But no artist is 100-percent original. The Beatles, Elvis, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones all owe a great debt to black blues and R&B artists who came before them. So people need to ease up on MJ for being inspired and borrowing a bit from other artists. Every artist borrows and is influenced by those who came before them. That's nothing new, and it's unfair to single out MJ for doing the same. And he never said he invented the Moonwalk. He just popularized the same way that Elvis popularized black music and brought it to the masses. Elvis was a very talented singer and performer, but he was a much bigger copycat than MJ ever was. And Elvis didn't invent anything; he just put a white face on a music style that was already present and brought it to a wider audience.

Well, we don't state that MJ copied someone but he wasn't 100% original too. He was inspired by Fred Astaire, Elvis Presley, James Brown and used their ideas too. Also, his Moonwalk move was stolen. It's well-known fact.
Do some research before defending unoriginal artist!
