2 Dave Mustaine David Scott "Dave" Mustaine (born September 13, 1961) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, actor and author. Mustaine is best known as a pioneer in Thrash Metal, being the former lead guitarist of Metallica before his dismissal in 1983, leading to finding and becoming the front man of his own more.

I think Mustaine is the coolest. He is opinionated and can be an ass. He is very confident and himself and makes a lot of media with his comments. He has a big ego and if you like that stuff like I do then he is the coolest. PLus he is by far the best guitar player of any metal singer. So he has a lot of coolness going for him

I don't know ... he's a great musician but I wouldn't call him 'cool' because he's very authoritarian. His dictatorship in Megadeth and his big Ego caused lots of conflicts and unwanted bandmembers changes. - Metal_Treasure

A kickass guitariat
A underrated vocalist
He's cooler than kerry king

He’s A Douche and Terrible at singing but his guitar playing is great - GreenDayFan21

Watch this, it's lots of fun: Tobias Sammet " Village boy looking for girl - Metal_Treasure

A guy who can write this is absolutely cool:

"I may like New York, Bavaria or Paris
But nothing compares to you, England
Cause England's got Steve Harris

England, I know
I may have explained it somewhere before
But I swear it wasn't my idea
To contrive that silly war
Okay, I've got to admit
This was, uhm, an improper try of a joke
But it rhymed and talking humour:
You've got to know I'm just anosser German bloke "

12 Matthew Barlow

A really cool guy.
He is one of the greatest metal singers but he left Iced Earth in 2003 because the September 11 terrorist attacks made him realize something. He wanted to contribute to the "real world" instead of living the illusion of a "rock star."

And Barlow became a police officer in the police department in Georgetown, Delaware.
He returned to music in 2007. - Metal_Treasure

One of the best metal singers the world today. He really deserves more fame. His high notes are amazing and he can sing pretty much anything. I've never heard a voice like this.

Definitely one of the coolest singers - extremely talented, smart and nice guy.

There's a movement in Finland 'Jarkko Ahola - Rock Musician with a Difference'. This appreciated both his God given voice and his amazing personality - he does lots of charity performances all over the country.

His band Teräsbetoni was elected (nation-wide voting) to represent Finland at the Eurovision International Song Contest 2008. This contest is not for metal songs but Finland sent a metal band to represent the country!

14 Kai Hansen Kai Michael Hansen is a heavy metal guitarist and vocalist. Hansen is the founder, lead guitarist, and vocalist of power metal band Gamma Ray. He is also the co-founder and former member of German metal band Helloween.

Very cool guy - there's something very special in his personality which makes me smile but also respect him.
He has been the backbone of the German metal since the 80s now. He is the guy who has been invited by all leading German bands as a guest musician (looks like they needed his blessing).

He still sings live with his ex-colleagues from Helloween, esp. Michael Kiske;
he sang with Blind Guardian (studio and live) and Edguy;
he had side projects with members of Primal Fear (where his ex-singer Ralf Scheepers currently sings), with Thomas Stauch from Blind Guardian, etc.

18 Louis Benjamin Falgoust II

Vocalist of Goatwhore. I was at a Goatwhore show a few weeks ago, and after the set, he stood on the stage for a few minutes shaking everyone's hands, and then he went down into the pit and started taking pictures. I read a joke somewhere: 'Hansi Kürsch is not only the best German singer - he is the ruler of Germany because he’s the only one who can make Germans sing German songs in English.'

LOL - so true though. At his shows everybody sings (in English). - Metal_Treasure
