Top 10 Comic Strips from the 70s, 80s and 90s That Don't Have a TV Series and Deserve One

I'm sure there are plenty of Comic Strips out there without their own Television Series, but now it's up to YOU to decide which Comic Strip (ex. Calvin and Hobbes) would deserve their own Cartoon Series.
The Top Ten
1 Calvin and Hobbes (Bill Watterson)

Considering how beautiful the artwork is in the comic strip, it would be breath taking to watch it animated. However, Bill Watterson has stated that he does not want Calvin and Hobbes to become a television show, as he is against the idea of merchandising. He has his reasons, and as fans we should respect his decision. After all, we don't want him taking the George Lucas route, do we?

I can see why people like this. But I would seriously cringe if I heard Hobbes' and Calvin's on screen. Plus, I actually think this strip would fail with motion. It flows so well as a strip it doesn't need motion.

2 FoxTrot (Bill Amend)
3 Big Nate (Lincoln Pierce)

It depends, you should make a show for the comic ones and a movie for the novel ones.

That would be good.

4 Cathy (Cathy Guisewite)
5 Red and Rover (Brian Basset)
6 Ziggy (Tom Wilson)
7 Cul de Sac (Comic Strip)
8 Tank McNamara (Jeff Millar and Bill Hinds)
9 Hagar the Horrible (Dik Browne)
10 Barney Google and Snuffy Smith (Billy DeBeck)
The Contenders
11 Bloom County (Berke Breathed)
12 Doonesbury (Garry Trudeau)
13 Pearls Before Swine (Stephan Pastis)
14 Get Fuzzy
