Top 10 Childhood Fears
I’m not lying but that is how schools used to discipline us in the 2000s locked us in the dark room until we cried and screamed let me out I am sorry!
I used to hate the dark as a little kid, now the effect flopped, one shining light in my room I tend to stay away from.
Yeah sometimes I run to my bed when I turn the bedroom light off
I'm still afraid of the dark, but not as much as last year.
I used to have reoccurring dreams where monsters came out of the TV and tried to capture me. Sometimes I would even freeze or be unable to scream for help. Then I would wake up bawling. I still remember the night my grandma straight up told me that monsters weren’t real, and I was still too much of a wimp to turn off the TV at night because my dumbass was convinced there were monsters living inside it.
Fortunately this never happened and I didn't have a fear of these either The Boogyman, Clowns, Vampires (Twilight was after my childhood it was non existent in the 90s), Zombies, Frankenstein's Monster, Dolls, Spiders (I watched a cartoon called Spider: I'm only scary because I'm hairy), Teletubbies, Cartman and Barney The Dinosaur.
I always had dreams of Batman and Spider-Man hiding in my wardrobe.
It's the same as fearing the dark. You don't know what's out there
A monster that stalks children sleeping in their beds waiting to eat them for snacks.
My brother always said this: the boogyman is gonna get you
Because of the parents, again
I AM THE BOOGEYMAN AND I AM COMING TO GET YA!

Sharks are one of the reasons why I don't like oceans. Have you seen the goblin shark? No thank you.
And all because the parents showed them Jaws.
When I was very young, I never used to be scared of clowns. In fact, I would always want to run up to one whenever I saw one. However, then I watched It. While it didn't scare me enough, it made me think twice before encountering a clown. Then I heard on the news that a psychotic killer was on the loose disguised as a clown, I became paranoid of clowns around me, in fear he was going to be the killer and kill me, my friends and family. To this day, I still think twice before encountering a clown.
Clowns never scared me for some reason. Sure there were creepy clowns like IT but it never scared me.
I watched It when I was 5. I have never felt the same way about clowns again...
I still don't like clowns. They are just weird.
I sometimes wish I was a vampire
What's there to fear?

I come from a country that's believed vampired are from, and I never feared them,I actually wanted to be one lol
I've had enough nightmares about zombies.
I always thought I heard screaming in there, to the point of my imagination picturing a dead girl ready to pull me under and drown me as she stares into my soul.
Because of everything your parents tell you about not going there
My brother almost drowned
I love deep water!
One time I was eating pizza at the school yard and this dog jumped up and bit it out of my hand, making a wound in my finger as he did it, by the way this was on the school park where there are no dogs allowed, and then the owner came over and got mad at ME! I still love dogs though
I remember being scared to go to my uncle’s house because his pitbull would get excited and start jumping up on you whenever you came in the door. I knew she wasn’t trying to hurt me, and I was completely fine with her once she settled down. It was just intimidating for me being a 5 year old kid.
When I was 2 my aunt had a dog that tried to bite me. When I was 23 I visited my aunt again and she got another dog who also tried to bite me AGAIN...TWICE!
I now no longer trust any dogs that she owns because of my experiences.
I've been bitten in the face by dogs, and one of them completely split my bottom lip open which resulted in me getting stitches. I've also had bad times whenever I own one, and now my dad hates dogs

But why? Oh I Know because they (my old Barbie dolls that I locked away! ) almost tried/attempted to kill me!
They are the reason why I keep stuffed animals instead of dolls.
That word is scary!
I feak out so badly with there fixed stares
Just the thought of lying casually in your bed and suddenly a spider crawls up to your neck is enough to prove you're scared of spiders.

As an Asian, I grew up watching TVB programs with my family. When I was a toddler till about early elementary school-aged, the music from the TVBI logo (especially the rumbling sound at the end) would frighten me. I had to run and hide whenever the logo came on.
The THX logo didn’t scare me that much, but can kind of see why other people didn’t like it.
