Countries That Make the Best Cars

The Top Ten
1 Germany Germany was formally united in 1871 under the initiative of Bismarck with King Wilhelm of Prussia as emperor. The previous 'Holy Roman Empire', basically a continuation of the empire of Charlemagne/Karl der Grosse was dissolved in 1806.

Some territory was lost after World War 1 and a lot more after World War 2, basically started by Hitler's Nazi dictatorship. Then the Soviets kept their zone - the 'DDR', East Germany, separate with a wall through the middle of Berlin, until 1990 when the country was reunited. ...read more.

I love BMWs, and have adored them ever since high school. I will always get BMW God willing. The overall energy and feel of it while driving and the genius that is built into this machine is absolutely amazing! If you have not been in a BEEMER before, do test drive it for yourself and see. Hands down, German cars are absolutely the very best. I have driven Mercedes Benz too and it is a nice ride as well. Kudos to you Germany!

I think German Cars are very good, I love my parents Benz and I love my Volkswagen, I think German car brands are one of the best in the world if not the best, Very impressed with the build quality and the potential that this country puts into there car brands. This county definitely make the best brands in mu opinion

Volkswagen makes perfect cars that last long and beat Toyotas and other junky vehicles along the way. many car companies come from Germany including Mercedez Benz Audi BMW Volkswagen Porsche Gumpert etc etc. They make the best cars and there's nothing Japan can do about it. German cars have the best technology and reliability as well

Hands down the best of the best. Anyone who says otherwise is not being objective, reasoned or fair.
Germany is the only country that truly knows how to make a great car with absolute ease. People who think otherwise are in denial and delusional.

2 Italy Italy (Italian: Repubblica Italiana) is a sovereign state and unitary parliamentary republic in south-central Europe.

Most of the comments in the German votes are about making fun of the Italian ones. Maybe they are jealous? All cars today are the same, the reliability is just a stereotype, Italian cars are just the best in the world together with Japan. German cars are just a joke lol

There can't be country with better cars than this one they include all the Lamborghini types there's Venono, Aventador, Gallardo. Another car is Alfa Romeo, Buggati Chiron, Buggati Veyron, Maserati, Ferrari, Fiat. There's no country like Italy

If you have money to throw away and need a car to fuel your inefficiencies as a man - buy yourself an Italian made super car to boost your low self esteem and ego.

Most people who vote for Italy and Germany are easily impressed kids who only care about speed and good looks in a car. Well, I am a big fan of German cars as well but there are a few factors that should be taken into consideration while valuing a car :

- Looks : While the appreciation of a car's looks is related to personal taste, you can't deny that some of the cars made in Japan such as the Mitsubishi Lancer, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima are just gorgeous.

- Reliability : Now we're talking facts. History has proven that Japan makes the most durable cars. Even the least reliable Japanese car (possibly Suzuki) is undeniably durable. German cars are known to have some problems mechanically that can cost a lot to fix. Italian cars are just made for speed and can be really annoying if you don't have enough money / time to spend on them every once in a while.

- Variety : There is just so much variety in the cars made in Japan. You can pick a small hatchback car such as the ...more

This country is free and crazy with their cars. They make the best sports cars. A supercar for the price of an SUV and have invented some of the most popular car types. Subaru invented the SUV. After all they are an off road focused marque. And Nissan invented the crossover. They still dominate it. Honda invented hybrid cars. And Toyota made those hybrids become a thing.

I really badly dislike Japanese cars. They keep getting caught for having faulty brakes, airbags and even the speedometer! Also they last a while but they give no warning when something happens. They also lose a lot of battery power and that's why you have to call the RAC all the time.

We talk reliable and dependable cars Japan goes to top far.. Lexus Toyota Subaru Honda and Mazda... behind Nissan and Mitsubishi not that good looking like Italian or Germans cars but reliable.

4 England England, previously the Kingdom of England, is a constituent country of the United Kingdom along with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. ...read more.

The British can't be beat in styling. Let's take Bentley for example. They happen to know how to make an elegant, sporty, off road/AWD and powerful car that can be bought used for under $100,000. That is a darn good package! The Range Rover Sport is absolutely stunning (and can tackle the Nurburgring), and they have so many more elegant an unique cars in which other countries (including Germany) just don't compare in.

I can't believe that England lost the revolutionary war to America.
Not to mention that they begged us to help them during WW2! Also if It weren't for the Americans you would be nothing except a corrupted country that was conquered by Adolf Hitler! America is the best!

Aston Martin, Jaguar and Lotus are some of the best road cars in the world, and on top of that, 8 out of the 11 teams currently competing in Formula 1 are based in England.

Great cars..well designed..no one does luxury like the English. People will no dought moan that this and that are foreign owned but still made and designed in the UK. Like lamborghini is Italian not I repeat not German.

Yes, Bugatti is a Italian origin surname as well as Cadillac is a French origin surname, that does not make Cadillac a French car company, the dame for Bugatti 100% French except it belongs to VW like Benley for instance which is 100% British. That will stop the unappropriated comments about that. Full stop.

Ettore Bugatti was an Italian, who founded the homonym car factory in France, in business from 1909 to 1963. Later, the brand was bought by an Italian industrialist (1987-1998). In 1998, the brand was sold to Wolksvagen. So, Bugatti is no longer a French brand since 1963. Anyway it has never been the result of the culture and the genius of a Frenchman.

In Africa we drive French cars mainly Peugeot for more than 60 years, some have more than million kilometers, they are really reliable, we enjoy to have them, and hopefully they exist.

The Bugatti family is of course French as the brand, they escape Italy to find a better place to live and to improve and put into practice their know-how.

6 Sweden Sweden, officially the Kingdom of Sweden, is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe. Sweden is the home of Volvo, a well-known car brand in the production of cars and trucks. But besides that Sweden is also home to the fastest car manufacturer in the world, Koenigsegg. It is possible that in the future there will be more brands of cars from Sweden which will compete with car manufacturers such as Germany, the United States and Japan.

They make the safest europe going cars. And yet have won the British touring car championship and are looking into the world touring car championship I heard!

The most reliable cars after Japanese cars. Korea was still new to car making a few decades ago. However, since then, the market of Korean cars has skyrocketed and rightfully so. Great reliable cars with usually up to 7 years warranty. Two of my friends own a Hyundai Tucson and a Kia Picanto respectively. No problems at all despite 50 K kilometers yet. They're very affordable too.

Just 2 cars South Korea made sent South Korea from 9th to 6th on the official list. Kia unexpectedly became the only non German company to make a super saloon at the time. Hyundai suddenly made an incredible hot hatch. And they have made some brilliant off readers too.

I've owned three hyundais in the last 10 years. Never had a single problem with any of them. They're feature rich and well priced. If you're looking for something practical, they're a great choice.

Kia Kia Kia. All there is really. Cheap rubbish. Sorry, but I don't like them.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. There are incredible cars made from the U.S. like the Corvette, Hennessy Venom GT, Dodge, Demon, and any diesel truck. But there are also cars like the Ford Pinto that makes you wonder what Ford was thinking. Being in the U.S. it's a lot easier to get parts for an American made car and the diesel trucks run like a tank with decent gas mileage. America produces both amazing and terrible cars. The good ones overshadow the bad ones. It deserves to be higher on this list.

Home of muscle cars, America is one of the largest automotive markets in the world, brands such as Ford and general motors play a major role in world car production. Like Japan with its jdm community, the United States also has a very large and well-known muscle car community all over the world.

Some brands are not as reliable as Japanese cars like Toyota, but American muscle cars are the most beautiful cars in the world by far.
