Top Ten Companies From Sweden
A week ago I made a list of famous foods from Sweden. So know I think I'll look at the best companies from Sweden. So with that being said, here's the list.Everyone knows about IKEA. Or at least everyone who knows about Sweden. This furniture company has become so iconic for Sweden it simply had to take the number #1 spot. I mean the colours of IKEA are the same as Sweden's flag as well. It has become so iconic is sweden memes and stuff it simply had to be first on the list.
I think almost everyone has at least heard something about Spotify. It has played such an important part in today's music culture as this this company created an app, with the same name which allows you to listen to music all over the internet. And you know how much this generation of kids love listening to music.
Everyone knows about Minecraft. At least the kids of this generation. Therefore Mojang is known, the company that created Minecraft in the first place, founded by swedish guy Markus Persson. Minecraft itself has become one of the most famous video games of all time so Mojang definitely takes a spot here.
Ericsson, in a nutshell, is kinda like the swedish equivelant of Nokia. They both create phones. Ericsson is after all a telecommunication company with their headquarters located in Kista, Stockholm. And it's quite known, although not too known among kids for some reason.
Sweden's most prominent car company. While I still highly prefer Toyota, Volvo is a generally cool car company as well with pretty good cars in my opinion. None of my parents own one, but some of my friend's parents own one and they're pretty comfortable for the most part.
This is probably, the most famous fashion company from Sweden. They're the king of fashion and clothes in Sweden. Everyone here has clothes from this company, and many swedish people have probably even visited a H&M store at one point. They're the king of swedish fashion.
I believe this is the biggest construction company in all of Sweden. I know it's the fifth largest in the world, and I think it's the biggest in Sweden as well. Skanska originally was called " Skånska Cementgjuteriet" (Scanian Cement Casting Ltd), as this company was founded in Malmö, Scania, you know, the southernmost province of Sweden.
Now we're getting into the more obscure swedish companies and Brio is certainly one of them, and one of my favourites. Not many people know of them, but for one they are famous for their toys. They for example created the brio railway toys, which are toys I still play occasionally to this day, even as a teenager. I mean I love them. They're an awesome company.
This is one of the few companies of Sweden that is not a private company, but rather owned by the state itself, and it's a power company that gives out electricity and power to all homes in Sweden, but also the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Electrolux is one of the biggest home appliance companies in the world, ranking at #2. The only bigger is Whirlpool in the US. It's thanks to Electrolux everyone in Sweden owns things like fridges, dishwashers, freezers, etc.
