Cities With the Best Sports Fans

The Top Ten

Boston Boston is Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Founded in 1630, it’s one of the oldest cities in the U.S.

Boston has an amazing history of sports that is entirely ingrained in the culture. In no other city will you see about such a widespread support of a team in the off season. You can hear a Yankees Suck chant break out in the middle of a Celtics game. For proof, just look at the costuming of The Departed. If anything, the amount of Red Sox hats in a given room is an underestimate.

Boston has true fans as do Chicago too. Whenever the Celtics play the Bulls it is an intense rivalry however it is respected. Saying they are true fans brings me to mention New York. Too many band-wagon fans that know nothing about the Yankees but still represent the team by wearing their hat. If you hate New England Fans, think first; in baseball, we hate the Yankees; in basketball we hate the Lakers (and Heat cause of Ray... Smh); in hockey we hate the Canadians; and in football... Well we don't like many teams but mostly the Giants.

Boston fans are the best and the worst. I am a Boston sports fan and I admit we are a little spoiled. When the patriots lost to the dolphins we were all saying, " they suck." We are so used to our teams winning that it has spoiled us, but has also made us obsessed with them winning, which makes us the best fans.

By far the most loyal, die-hard fans in the country. There are no bandwagon Boston Sports fans, once you put on the Celtic green or throw on a red sox cap, you're in it for life. Boston sports personify hustle, passion, pride, and never giving up. No city comes close.

Chicago Chicago, officially the City of Chicago, is the third-most populous city in the United States. With over 2.7 million residents, it is also the most populous city in both the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States. Chicago is considered one of the most important business centers in the world. more.

Chicagoans probly care more about their favorite sports team than they care about their jobs. Well except for cubs fans. They just go to wrigley and get drunk. That's probly cause they're still depressed about some goat and poor Steve Bartman, who I think moved to Florida and became like a hero or something there. Bears and Chisox fans most passionate.

Chicago has TERRIBLE fans! Bears fans called Jay Cutler a quitter when he got a serious injury in the 2010 NFC Championship. And the Blackhawks fans literally refused to go to games just because they were bad. Players even had to give out free tickets. But then they became good and started selling out.

My hometown. We have the BEST sports fans in the WORLD. Go bears, white sox, bulls, fire, rush, blackhawks! I hate the cubs cause I'm from the south side but I do have to say the cubs have the most loyal fans in america. Every game is a sell-out. Go Chi-town.

The bears...the cubs...the hawks...the bulls...the fire..oh ya and that guy Jordan was pretty good too huh

Denver & Cleveland are my two favorite cities but Cleveland fans are some of the most loyal fans you will find. I have family in Ohio and they are always wearing there Indians' or Browns' jerseys. It doesn't matter if they go 0-16 or lose the World Series, they won't leave Cleveland.

104 years with no championships(MLB. NFL, NBA) no other city can match that in the USA. we come, we cheer, we wait. WHEN does the suffering end?

Great fan turnout with poor team results. Owners and management should be ashamed to have Cleveland fans.

Fans show up despite the fact they haven't won jack in over 60 years.

Green Bay

Packers have an amazing fan base. They're the only team in all of Major North American Sports to be owned by the fans. Also, the Packers have sold out every single home game since 1960. That's 80,000 fans a game from a city with a population of only 100,000. Also their season ticket waiting list is over 110,000 people. If you get on the list, you surely wont get season tickets in your lifetime.

The Green Bay Packers are simply the best sports franchise on the face of the Earth. Owned by its fans. No other organization can say this. How much closer can you get to your team?

Anybody that goes to Lambeau Field is the best sports fan ever!

The whole population of Green Bay can fit inside the Stadium, and we're still good. Need I say more?

Philadelphia Philadelphia is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the sixth-most populous city in the United States, with an estimated population of 1,567,872 and more than 6 million in the seventh-largest metropolitan statistical area, as of 2016. Philadelphia is the economic and cultural anchor more.

Passions, you want passionate fans? This is Philly. Hated by others for the exact reason that makes them the best sports fans in the world. Philadelphia fans will be there for their teams regardless of their record-- when good they'll cheer, when bad they'll boo. These fans are an extension of their team. They're real.

We have smart and genuine opinions. Fans are educated and honest. The city is a big family. No other major U S city has such a sense of community. Sports fans meet one another outside of the region and we feel like family. We are truly the most loving, passionate fans!

Most philly teams are not that good yet they still sell out games almost every time, you got to hand it to them, they are loyal as hell.

The most passionate fans that root for their team win or loose. Boston Did not even recognize the Patriots until Tom Brady.

New York

In no other city is a fan so hard in their players because we want them to do well so bad. The Yankees have spoiled us the last 17/18 years but man, the day the Knicks win their 1st chip in 40 years will be a day I never forget. The Rangers have won 1 Stanley Cup in the last 73 years, but we still stick with them every year because they're our teams. No city cares more about sports than we do... And I'd bet on that. LET'S GO YANKEES KNICKS RANGERS!

Yankees suck I am so lucky to be a Boston fan Knicks suck yanks suck nets suck rangers are ok giants suck jets suck mets are really good islanders suck Boston teams rule

We have the best fanbase. If you go to a giants, jets, Yankees, Knicks, etc game dealing with New York, you can see we want our team to win. I went to a Knicks game a few months ago and they sucked this year, but you could see that we wanted them to win. They lost".

Detroit Detroit is the largest and most populous city in the U.S. state of Michigan. Located across from Windsor, Ontario, Canada on the Detroit River, Detroit had an estimated population of 672,662 in 2018.

Detroit fans are the best in the world! We're blue-collar, hard working people, and we expect our sports teams to be the same. We're extremely loyal and dedicated to our teams! If you haven't been to a game in Detroit, surrounded by all the fans, you haven't been to a real game.

Should be number one honestly....Four Major Sports Three Competitive. (hockey town) biggest college football stadium (ann arbor)

tigers, wings, pistons and lions rock

All 4 teams have experienced success, (Lions: BEFORE the Super Bowl) and our fans have always been there to root them on, especially in hockey (Hockeytown)

Pittsburgh fans are some of the most dedicated fans in the country. Their loyalty to the teams is extreme. Anywhere a Pitt teams goes there is still so much support behind them in the stadiums.

Pittsburgh is simply the best. We support all of our pro teams and semi pro and minor league teams. To other cities we are often hated but when you are hated it normaly means you are the best

Pittsburg is easily the best sports city in the world let alone fans. Anywhere the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates play half the stadium us filled with Pitt fans.

I am a Boston fan but Pittsburgh is pretty good I means steelers have 6 rings pirates last year where 2nd best and pens won Stanley cup this year

Toronto Toronto is the most populous city in Canada, the provincial capital of Ontario, and the centre of the Greater Toronto Area, the most populous metropolitan area in Canada.

There teams are consistently terrible and never make the post season. Yet, they are still die hard to the end and will defend their teams honor

Seattle Seattle is a seaport city on the west coast of the United States. It is the seat of King County, Washington.

Easy to root for your team when they're winning, but much harder when the chips are down. Seattle fans pass the loyalty test! Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders, Storm, PLUS all the transplants who remain classy when their home teams come to town!

If you're basing off loyalty... Seattle wins by a land slide. Mariners don't get as much loyalty for some reason, I agree that I'm not that into them, even when they were pretty good. But sonics, sounders, storm, and seahawks fans, gone through some tuff times. Even when they're doing bad, hawks and all them, tickets get sold out quick, AND NOW WE WON THE SUPER BOWL HAHAAHAA #Winning #HawkDynasty #HAHA #FINALLY

Hawks, Mariners, Sounders 4 LIFE!

With the fields so close to downtown and huskie stadium within walking distance. Seattle is the best!

Kansas City

The Chiefs and Royals fanbases are some of the most passionate fans around just like imagine waiting so long for a Super Bowl and World Series supporting the Chiefs and Royals through thick and thin. It’s been rough at times but we remain loyal

This is a stupid poll. Of course the cities with more people are going to win. They have more people to vote.

Royals. 800,000 people at a parade! Chiefs!, Sporting KC! Even something for the NASCAR enthusiast. Great college basketball in and around town, not to mention the Big12 and NAIA tourneys and the College Basketball HOF. The amazing Negro League Baseball Museum. Next year the National Championships of skating and probably another World Series championship. We could go on and on...

Istanbul Istanbul, formerly known as Byzantium and Constantinople, is the most populous city in Turkey and the country's economic, cultural and historic center.

Its like a bad joke. American sports fans are sitting all the game. Have you ever watched a Besiktas match we have world record 131 db. The english fans were shocked and they were recording videos. In Istanbul if you sit you can't watch the match because 40.000 people stands and shouts. America thinks being a good fan is waving hands while shooting a free throw...

Buffalo Buffalo is the second largest city in the U.S. state of New York and the largest city in Western New York.

Granted it's one of the smallest markets in all of sports, but anybody who grew up with the Sabres or the Bills will tell you that it's more than just a part of our culture. Those teams are a part of our soul.

Bills Football, Sabres Hockey, Buffalo U athletics, Bandits Lacrosse, Bisons Baseball you gotta give B-LO some respect

Gritty, Tough, Never give up after all these years.

Los Angeles

16 championships. That is all

true fans who undergo assault for supporting their teams and have less money to be spending on games

Come on, we overpower all the other cities in the Sports that we can afford. We may not be rich, but we still show amazing support.

Per Capita, Baltimore has the most and the best sports fans anywhere... We love our birds!

Navy > Army

Montreal Montreal is the most populous municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec and the second-most populous municipality in Canada. Originally called Ville-Marie, it is named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill in the heart of the city. The city is centred on the Island of Montreal, which took more.

How can they not be higher. Quite possibly the most devoted fans in North America. I've seen riots after them being eliminated from the playoffs, I've also seen riots because they've won

We are the home of hockey

New Orleans

I can't believe I had to add this to the list. Y'all don't even know. Just stop. Have you ever been here? Between GA Tech, the Bulldogs, Alabama, Florida, and Florida State, if you know what football is and you are from America, you have a team and you don't give up on them (trust me, I know. The Bulldogs kind of suck. But loyalty is loyalty)

Bolts fans are very loyal. You just gotta visit the place.
