YouTube started and has been one website to enjoy, but with copyright, hate speech, and others. These are the 10 countries that banned YouTube way too far.

Turkey has ordered blocks to the website, which first started on March 6, 2007, due to a case. It was reinstated 3 days, but staggered bans came in 2008, 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Since today you are allowed to see Turkey use YouTube.

2 North Korea The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea, is a country in Eastern Asia. Its capital is Pyongyang. In April 2016, it was banned due to the country's laws to the internet. Anyone that sees it in that country may subject to punishment.

3 Libya Libya, officially the State of Libya, is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad and Niger to the south, and Algeria and Tunisia to the west.

In 2010, YouTube was permanently banned in Libya due to demonstrations who killed in an Abu Salim prison in 1996. It was lifted in 2011 but made a local version in 2015.

Sudan blocked YouTube at 2010 following the 2010 presidential election, and also blocked Google. It was said it previously got banned in 2008 for no reason. In 2012, the trailer of "Innocence of Muslims" made the ban again. It was lifted soon after.

5 Morocco Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is the northwesternmost country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. On May 25, 2007, Maroc Telecom ISPS banned YouTube. No reason was given, but was lifted 5 days, as it mentioned a "technical glitch".

In 2006, it was banned to Thai IP addresses. Thai authorities found 20 offensive videos. It was done again in 2007 but was lifted. In April 2007, it was banned due to an insult to a King. It was unblocked in August 2007.

Although Finland did not make a full YouTube ban, On November 30th, 2017, videos that had music were removed from Teosto. It was blocked because they were no rights to show them but was resolved on the same day.

In 2007, YouTube sued Daniella Cicarelli, due to the fact a paparazzo was hosted which included sex. YouTube in Brazil was banned on January 6, 2007, and was unbanned 3 days later.

In February 2008, Pakistan banned YouTube due to the MQM party in the video list. On the 28th, it was unbanned. It happened again in 2010 following Everybody Draw Mohammed Day. It was lifted in May. It kept being banned in 2012, 2013, and 2014. As of 2018, they unbanned it and made its own versions of YouTube (local versions).
