Countries With the Most Interesting History
In my opinion Greece should be on top of the list. The founders of the western world, and a rich, cultural and loong history, longer than Italy's. its fascinating
Greece has a very unique history. From it's famous mythology to its fatal ancient wars, this country has it all.
Much more interesting than Italy
Because why not
Interesting, but way too high up in my opinion
China and Vietnam histories are similar.
How come China below Greece, Italy and, especially USA?! China has thousand years interesting history. USA only has 300 years, plus it all about the British. Boring!
China should be #1 or #2. China has histories of thousands of years, and it so interesting.
Don't believe me? Try to search about China's histories, you're gonna get other histories out of your mind.
China below USA? You must be reaming me.
I’ve never known who doesn’t know cleopatra, or at least heard of her. I think that is good enough proof that Egypt has an interesting history
Obviously, home of the pyramids
Hieroglyphs, Pyramids, Pharao’s, The Nile etc. This country has really great and interesting history.
Egypt is amazing...
There's nothing interesting about American history.
Short history, but all of that history is interesting
The USA has hardly any history.
Germanic tribes destroying Rome, Aachen, Charlemagne, Holy Roman Empire, Bismarck, Prussia, Nazi, Berlin Wall, EU, what more do I have to say?
Germany should be in the top3.
Prussia, Franco-Prussian war, Berlin conference (startingpoint of the trade and colonization in Africa), German colonial Empire, Herero-Namaqua genocides, WW1, Responsibility for WW1, revolution in Germany, Weimar Republic (economy crisis), Nazi Germany, Hindenburg Desaster, Responsibility for WW2, Partition of Germany, Berlin blockade, Berlin Wall, Fall of the Berlin Wall (official end of the iron curtain), reunification...
Beginning with the Holy Roman Empire (of German Nation), over the German Confederation to the Weimar Republic and Third Reich, the division into west and east and the reunion in '89... there are so many things Germany went through! World War 1 & 2 and the importance in Europe because of its central position come also to mind.
I believe the German history is one of the most interesting! Top 3 is debatable, but I think Top 10 seems worthy.
German history is really cool, and I think this should be one of the highest ones in the list.
One of the most important nations in history. It had the largest empire and influence out of any European language. Thanks to them, the entire world speaks English.
Britain has a way more interesting history than others like America, only reason it's higher on this list is because the salty Americans think they are better than everyone else.
The UK definitely has a rich history, especially England. It should be higher on the list than America because its history is a lot bigger and they were a fairly big part of it at one point
We should be higher than America because we made some of the biggest events in Ammerican history!
French Revolution, Bourbon Dynasty, Seven Years' War, Napoleonic Wars, WW1, WW2, and much more. France perhaps has one of the best histories along with the U.K and Germany.
I believe india has vast and interesting history as of battles or gods they all have own culture
Which other country hosts a variety of cultures and religions peacefully!
Indian culture and history are influenced by almost all others in the list.
Obviously it's the most interesting as it is the most broad and amazing
All the periods that happened in the past of Japan was so amazing! From the Sengoku period, to the Edo period, to the Meiji period. It was all interesting, especially the Sengoku period, when the Japanese had to switch to the European to win the wars!
Longest continuous monarchy in the world & in history. Extremely divine-like historical events.
How is Poland in the top 10 instead of Japan?
Went from a trading confederation of norsemen & balto-slavic tribes, to become a mongol vassal, then became the largest northern territorial empire & european superpower in just a short span 500 years.
Russia's history is certainly not pleasant; but it is very interesting and complex
A whole lot of wars, despotic rulers, revolts and an incredible amount of improbable coincidents.
Poland has gone through a lot of fates and falls, but look, it's still on the map. Although she was always in a difficult place not to fight anyone, despite the partitions by three powers: Austria, Russia and Prussia, despite the aggression of the Third Reich and a knife stuck in the back by the Soviet Union and those about 40 years of communism, it still exists. Do you know how many people shed blood for her ?! Do you know how much honor means to Polish Officers ?! Do you know how many Poles risked their lives to save Jews ?! And yet there are so many stereotypes saying that they started the holocaust ... Learn more about this country and its history, you will see how many times Poland helped others and got nothing for it
Long history full of wars and alliances, very divereced when it comes to religion and economics.
I love Poland for it's history
Sad, but beautiful history
Home of vikings
The only country that has been existing since the biblical times that is still an large nation state de facto. Very underrated culture, cuisine and region.
This country is beautiful due to the jnfluence that the Persians left behind. From the art and music to even the influence on modern architecture in Tehran and Shiraz.
Spain's history is the world's history
Amazingly complex with a long history of struggle for control and survival, Israel's history is for sure fascinating
Home of mesopotamia, such an interesting country! Too bad it's at war now
This should be at the top along with Peru, this was home to the aztec people which in my opinion are the most interesting people of all time along with Inca!
From the amount of kdramas that has been made over their very rich history, their historical landmarks, their art styles, and the music instruments... this is definitely what I’d call interesting
It had very harsh time because of Japan China and other countries
For a long time they were a very rich country who dominated trades
300 Years of the fichaste country in the world
Getting increasingly underrated in the west as well as in asia. The impacts of the mongols and the khans are overly vast and cannot be justified in just a sentence, completely altering the trajectory of civilizational states like Russia (Golden Horde), India (mughal descendants), China (yuan & qing dynasties) & turkey (anatolia).
Oldest continuous independent christian nation in the world today, with their own creed & orthodoxy, unparalleled to all the other countries.
Actually if true history was told Ethiopia was going to be the oldest, and first in the list
It has much interesting history that most people don't know about from the stone age to modern times. For example Sweden had colonies and an East indian company that combined with the Danish one traded more tea than the British. It dosen't have to be military history and much things that we use today is because of historical Swedish persons.
Not to be arrogant, but I think Swedens hstory is quite interesting, home of the vikings, plus Gustav Vasa's period, quite big history
One of the oldest continuous civilization in South East Asia, with several classical architectures & monuments still visible and existing today.
