Top Ten Dallas Sports Team Players

The Top Ten
1 Troy Aikman Troy Kenneth Aikman is a former American football quarterback who played for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League.

He was an extraordinary player plus he donates money to our football program and invited our band to play in his hall of fame parade in Ohio.
I'm from his home town by the way.

How bout them Cowboys- Jimmy Johnson

when Aikman won his FIRST Super Bowl, suck it 85 Bears, 72 Dolphins, and 84 49ers.

Troy Aikman won 3 superbowls for the Cowboys. He's the best Dallas player in my opinion.

2 Dirk Nowitzki Dirk Werner Nowitzki is a German professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

Dirk has been with us forever, and finally won the Mavs a championship. He deserves this spot.

The face of the mavs, humble superstar, and genuinely a good guy

3 Roger Staubach Roger Thomas Staubach, nicknamed Captain America and Captain Comeback, is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League.

The Dallas Cowboys we're America's Team and he was Captain America, the late John Facenda said those words for that short but great documentary on this legend. No doubt, he helped save the 1971 team thanks to his coach Tom Landry who decided in the second half of the season, start Staubach for the remainder of the season, and wow he put the punch into the Cowboys offense and in 1975 Staubach brought back the famed shotgun offense that put the team to the Super Bowl when little was expected from this team.

4 Michael Irvin

Irvin's teammate Daryl Johnston once said of Irvin "Michael was the hardest working man on the team... He was a guy who made some wrong decisions, but he never took anything public, and he never spoke out against anyone on the team. He wasn't the problem. He was more of an inspiration." Michael caught for 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns and a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

10 Michael Young

11 Tony Romo Antonio Ramiro Romo is an American football television analyst and former quarterback who played 14 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
12 Don Meredith

Here's a guy who don't get a love of love here, but he should be mention as he and Tom Landry build the Cowboys from an 0 for 1960 to a playoff and championship contender in the mid 1960s. Of course he's forever remembered for his playoff failures but let's not forget that Don was a popular figure for hid grit and toughness, his outgoing nature and his leadership that the Cowboys need. As a broadcaster, he watched his Cowboys finally fulfilled their Championship in 1971.

13 Charles Haley
14 Rayfield Wright

He lived through the high times and the hard times of the Dallas Cowboys franchise. When he arrived in 1967, the Cowboys were on the verge of being a great team that just couldn't win the big one when it counted. In the early years, he played on both ends of the field. When the Cowboys finally won Super Bowl VI and later Super Bowl XII, Wright was there. He helped with key blocks to give Roger Staubach all the time he needed to fire those passes. A 1972 NFLPA NFC Offensive Lineman of the Year, Wright is truly an all-time great.
