Top 10 Best Classic Rock Bands of the 1960s-1990s

Well considering how I made a Modern rock list time for a classic rock list. Here are my only rules. 1.Band is not metal. 2. Band has been around before the 2000's. Lastly 3. Band is still great.4. Band is not a Modern rock band. Also please learn the differences between Rock & Metal before you submit entries to this list. Other than that submit any classic rock entries you want. You will not see Modern rock entries like, Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia, Seether and more.

I've heard exactly none of any of Queen's songs (except kind of Under Pressure) but that is an absolutely fabulous logo.

3 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin was an English hard rock band formed in London in 1968 as the New Yardbirds. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums) and was very much the child of Jimmy Page who even financed their first tour. He had tasted some previous success with The [original] Yardbirds and was friendly with some big names in rock. It makes me sad that these legends aren't even in the top 15! When someone says classic rock, most people will think of something like Led Zeppelin or Stairway to Heaven.

I love heart and led Zep but get the guitar hero players off the list and then this could be credible.

Dude, AC/DC and Queen are hard rock bands, not classic rock. Nirvana is grunge - a subgenre of punk (nowhere near classic rock).

8 The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. Personally, I think The Beatles are better, but they shouldn't be this far down on the list! No. 9?! I mean, come on!

More of a Beatles guy, but they need to be in the top 3. Let it Vleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main Street are all very solid albums.
