being like Superman. I can also see Madoka as a complete opposite and even an archenemy for Darkseid, a being of pure evil and hate.
I could also see Kyubei working as a villainous cosmic entity for DC as well.
Ben can work in a similar vein to the Green Lantern Corps, being able to transform into different aliens to fight against threats. That, and I can definitely see Ben as a member of the Teen Titans and beings friends with Beast Boy,whom also has similar abilities.
Eleven's mysterious origins and powers could work out well with the metahuman mythos present in DC. She does have an interesting character arc and she can seek out mentoring from experienced metahumans like The Flash. Oh, and she'd make a great member for the Teen Titans.
Akame and the Night Raid could serve as a heroic foil to the League of Assassin's and Deathstroke from what I could see and considering they also focus on political threats, I could see her and her team having a go at Lex Author as well. Akame could also serve as a rival to Katana, who also is a proficient sword user, which can give off an interesting relationship.
