Top 10 Cities In the United States With the Worst Drivers

The Top Ten
1 New York The City of New York, often called New York City or simply New York, is the most populous city in the United States. New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States.

When you get in a taxi, all I have to say is, "Hang on!"

Why drive in New York City when you can take advantage of great public transportation and walking?

2 Miami Miami, officially the City of Miami, is the cultural, economic and financial center of South Florida. Miami is the seat of Miami-Dade County, the most populous county in Florida.
3 Boston Boston is Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Founded in 1630, it’s one of the oldest cities in the U.S.

I agree with this 100%! Getting off highways, I've observed many accidents because people are going too fast, either in bad weather or even in sunshine. I can't even count how many times I've exited the highway and seen a crushed-up car or one upside-down.

If New York driving is like Mad Max, Boston driving is like The Purge.

4 Atlanta Atlanta is the capital and most populous city in the U.S. state of Georgia. With an estimated 2017 population of 486,290, it is also the 38th most-populous city in the United States.

Atlanta is trying to position itself as a major city in the South. It's fine, but it's just overrated and nothing that special. It's super crowded, full of traffic, and doesn't really feel Southern at all. It's filled with rude people from the North.

Nothing could possibly be worse than Atlanta. I've never seen anything like it. Drivers are unable to stay in their lanes. They just meander across lines at high speeds, and not a day goes by without a major incident. Additionally, the police love to shut down the roads.

The unfinished construction at 400 and 285 is a joke that seems like it will never be completed. It's as though they started with no idea how to finish. The Georgia Department of Transportation should issue checks to every driver for the immense waste of time on a daily basis.

5 Memphis Memphis is a city located along the Mississippi River in southwestern Shelby County, Tennessee, United States.

I always found it funny how in Memphis, people drive in the fast lane but at the last second, cut across four lanes of traffic to exit the highway.

6 Orlando
7 Baltimore
8 Las Vegas Las Vegas, officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populated city in the United States, the most populated city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County.

Most everyone drives in the left lane. If you want to pass, you have to move to the right lane. Just hope nobody pulls out in front of you. Also, many pedestrians are killed here, but it is mostly their fault.

9 Washington DC

Worst gridlock in our beloved nation. The people there jump from lane to lane on the freeway.

10 Richmond

They're like snails on the highway.

The Contenders
11 Jacksonville
12 Providence

It's everywhere in this tiny state.

Bad East Coast drivers, too aggressive, and Providence has rough areas.

13 Detroit Detroit is the largest and most populous city in the U.S. state of Michigan. Located across from Windsor, Ontario, Canada on the Detroit River, Detroit had an estimated population of 672,662 in 2018.
14 Los Angeles Los Angeles, officially the City of Los Angeles and often abbreviated as L.A., is the largest city in California. It has an estimated population of nearly 4 million, and is the second-largest city in the United States, after New York City, and the third-largest city in North America, after Mexico City... read more
