Some great 'Hits' from the Golden Age. Hundreds to pick from so decided to include a few familiar ones and a few maybe not so familiar or forgotten ones....
The Top Ten
1 See Emily Play - Pink Floyd

Syd Barret RIP - Thanks for some of the most amazing music ever... and for forging the Floyd sound!

- Unreleased but included on the Compilation alnum Relics

2 Today - Jefferson Airplane
3 San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers In Your Hair) - Scott McKenzie
4 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain - Ten Years After
5 Dear Mr. Fantasy - Traffic

In as much as I posted this list, Surrealistic Pillow is my Favourite Album, period! Traffic and Stevie Windwood stand out. Mr. Fantasy is one of any number of Traffic Songs from this era that could have graced this list and Mr. Windwood plays it still if anything with even more soul than he did back then!

One of the greatest songs ever. Steve Winwood is incredible.

6 L.S.D. - The Pretty Things
7 Keep Your Mind Open - Kaleidoscope
8 Pictures of Matchstick Men - Status Quo

An awesome melody and a great text - Pictures Of Matchstick Men has to be the number one of this ranking.

9 White Bird - It's a Beautiful Day

Here's something a bit special - Never realised they re-formed... True Psychedelic Masterpiece

10 The Tale of Taliesin - Soft Machine

Canterbury Sound contribution to this list - mainly progressive/Acid Jazz instrumental but one of the best contributors to the British psychedelic sound

The Contenders
