Top Ten Coolest Sounding Musical Instruments

The Top Ten
1 Bass Guitar

Yes, if you really make something out of it. A lot of people think bass isn't important, bassists just pick 2 or 3 notes standing behind guitarists. But you can play bass guitar as a lead guitar too. Geddy Lee, Cliff Burton, Les Claypool etc.

Bass is the backbone of the band, take the bass out and it all sounds like crap. Thanks to Geddy Lee, Flea, Claypool, Cliff Burton and many more, the bass guitar has become more popular and in the spotlight. It’s groovy, fun to play, and I can not stress enough one of the MOST IMPORTANT instruments.

I love the deep sound the bass guitar makes, can get you dancing!

The deep sound

2 Electric Guitar The electric guitar is a type of guitar that unlike an acoustic guitar, is solid body instead of hollow. They use pickups and amps to produce sound that's audible from more than a few feet. They are mainly used in rock and metal music and in those genres are commonly the main instruments. A few notable electric guitarists are Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Jimi Hendrix, and Chuck Berry.

You can both create high pitch and low pitch sound through it.

So versatile, can be in any genre!

3 Piano The piano is a musical instrument played using a keyboard, which is a row of keys that the performer presses down or strikes with the fingers and thumbs of both hands.

Really really love the sound of the piano.

4 Harmonica The harmonica, also known as a French harp or mouth organ, is a free reed brass instrument used worldwide in many musical genres, notably in blues.

Especially if it's Blues, Rock or Country.

Sure. If it's Paul Butterfield.

A truly unique instrument.

11 Trumpet A trumpet is a blown musical instrument commonly used in classical and jazz ensembles. The trumpet group contains the instruments with the highest register in the brass family.

Badass instrument. It can be used for any style/genre of music, and can be melody, harmony, solo, or background. Incredible range and sound as well.

12 Upright Bass

I love the sound it makes!

I play the bassoon, it is difficult but it just take time and effort. Also if you can play it, or listen to it on YouTube, maybe you can agree

When people say that dog is a "man's best friend" I say cello is "man's best voice"

16 Flute The flute is a family of musical instruments in the woodwind group. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening.

It is a difficult instrument to learn

21 Keyboards

Who doesn't enjoy keyboard solos in metal?!

22 Minimoog
23 Harp The harp is a stringed musical instrument that has a number of individual strings running at an angle to its soundboard; the strings are plucked with the fingers.

Beautiful instrument, in both sound and looks. You don't even need experience for it to sound nice, though it is difficult to actually master more complex songs on it.

Harp is a humble intrument there are only like 1 to 5 harps in a orchestra but it sounds like heaven.
