Top 10 Creepiest Cartoons That Are Not Appropriate for Children

The Top Ten
1 Ren and Stimpy The Ren & Stimpy Show, often simply referred to as Ren & Stimpy, is an American animated television series created by John Kricfalusi for Nickelodeon.

Nothing lovable about the original, it was always a freak cartoon. Its how cartoons died in the 90s.

Ren Seeks Help is terrible. The original Ren & Stimpy was actually quite lovable.

I saw a review online of"Ren Seeks Help". Need I say more?

It kinda scared me when I was little.

2 Regular Show Regular Show is an American animated television series created by J. G. Quintel for Cartoon Network that premiered on September 6, 2010. The series revolves around the lives of two friends, a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby—both employed as groundskeepers at a local park.

Do you know why this is a creepy cartoon. BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTERS AND THE JOKES THAT THEY LOOK VERY WERID AND NOT APPROPRIATE. I swear Cartoon Network, why did you put a show about two morons that work in the park and go to strange adventures that were full of drugs and porn jokes. Well, that happen to me that I watch the episode where two guys were planning for a movie night and the electrically had created zombies so they can ruin the movie. Just, what the heck why everybody wanna to show it like that and ban parents from children. Ignore this cartoon and watch something better like MLP, fairly godparents, SpongeBob, and avatar.

3 Courage the Cowardly Dog Courage the Cowardly Dog is an American animated horror comedy television series created by John R. Dilworth for Cartoon Network as part of the network's Cartoon Cartoons block.

Even when I was little I hated this show, but my brother watched it so I watched it because I don't know why.

I actually like it. But the thing is, it was one of the sickest, creepiest cartoons I could ever watch.

Wow! You Actually Hate This Show? Wow... Just Wow!

4 Powerpuff Girls The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network.

When Mojo Jojo's head broke and part of his brain was exposed, I really thought something was wrong with this one.

5 Adventure Time Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio)—a dog with the magical power to change shape and size at will. Throughout the show, they interact with the other main characters Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Hynden Walch), the Ice King (voiced by Tom Kenny), and Marceline the Vampire Queen (voiced by Olivia Olson). Ok it's quite dark but I'm a super fan of this show because marceline is my love

This show sucks because mi-stakes sucks

6 Foster Home for Imaginary Friends

Anyone remember an older cartoon about a boy with imaginary friends called Oscar and friends.

Two words. Berry Scary.

7 Ed, Edd, N Eddy

Childish, but it's also scary for kids.

8 Betty Boop Betty Boop is an animated cartoon character created by Max Fleischer, with help from animators including Grim Natwick.

I suppose different countries have different minds on cartoons. I was allowed to watch this when I was little.
USA (Where the cartoon came from): Any cartoon that looks sexual is not appropriate for kids.
UK/Europe: We are not prudish like America.
Japan: We made Beauty and the Beach, gory game shows.

How many kids in this century would have even seen this on television

9 Happy Tree Friends Happy Tree Friends (commonly abbreviated as HTF) is an American adult animated flash series created and developed by Aubrey Ankrum, Rhode Montijo, Kenn Navarro, and Warren Graff for Mondo Media. I'm surprised I watched this at a very young age on Netflix and not be horribly influenced. I guess I watched bad stuff unintentionally.

(Sigh) I used to watch this all the time with Steve.-Enderman

10 The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (also known as Billy & Mandy) is an American animated television series created by Maxwell Atoms for Cartoon Network, and is the 14th of the network's Cartoon Cartoons (albeit namely when it was part of Grim & Evil; the show is considered separate from Cartoon Cartoons otherwise). It follows two children named Billy — a slow-witted boy — and Mandy — the cynical best friend — who, after winning a limbo game to save Billy's pet hamster, gain the mighty Grim Reaper as their best friend in eternal servitude and slavery.

This "thing" is just plain gross. I'm kind of like Mandy, though, and it's sometimes funny. So I can't hate it.

How can anyone not talk about how inappropriate this show can be sometimes?

The Contenders
11 Goosebumps

Not a cartoon and you would find the CBBC censored version less scary.

Not a cartoon and it's SCARY! -Enderman

This is not scary

Not a cartoon.

12 Salad Fingers

One of those cartoons that make you scratch your head, going "Why is this a thing? ".

I saw one episode on Teens React. It was disturbing!

13 Rocko's Modern Life Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray for Nickelodeon. The series centers on the surreal life of an anthropomorphic Australian-immigrant wallaby named Rocko as well as his friends: the gluttonous steer Heffer, the neurotic turtle Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog Spunky.

Plenty of adult humour.

SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the sea. The show is considered to be one of the best Nickelodeon and cartoon shows of all time.

If you're reffering to the "new" SpongeBob then I would really agree, but the old show was perfectly fine.

15 The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack is an American animated television series created by Thurop Van Orman for Cartoon Network that premiered in North America on June 5, 2008. It stars creator Thurop Van Orman as the voice of Flapjack, a naive young boy who was raised by a whale named Bubbie and is mentored by a salty sea pirate called Captain K'nuckles.

I know this show was terrifying, but it helped shape what modern cartoons are like. The creators of Regular Show, Adventure Time and Gravity Falls all worked on this show before making their own shows, so.. there's that.

16 Invader Zim Invader Zim is an American animated television series created by Jhonen Vasquez for Nickelodeon. The series centers on an extraterrestrial named Zim from the planet Irk, and his mission to conquer Earth and enslave the human race along with his malfunctioning robot servant GIR.

Umm why do aliens always look like monsters.

17 Rugrats Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon.

Considering that the rugrats is about the story of a girl with schizophrenia and her imaginary friends.

A couple of inappropriate jokes but its fine for kids.

People always make up idiotic theories.
Oh, another one is Homer Simpson has been in a coma since Bart's April Fools Prank.

20 The Brothers Grunt The Brothers Grunt is a Canadian-American animated comedy television series by Ed, Edd n Eddy creator Danny Antonucci that originally aired from August 15, 1994 to April 9, 1995 on MTV.

Basically a failed attempt on MTV's part in replacing Beavis and Butt-Head after parents got it cancelled.

21 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

Don't call Steven universe creepy! it has cool characters like Jasper!

22 Mr. Meaty Mr. Meaty is a Canadian-American television series created by Jamie Shannon and Jason Hopley. The show centers on two lazy teenage boys named Josh Redgrove and Parker Dinkleman, who work at a fast food restaurant.

The puppets are creepy sometimes, a lot of the scenes are creepy, and while the show is still pretty entertaining, so are a lot of creepy shows.

Why do people keep calling this a cartoon?

23 Mega Babies Mega Babies is a Canadian animated series created by the Tremblay brothers, Christian and Yvon, who previously had made the H-B's show SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron.

Gross. What else to say here?

24 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets. It was first broadcast in Japan on April 1, 1997, in the United States on September 8, 1998.

If you was a kid in Japan in the 90s, you could've had a seizure from some episode about Porygon. The Japanese version has guns and an episode James had fake boobs.

It is all Pikachu's fault for making this show inappropriate!

How is Pokemon creepy?!?!?

25 Malice in Wonderland

Isn't this an episode of Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl?
