Eminem definitely defines a decade. He was a white rapper and black people didn't take white rappers seriously. He was a HUGE icon back in the early 2000s and won Billboard Artist of the Decade and was the only rap artist to do so. He also released two of the greatest and best-selling hip-hop albums of all time which is The Eminem Show and The Marshall Mathers LP and both went Diamond in America. He also is the best-selling album act of the 21st century and has the fastest selling rap album in history (The Marshall Mathers LP). He has globally sold 220 million records and is the best selling rap artist. He also has the longest running #1 rap single (Lose Yourself) which ran for 23 weeks at #1. 2 of his songs and album has been inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame(Songs- Stan and Lose Yourself, Albums- The Eminem Show, The Marshall Mathers LP). Eminem shaped the 2000s decade (and some of the 2010s).
