Best Creedence Clearwater Revival Songs
The Top Ten
I'm kinda' surprised that this song made it to number one on here. It's got so much heart, soul, and blues to it. What a great band.
Great song - lots of power and soul. Just a cracking great song. Lodi is another favourite as is long as I can see the light. Someday never comes is another classic that deserves a mention
Once in a concert, I saw someone who was sitting quiet and sober all along; stood up all excited as soon as he heard someone singing a cover of this song.
I give this song along with Journey’s Separate Ways credit for helping me “discover rock n roll. I am 12 years old and I can play through this entire song and Green River on the guitar. I can’t really determine the meaning of this song though...V 11 Comments
This song embodies a generation. What more can you ask for?! Good lyrics? CHECK! Sweet Guitar? CHECK! Perfect Singing? CHECK
Their best by far
This embodies not just the sixties but any generation that has ever heard this song this song is about America it is the greatest song In American history
Makes me want to jump into a fully loaded Huey helicopter and serve up some freedom.
After listening to this song, why do I feel the urge to load my M16 and mow down any village idiot Charlie that I come across? - Bolshoy_BratV 13 Comments
I would say the reason that I'm such a big fan of CCR is that I watched 'The Big Lebowski'. The funny part is that I'm already a huge Slipknot fan.
Love the Big Lebowski reference. "Not the f@#$%*& Eagles". My Dad still sings this one "bathroom on the right".
My late brothers favorite song
Amazing - jameelSAUCEV 1 Comment
Kind of Surprised, but yeah amazing song, thought that it would be a little higher, but Have You Ever Seen the Rain has so much soul that you really can't argue that it is killer.
I remember hearing this as a little kid, I was about six. Haven't heard it until today! I never remembered the name or anything... Good to hear it again!
I'd put it 2, behind Have you ever... rain. Such evocative images.
Rolling to #2V 3 Comments
"Have You Ever Seen the Rain" deserves to be #1, but this is my favourite. It always makes me think of summer. - PetSounds
Listening to this now, groovy, upbeat and a great sound. Mood lifter!
How is this not # 1?!?! Seriously? It's amazing, shockingly motivational for my 15 year old self
I have listened to ccr since I had 3 and this might be the best song I've heardV 3 Comments
I really love them all. It's hard to come here with one song in mind that you want to vote for; then you look down the list and those songs start playing in your head when you see the titles. I particularly like the vocals to this one though. - Britgirl
This should be number ONE! Fogerty's voice is supernatural and this song is proof.
I really do think this song is CCR's masterpiece. It's not just Fogerty's, the drumming and the bass in this song are outstanding. Fogerty is great on every song, but I think the whole band really shines on this one. Also love Who'll Stop the Rain.
This is great. - SwellowV 9 Comments
This is the best driving song! Some sweet guitar! Gotta love it! Awesome stuff!
My favorite for sure brings back so many memories
Best beginning riff ever. Yeah!
Such a catchy and anti-depressing song. It should AT LEAST be in the top 10, but I guess 11 is good to, as long as its up there.
Every time I hear this song I think of the car scene in the Big Lebowski and it automatically makes me smile.
Love this song
One Word: ”FANTASTIC”V 1 Comment
I was expecting this one to be in the top 3 and honestly, this is the only song in my opinion that's better than have you ever seen the rain
Man this song comes on the rock station I listen to, it made me realize how great of a band Creedence was. For such a short lived band they had so many great songs. This would have to be favourite, love John Fogerty's vocals on this one and the guitar is amazing.
Only a little better than "have you ever seen the rain." The guitar melody is just so great on this one that it edges the vote for me. Should be at least in top 5, but at least their 2nd best is at #1
So hard to choose my favourite song by this band because they were great and are one of my favourite bands. I'd have to choose this one, the vocals, the music and the catchyness(haha that's not a word) are too much to resist, I think this should be right behind Have You Ever Seen The Rain? Which I can respect as the top spot song.V 4 Comments
I just selected a random CCR song when I didn't knew the band very good. This was the random song I selected and I loved it. It's been one of my favorites ever since.
My favourite band, and my favourite song of theirs. - truckturner
The best CCR song!
Jesus this should be top 5 no matter top 10...
Underrated song. Not CCR's very best, but it has a cool rhythm and should be in top 10 or maybe higher.
The First CCR song which whom I felt in love
I understand that this song doesn't deserve to be number one, but it definitely deserves to be in the top ten.
What a great song...
Listened to this a lot recently. One of my three favourites by CCR. - Britgirl
I'm offended that this isn't even in the top 10. Amazing song. Every song by them is amazing. Amazing band.
Are you kidding! This song should at least be in the top 3, if not the number one CCR song. Sad to see such a great song at number 9.
Susie Q is a great song, but you look at the top ten and they're all great songs, too. I guess you just can't go wrong with CCR.
This and Born on the Bayou are great jam songs. Might be rated higher if Fogerty had written it, but you’ve gotta love their arrangement of it. Really the song that introduced me to CCRV 1 Comment
With all due respect to Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, etc., this is my favorite version of this song.
This is a true work of art. Amazing guitar solos and Fogerty does a great job of singing at the beginning. A true classic! This should be up way higher.
One of the best covers of all time.
Top 3 for sureV 4 Comments
Listen too this one, it's visceral. In every relation that last more then some weeks, there is always some kind of enchantment.
The best of John Fogerty- his voice is legend in this song.
The guitar solo is one of the best I ever heard
One of the very best guitar rock songs of the era, and possibly CCR’s finest hourV 4 Comments
It was a big gap on this list; just get a look on YouTube you'll c a video of it with more then 5M views. Now look something like "The Working Man" there's no video with more then a tenth of that one.
Beautiful rhythmic song. A classic.
I absolutely love this by Creedence. Was hard to choose between this and the gem that is Born On The Bayou. Two very different sounds. It all depends what type of mood I'm in at the time. Later today I might come back and vote the other. Who can tell? - Britgirl
An unknown song that, if written by the Eagles, would have become a timeless classic.
Great song, and I love Fogerty's arrangement. These guys were Americana personified.
This song was actually written in the 1850s...V 2 Comments
Real fans love this one the best.
Best guitar solo I've ever heard
This song is alright better than run through the jungle I like have you ever seen the rain★★★
Ramble tamble ☆★★ peagan baby ★★★
Brilliant song to swig back on some whiskey and make memories with friends and family
Love CCR! Although it's not the most know song, this is my favorite from them :)!
This is just such a lovely relaxing song. Sometimes, with all the commotion through the day, you just want peace at the end of it; and this is the song to play. - Britgirl
Number 18? What seriously? This song deserves to be #1!
This song has such raw emotion and the sax solo gives me goosebumps every time. At least for me, this is number 1.
Top 5 for me.V 3 Comments
Listen to this song while driving on the Route66
You can feel the emotion!
Fantastic guitarwork and vocals by John Fogerty, I Think this one is my number 2 CCR song of all time after Ramble Tamble.
A song which is always underestimated. It's a melancholic one - something rare for this band. And pretty good done.
Greatest Credence song. Not known well but is somehow really comforting
The most underrated Creedence song. My personal favorite.
Just love every CVR song, but this is truly beautiful and leaves a melancholy note. I love father-son songs.V 1 Comment
Absolutely amazing, the best ccr song in my opinion
Cutting political satire and killer guitar work
Potentially the most underrated of all Creedence songs, the guitar solo is some of Fogerty's best work and the chorus is awesome. For any other band this would be much higher, but CCR is so damn good!
I just love the guitar solo to this song.
This should be top 12 cus it is KILLER! Get a spine chilling feeling every time this is cranked up... Creedence is the best Good Times band but we're also DEEP as hell too...
His lyrics is almost incomprehensible, but who cares? Raunchy and reckless with an awesome bang at the end!
Truly a badass song.
Great 8 minutes of a song. Most people overlook this masterpiece
HOW IS THIS NOT ON THE LIST ALREADY! This is a golden bluesy CCR tune!
Even their least well known songs, like this one, are awesome.
