Yeah, of course this should be number one on this list! Why not! This country has the highest homicide rate in the whole world along with El Salvador, Coast Ivore and Venezuela! Avoid Tegucigalpa as much as possible! I reccomend you to NOT visit this country!

This has the second highest homicide rate in the world, it's not as dangerous as Honduras, but still very dangerous, I've heard than San Salvador, the capital city is really dangerous.

3 Venezuela Venezuela, officially the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a federal republic located on the northern coast of South America.

Venezuela is definitely the most dangerous South American country, in fact, it is one of the most dangerous country on the american continent! Now sure, the mountains are so beautiful you would feel like you lived in a movie, but the country ITSELF is super dangerous, Caracas is one of the most dangerous cities in the world and has the highest homicide rate along with the country Honduras. Bad goverment does it have too! So if you want to visit a South American country, DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED OR ANYTHING WORSE!

I think colombia should be higher but barely

My gramma once went to Ecuador, she had bought so much things that were super expensive and on the way back to Sweden, she was robbed, she was only going to get the tickets and she placed the things next to her and a couple of seconds later it was stolen! Everything that she bought was stolen! Not to mention this country lies in the equator so I warn you that it wil be VERY warm down there!

6 Belize Belize is a country on the eastern coast of Central America. It is the only country in Central America whose official language is English, though Belizean Creole and Spanish are also commonly spoken.

Very dangerous, do not visit cities like Belize City, go to the tourist towns instead.

7 Colombia Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a country situated in the northwest of South America, bordered to the northwest by Panama; to the east by Venezuela and Brazil; to the south by Ecuador and Peru; and it shares maritime limits with Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Colombia is starting to improve but most of the country is REALLY BAD! Many people here have been kidnapped, a decade ago this had one of the highest homicide rates along with Venezuela, Honduras and El Salvador, now thankfully this country is impoving but there are still very BAD things about this country! AND if that wasn't enough then you shall hear me, Colombia is usally counted as one of the countries in the world AT the highest risk of terrorist acts. Colombia is definitely not safe yet!

8 Guatemala Guatemala, officially the Republic of Guatemala, is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, Honduras to the east and El Salvador to the southeast.

It has a high homicide rate, it you can tourist here, just be VERY careful!

The fact that it is number one on the best countries in the world lis just makes me sick, have you americans ever heard of 9/11, Las Vegas shootings, Orlando shootings, etc! One of the worst in the world! And the fact that is cost you money to go to the hospital, this is just plain rude and stupid!

Of course USA has to be so high up because everyone is butthurt about a country that is less dangerous than a lot of other countries!
