Top Ten Most Dangerous South American Countries
I'll admit, I love South America, but I also have to admit it's very dangerous. Here are the most dangerous countries in South America.Venezuela is definitely the most dangerous South American country, in fact, it is maybe the most dangerous country on the american continent! Now sure, the mountains are so beautiful you would feel like you lived in a movie, but the country ITSELF is super dangerous, Caracas is one of the most dangerous cities in the world and has the highest homicide rate along with the country Honduras. Bad goverment does it have too! So if you want to visit a South American country, DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED OR ANYTHING WORSE!
It is very boring and don't waste your time.
The fact that this country is number #2 on the best south american countries list speaks uninformed. People get robbed all the time and the only reason people care about this country is because is because of the oversexualized women. I think it deserves to be lower on that list. Sure it has beautiful beaches and a beautiful jungle (Amazonas), but it's not worth getting robbed or killed for. No offense to anyone who is brazilian.
I'm Brazilian so I can say this. Even though our country over the years has become more and more dangerous, it doesn't take that Brazil is a very beautiful country with lots of beautiful places to visit ad enjoy. Our country is going through a horrible time but that doesn't mean people can be saying horrible comments about it.
This place is a dump. Rude people, women not even cute, just oversexualized. Kids from the Favelas robbing good folk left and right... front and back. I'm beginning to assume they don't even have beds at home the way the people be.Never returning to this junkyard every again in my life. Oh and the beaches are unsanitary.
I'm Brazilian so I can speak to it. Brazil is dangerous everywhere and you never know when you're going to be a victim of indiscriminate violence.
You'll be fine. Just learn a bit of Spanish, don't wear lots of Gucci or other expensive, branded clothes in large areas with lots of people, don't wear lots of jewellery, and you will be safe. Colombia is an amazing country, and it is definitely improving. It may not be completely safe just yet, but if you fully immerse yourself in the local culture, even if it means learning the language, buying Colombian clothing and eating like everyone else, you will love Colombia. Don't let the media stop you from visit such a great country.
Everything they present Paraguay on media is a lie. In reality, Paraguay is as impoverished as Africa. They fool people into thinking that they are a successful country when in reality it is the complete opposite. All people in Paraguay use drugs as if they are simply drink water.
Peru and Uruguay above Paraguay? Brazil at number 2? El Salvador and Honduras don't even place? Why is this a featured list again?
El salvador and honduras aren't south american
Very dangerous country.
Bolivia is an horrid country. The capital is full of trash because the people keep throwing their trash everywhere. They don't care about their country. Bolivia is a dump in the form of a country.
Bolivia is the poorest country in South America.
Worst country
Argentina is a poor worthless country whose citizens are racist and believe they're the best. They kill anyone so they can steal their belongings. Argentina is basically a poorer version of Brazil. That's it.
I live in Uruguay. Argentina a is not at all a safe place! The capital is a dump and the people hate everything especially themselves. Nice women and good meat, that's about it.
Safest country in South America by far
Football fans killing goalkeepers
Uruguay, Paraguay, French Guyana, Guyana, Surinam, Bolivia all have higher murder rates than Ecuador, Colombia has a murder rate THREE TIMES higher than Ecuador but Ecuador gets the bronze? haha, no, you're drunk, go home.
Also LOL at "it's very warm down there" the country is smack dab in the andes mountains, the highest mountain chain in the world outside of Asia, the average temperature in the capital Quito is 14c, during the day it can get to 24c at most, and during the night it can go as low as 5c, even in the coastal regions it only gets as warm as, say, a mild summer in Europe.
Ecuador, especially the capital, is full of slum areas. Everyone, I mean, everyone will bother you and ask for money. And the worst of all, they will threaten to kill you if you don't give them money. Ecuador sucks as is its economy.
Guyana is full of insane violent people. Like every country in South America, all they do is kill each other and do drugs because drugs are prevalent in Latin America. Guyana is not safe for anyone and never will.
Most of the country consists of cocaine plains and so, but it dosen't have a messed up goverment lucky enough!
Murder rate of just 3.59 per 100.00 inhabitants, it is not only the safest country in South America, not only the safest country in Latin America, but also the second safest country in ALL of the Americas, after Canada, that's right, Chile is safer than the United States! (murder rate of 4.88)
Chile, like every South American country, is impoverished and filled with violent aggressive people. Drugs and crime are rampant in Chile and the government is super corrupt. Never visit Chile unless you want to get kidnapped and robbed.
You can walk in the streets with no peril at all. All statistics confirm that this is a safe place to be, low murder rates, no kidnappings and nice people
Super hot, just think of all the frnech soldiers that have to walk here in melting dirt, hot savannas and stuff, and some people drown in the swamps, this is not really a safe country.
A country with no discipline whatsoever, rampant crime and gang members, a super corrupt government, and several drug stashes? You have Suriname. A poverty-stricken country with no chance of improvement.
Uruguay sucks as is its people. Everywhere, its citizens live in the streets begging for money. They fight each other over thing such as money and other valuable item. Uruguay is a no-go place unless you want the citizens to attack and kill you.
This is one of the safest coutntries in South Amerca along withg Argentina, besides, the mountains are beautiful, I recommend you to go to this country, be careful still, but count on that it's one of the safest countries in South America.
I will go here on holiday
