31 Plymouth

A no-brainer. Plymouth is a wonderful city that has so many new buildings and services that are coming soon, with a real sense of community. It has a reputation for being rough as hell, but since the 1990s Plymouth has shaken any horrible stuff off itself and is now becoming a really nice place to live or go on holiday. Do not miss the Barbican or Plymouth Hoe, where you'll see famous attractions, beautiful Elizabethan areas and brilliant sea views. In the city centre, there have recently been booms in shopping - some are quirky independent stores in the Bohemian West End, or up at the top of town there are the major mainstream brands that everyone shops at these days. Do not be put off by any negative things said about Plymouth, because while it may have used to be that way, it has since changed that.

Lovely City! I live here

35 Middlesbrough

Beautiful place

Midlesbrough is the best!

36 Derby
37 Solihull

I lived in this city from 2010 to 2014 and I liked it a lot. I am a Swiss/German and did not know what to expect when I got told by my parents we were moving. Whilst nearby Birmingham is not too nice, Solihull is lovely. Low crime rate, wealthy, good transportation and many nice people.

38 Northampton
39 Londonderry

The second city of Northern Ireland and also the best. Has some of the best, most friendly and humurous people in the UK and is the most accepting cities to diversity, UK City of Culture 2013!

40 Bradford

Good city, has the national media museum, and alhambra
