George Foster was the final key in the Cincinnati Reds 1975 and 1976 championship team. As a member of the Reds, he hit .300 in his first year as a Red. In 1976 he played in the first of 4 straight All-Star Games, that year he hit .306 with 29 home runs and 121 RBIs and led the Reds to their 2nd straight World Championship. In 1977 he had a career year as he hit 52 home runs and 149 RBIs and grabbed the National League MVP. In his career he hit 348 home runs and drove in 1,239 RBIs.
